Cedar Fair Rankings

It's good but I think there are a few better woodies in the chain, here is my top 3 list: 1. The Beast 2. Gold Striker 3. Shivering Timbers -

If we ever got a B&M invert what size could we expect? I don't expect an Alpengeist, but WoF got one taller than Raptor, most people consider raptor better. Would we get Banshee restraints? Do you think we would get an intense one or a forceless one? -

^ Ask a Minnesotan: Log Chute or Thunder Canyon? It is obvious, Log Chute and maybe it is possible they could replace Thunder Canyon with it. They have been reviving areas of the park in the last few years, and this area could be next. A new water ride could be possible. Also on another note, Thunder Canyon has an unnecessarily large queue. I could see them removing part of it and adding a small flat. A windseeker could go there, where there is no height limit. I don't want to start the whole windseeker discussion again, but if they got one, they could put it there. -

What I would put in: 1. B&M invert 2. Better Waterpark 3. Intamin Blitz -
The title says it all for this thread, rate the best five coasters at your home park. If you have more than one home park do both, or pick your favorite. I will go first. I live in Minnesota so I will do Valley Fair and Nickelodeon Universe. Valleyfair! 1. Renegade 2. Wild Thing 3. Steel Venom 4. High Roller 5. Excalibur Nickelodeon Universe 1. Avatar Airbender 2. Rock Bottom Plunge 3. Pepsi Orange Streak 4. Fairly Odd Coaster 5. Barnyard Hay Ride

A tempesto clone would also be a good fit for this park. To me it seems their top priority when getting a coaster should be a launch. -

I am glad we got the green Morgan instead of the red and white ones. -

We did... But then they painted the corkscrew. It needed to be painted though, so no complaints there. Purple and black would be cool, but I bet I am in the minority of that opinion. Also if white is involved in the coasters color scheme, I would much prefer to see it as the track instead of the supports, like with Afterburn. I also would like that color scheme. Does having High Roller decrease our chance of getting white in our color scheme? -

You sound so certain. Not bad color schemes but they are pretty traditional, for coasters like hypers or gigas or wing riders. Afterburn can pull it off so I would be fine with it, but usually inverts have two vibrant colors. -

Right, because another shade of green would be so unique at VF. Maybe an Aqua, Light Blue or Turquise would be better. -

The invert would be cool over the midway like Silver Bullet. I would expect a B&M for our coaster that will probably come in 2016/17, but after that maybe something like iSpeed in 2019/20/21/22 in the Dino area. Throw in a dark ride and it would be the KBF of Minnesota! Preferred color scheme for the intamin blitz would be the same as Riddlers revenge. I love that color scheme and it would be completely unique to any colors of any other VF coaster. Crazy speculation is fun! -

About 16,500,000 in U.S. Currency, not completely impossible, crazier things have happened. After all we are a "growth park". That doesn't mean turn into CP, but it counts for something. -

Mr.Ouitmet also stated it is unlikely there will be any other dark ride additions until after 2016. So therefore we can't talk about it because 2016 is all that matters? He said eventually it will happen so it is certain we will get a dark ride in the future. 2017 isn't too far away, 2013 seems like a few months ago. -

For the CF dark ride situation where could one go at VF? Matt Ouitmet said there are available buildings at all 11 CF parks. I would guess on using the building they use for the Zombie High School, though they could relocate the bumper cars to Route 76 and use that building. -

Again, dude, you're giving them way too much credit. That's not at all why the entrance is where it is. If that "scheme" applies to anything, it's having the two big stores up at the entrance so people can pick up a souvenir on the way out. So what is the reason then? It seems pointless not to have an entrance there if that is not the reason. -

I agree. Valleyfair has made several good general improvements this offseason and the 2013-14 offseason which leads me to believe the park could be preparing for something relatively big in the near future, though I still don't think we will see a new coaster until at least 2017. On a side note, do any of you think they might eventually put something in this green grassy field to the right of Corkscrew's exit. I think it would be the perfect spot for Larson Flying Scooters because there used to be flying scooters in that general vicinity in the park's early days, and with several other CF parks getting them, it's certainly a possibility. I think flying scooters would be good for a route 76 or planet snoopy expansion. They could relocate the bathrooms from near the HR turnaround to the corkscrew field. Then expand the park, or build a new coaster station, or whatever in the area where those bathrooms used to be. -

What paved path do you speak of? From Mad Mouse to the wave Pool there is cement, it gets darker than the mid way path. -

No new entrance on the 2015 map, yet there is a paved path. I wonder what is going on. We will find out when Valleyfair! opens in less than a month Also it is nice to see cars back on the Ferris Wheel and not just a spiny skeleton.
