  1. I rode one of these at a carnival. It was rattling its rusty parts so much I thought it was going to fall apart. It scared me >.
  2. ^luckily you have many options for many continents. A revolutionary war would be cool in the Americana section. Other CF parks don't really have a park theme so it would be tougher (Dorney, ValleyFair, etc.)
  3. Thoughts on Looping Starship anyone? I think it's good, not great. I guess it will probably be staying a while since the queue was refreshed. The near future water park expansion won't be taking its grave.
  4. Ooh fun! I have to say though that 2014 was an exception and the park VERY rarely floods during the season so the GP really only know of the 2014 incident. It really isn't associated with the park, so good idea, but this isn't really a park theme.
  5. This is a good idea for a dark ride to replace the Excalibur roller coaster, keep the same awesome sign.
  6. The old sign was classic and fine the way it was. The new sign is a meh. I like the look of the new sign but I like the old one for its history. I bet the new sign will grow on me, I can already see it.
  7. I feel the same way. This is my fear if VF gets the budget for a B&M that they would get a Winged coaster just like X-Flight. My feeling is if you please the hard core enthusiast (ie. Invert or Floorless) then you should be able to please or blow away the GP so why not go that route if you are going to spend that kind of cash? SFGA can have Winged coaster in their line up because they have other thrilling coasters to fill that experience. VF, not so much. In the end I would take a Winged coaster over a Vekoma too. I also think an S&S Free-Spin could fit in easily at VF and be a hit. It would be nice for VF to get a coaster so we could start to speculate/complain about what type of flat the park needs to add. An S&S Freespin is pretty much a wing coaster except the trains flip you around so I'm not really sure what to think about your post.
  8. You said my exact thoughts.
  9. I have heard a lot of evidence your next roller coaster will be a GCI, and I think they will make it very awesome. I hope it will have a splash down! That would make it more unique and awesome.
  10. Lots of people suspect Kings Island to get a Giga in the next 5 years, but I don't think other parks will get them for a while...
  11. Kings Island 2016 - Water park expansion 2017 - Family ride expansion (Ferris Wheel and Antique Autos ride) 2018 - B&M Giga 2019 - S&S screamin' swing 2020 - none
  12. This thread is simple. What roller coaster in your opinion has the best color combination? Post a pic after your response so we can see the beauty! I will start: Banshee by far has the best color scheme in my opinion. The dark blue and the dark pink/red just rocks my world.
  13. Not a wing rider to CW. Cedar Fair said they would not put in another wing rider until 2018 or later so Gatekeeper can stay unique.
  14. It may not be among the most thrilling of coasters, but if you find a hyper coaster "extremely boring" you should find a new hobby.
  15. The two key differences are the color schemes and the layout after the third hill. Wild thing goes through a high helix and then a low helix, and mamba drops down to the ground and just does a low helix. I prefer wild things layout and colors so I prefer Wild Thing. Steel force also has different colors and a different layout than wild thing. I like its layout the same but not the colors.
  16. When ever you watch an offride roller coaster video on youtube and you see an empty seat on a train do you ever think: Dang I could have been there! Maybe it's just me though.
  17. Since we are on the topic of trains, I just thought I would say that I think the Renegade trains and uncomfortable. The metal seatbelt clip gets jammed between the lab bar and my skin every time I ride and the rattling doesn't help. Just my opinion. I also don't like the OTSR on Corkscrew, but I don't think the park will be replacing trains any time soon. For those who want different trains on WT, they might do it if the trains derail again. Maybe the Morgan derailing problem has been solved but I do not know about it.
  18. Shivering Timbers destroys Renegade IMO, but we have so many more rides (Wild Thing, Steel Venom, Power Tower, Xtreme Swing, Looping Starship) there really is no question about which park is superior.
  19. A coaster in 2016 and another in 2020. The 2016 coaster could go in one of our discussed places, and the 2020 coaster in DA. SV and Renegade were four years apart so this isn't far fetched.
  20. ^I agree, but I think they won't relocate their SLC, they will just turn it to scrap. Just my opinion, but I could be wrong. I heard that ride always has a short queue at CW, so I think CF probably knows it won't be successful at a park like ValleyFair because we have many better rides than an SLC, but with the MiA relocation it could possibly be the second most popular coaster there so it would be successful there.
  21. Awesome now we have two crappy splash pads.
  22. We already have a headbanger (corkscrew) and a jerker (excalibur). We do not need this it doesn't fit our line up.
