  1. It's looking like they took some heat for it already! This page on GAdv's site now shows no mention of the "no rentry" that was there this afternoon.
  2. I got my Roady2 in my car and another in the wife's! And I plan on picking up one of these when the become available! Current Presets: 1- High Voltage (O&A PARTY ROCK!) 2- Squizz 3- Mix 4- 20 on 20 5- BPM 6- Boneyard 7- Lucy 8- Baseball/Hockey (Depending on Season) 9- XM Comedy 0- NYC Traffic & Weather
  3. ^ 57.5 rides here and I think I know what I felt. And Me and RJ aren't the Only Ones who have felt this either... (Miss ya over there RJ!) I never said I was a Mech Eng, but if you look at how the system is designed, with the multiple accumulators and multiple delivery systems (hoses) for the fluid to travel in from the accumulators to the motors, I can totally see how there could be a disturbance in the force (ok that was stretch!) of the launch. The pulses aren't like switching gears, it's just like ZooooMZoOOooOoMZoOOOOOM faster and faster. Have you seen video of the motor during a launch? The hoses jerk all about. I'm not saying I believe this IS the cause, just that it is possible. Totally Agree! Ka shakes like a mother (especially in the back) and it is totally unacceptable! If I paid $25+ Million for a ride, I would be sooooo pissed right now! Don't get me wrong, the thing is an incredible ride! And definetly in my Top 5 Steels, (No I haven't been to CP) but it shouldn't shake like it does. Six Flags? Rush Construction? NEVER! But I don't think rushed construction is to blame for the motor. That seems more like a manufactured part...
  4. Great TR! I was just at that Wax Museum on the 30th! Let me tell you, the pictures do those thing no justice at all! They are VERY VERY realistic in person. Enough so that if you stare someone in the eyes, you get weirded out pretty quickly! I tried to stare down that pansy Colin Farrell, but he kicked my ass! It seriously looks like they will come to life. Plus it sucks because all of my pictures came out the same way too. The flash makes them all look very waxy (shiny) and some look VERY tan. In person most of them look very real! And what? I saw the Ozzy Picture, you didn't want one with Yoko Ono? She was right next to him, kind of in a corner under the stairs. (I honestly didn't see ONE person go up to her!) And did you blow in J-Lo's ear? She was by fary my favorite of all them there!
  5. Not bashing TTD, or even trying to be argumentative...but, Is it really a big detail? Ka's queue was empty at the time, so does it matter? Could TTD's theming have possibly flown into the queue instead? Was it designed NOT to go into the queue? Both accident were random, unpredictable acts, So I don't see how the end result matters. Both accidents could have gone VERY differently. And what about the people that got hit by flying shards of metal on TTD? Yeah TTD is MUUUUUUCH safer... At least on Ka noone was injured. That makes it safer right? Oh thats right, just another uncontrolable random act. (I'm not bashing either ride here, I'm just pointing out that no ride is "safe")
  6. I can back up everything RJ says as I was with him for those 50-some launches that day (Plus a rollback!). You DEFINETLY get different types of launches and I have felt all of what RJ described. In addition to your "other factors" the pulses can also come from the way the hydraulic fluid is being "delivered" do the motor. Think of it like this. You are forcing a large amount of high pressure fluid through very small openings (motors) which in turn spin the spindle. If there is ANY variation in the fluid it will affect the forces applied to the spindle, and thus the catch car, ride and rider. IANAME (I am not a Mech Eng), but I am an engineer and this sound like a totally plausible reason for the "pulses". Trust me, they do exist. It's like PULLL-PUUULLL-PUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
  7. We just saw The Producers last weekend. (It was Great!) Got day of show tickets at the TKTS booth in Times Square. Notables Ive Seen? Phantom Les Mis Miss Saigon Sweet Charity Blue Man Group Jekyll and Hyde A Christmas Carol What do I want to see? Spamalot Avenue Q Dirty Rotten Scoundrals
  8. Isn't Six Flags required to rebuild? I thought that was part of their contract with the city of NO.
  9. I've read elsewhere that this is a "Viral Marketing" campaign for the new season of the Chappelle Show. The website domain is registered to a well-known marketing company, soooo... take it for what you will. But if people are emailing it to one another saying "OMG Check this out!", it's working as designed.
  10. Had some Flying Fish with dinner last night! Mmmmm Beer...
  11. We went last year, and it was a great event! Lines were light (except for fiding seating for the parade!) Free Cookies and Hot Chocolate! Did I mention Short Lines? It was definetly a great addition to our Disney trip last year! btw - We went first week in December as well!
  12. Great flick! I saw a leaked copy about a month ago. It really is just an extended FG episode with some curses thrown in. All-in-all a must see for the Family Guy Fan!
  13. The guys who did the rendering do not know if the bridge is staying either because they were not told. If you look at the various pictures and videos, you can see that it is just a dead end path, but that is not set in stone. As for LTNP, there hasn't been any other information released besides it being "Lakeside". Speculation is that it will go either underneath the Log Flume, or in between the Bandstand and the Lakefront arena.
  14. 2 Blue Moons the other night at the Mexican Place... MMMMM....
  15. The Wire really is one of the best HBO shows out there, I just wonder what they will do next season. And I know it's a reality show, but "The Mole" was probably the best I had seen out there (Well, besides Amazing Race). What was great about The Mole was that noone got "voted off" there was a test at the end of each week, and the person that got the most questions wrong was voted off. It really made for a better show with less "alliances" and more strategy. I'm guessing the complexity of it all is what killed it. Season 2 was put on "hold" for 9 months after 3 episodes (at least they did bring it back), and then they cast the final blow with "Celebrity Mole".
