^ If that is true that we have the same population as Carowinds then why is Cedar Fair just noticing this now? Fury325 could have been ours. We may have bright things in the future, but if we don't get something good in 2016 I am going to flip out. -

Canada got a hyper, a giga, and is heavily rumored to get something big next year. Everything after 2007. Wish our park had better luck. -
I guess, but I do not like them. These creepy two men kept following me around trying to get me to come to their house to learn karate (They were employees). Not all, but lots of carnivals and fairs kind of suck. I guess if they have rollercoasters then they are amusement parks. I just don't think Cedar Fair, Six Flags, Disney, Busch Gardens, etc. would hire someone like this.

I don't think they have to expand for the next soak city upgrade. They just have to use the land they have and be creative. I liked the idea of mat racers in the entrance path and making a new entrance in between the new splash pad and the new slides. Something else could also go in the old kiddie area. Another thought, Excalibur and Thunder Canyon are okay, but they could get rid of both. A future waterpark expansion could take excaliburs spot and a new coaster could take Thunder Canyon's spot. Not fun to say good bye to rides, but it would certainly be a big improvement. The new coaster station could go before the tunnel, you know the one with waves painted on it. The tunnel and paths beyond would just be destroyed. It would give the coaster more room by taking over unneeded path space. The only possible issue would be the new coaster's station would be right by renegade's. Not sure if it is a problem, but it would be a little weird. -
What was your first B&M Coaster?
Snowyowl1028 replied to thrillseeker4552's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Haven't ridden one yet. This summer I might. -
I will go first. Cedar Point: RMC Mean Streak already! A B&M flying coaster would also fit perfectly.(2016) Kings Island: This park has B&M Giga written all over it.(2020) Carowinds: A well landscaped wing coaster by B&M would be a good fit for their line-up.(2020) Kings Dominion: This park is in need of a hyper, but make it a B&M invert over 200 feet. This park is competing with alpengeist so it makes it a perfect fit.(2017) Canadas Wonderland: They need a launched coaster. Something like Maverick, Wicked Twister, or the long shot: Strata Coaster.(2017) Knott's Berry Farm: I can see a B&M hyper or Giga squeezing in here, but Cedar Fair will have to get creative.(2018) Dorney Park: This park needs a GCI woodie, or any awesome wooden roller coaster. (2018) Valleyfair!: Any B&M would match their line up (excluding hyper) but the best fit would be an invert around 150 feet. (2016) Worlds of Fun: I can see this park getting a Tempesto clone, they need something with a launch. (2017) California's Great America: This park needs a hyper by ANY manufacturer. (2019) Michigan's Adventure: I expect them to get something small, but appealing to the GP. A eurofighter would be a perfect fit. (2016)

In this thread I thought it would be fun to predict what Cedar Fair will give all their parks for their next coaster and when. It will be interesting to see other peoples predictions all together and easier than going into individual threads and reading fan boy's unrealistic fantasy predictions. With no bias to most/all parks I think it would be more exciting to see the predictions from all participants. Enjoy!

I don't understand why ''traffic'' is a problem. Maybe I don't have the same experiences, but the only time I felt VF was too crowded was during the haunt and that was everywhere. To me this area isn't to small, just another area of the park. -

I'm pretty sure that he meant the Excalibur part of the park, which is a pretty long walk for only a couple rides. Oh yeah. When I was a GP I was barely even aware of that part of the park I had been there maybe twice until I became interested in coasters and wanted to ride them all on every visit. -

Are you serious?! One of the world's tallest and fastest coasters and it is just semi-awesome, and gets boring after your first visit? That is just kind of... I'm sorry, my home park is VF and I really want to ride something like this. -

This is kinda dumb, but I was unaware of a new sign Can you please post a link for more info? Thanks. Also I think it would be cool if the wave was relocated to Soak City because I never ride it because of my clothes, but in Soak City it would be awesome! I don't think that is very realistic though. -

I hope when VF gets a new coaster, its lift and sign really pop like Fury325. Excalibur is the only ride in the park with a really nice sign. High roller and Wild Thing have lights but they are weak, I really want a pop like Fury325's lift hill. -

I don't know where you got the "...where a lot of people here have suspected..." part from these forums. A few maybe but not a lot. Now, I have seen a lot of people speculate that a flat ride or two could go there but not a coaster which makes much more sense. Oh come on. That was getting thrown around on these forums months before I even began posting. I guess an invitation to speculate away can't be taken at this point in good fun. It was getting thrown around by a handful of people not "...a lot or people..." like you state. Most people realize that turn around in WT where the amphitheater sits now could house a large flat, 2 regular size flats or a very small coaster. Speculate all you want, it is part of the fun of these forums. But with freedom to speculate comes the freedom to criticize or disagree. So if your going to do that your going to need to develop a little thicker skin if someone disagrees with you. I speculate here all the time and not everyone agrees with me. My speculation is that the next full size coaster will sit where Excalibur currently is today. Remove a dog and add a coaster that will make people travel all the way to the back of the park. VF in my opinion needs quality over quantity and from an operational stand point it makes sense money wise. After that I agree with the speculation in this forum that a coaster could go up front and use some of the parking lot and possibly redo the entrance in the process but I don't see that happening until the Dino's leave. I think there are a lot of spots a coaster could go with out crushing excalibur, they just have to get creative. Also Renegade and Soak city are towards the back of the park. Why would visitors not go to the back of the park when there are two prime attractions in the area? I agree we need quality, but quantity is also important. I think VF will hang on to Excalibur a while longer but I do see it going maybe 10 years down the road. Disagree all you want, just my thoughts. -

If they need to redo the booth system to add a new coaster, I think they would. Moving a few booths couldn't possibly be as hard as relocating a ride or demolishing and redoing an area. BTW I think a coaster in the amphitheater spot is reasonable. Maybe a 4D ride like batman at Fiesta Texas in the future, but for our next coaster we are in need something too big to fit in the amphitheater spot, hopefully a B&M next year. They really have to think outside of the box for a new coaster. There certainly isn't a large plot of land splat in the middle of the park. Hope the odds our in our favor! -

I thought of another place a coaster could go. Remove amphitheater and carnival games. Put the station in the old scrambler spot. Have the body of the coaster go in the games section and the amphitheater spot. I'm guessing it would have some interaction with the mid-way. You could put a coaster in the parking lot space that was blocked off with cones last season. Then expand the parking lot to that area where they where digging. You could relocate wheel of fortune to the WT turnaround, relocate food booths and have the coaster station there. The coaster squeezes through buildings in the area then the body is behind renegade or high roller. I guess this park isn't as strapped for space as I thought it was, who knew? -

Imagine 20 years ago, (1995) Would we have expected Wild Thing Renegade Steel Venom Power Tower and Xtreme Swing? Maybe some, but certainly not all of those rides. The park had the potential for those rides back then and now it is there now. I bet the next 20 years will be great for Valley Fair as well. It is definitely so unpredictable to even speculate this far out though so sorry guys I will stop. WOOOO 100 posts! -

I am not really sure how "growth park" translates into a small SLC. I think this park has lots of potential and a few good rides could turn it around. A small B&M next year, a full circuit launch, RMC if possible, I can't wait to see what VF will be like in 15 years. In other thoughts, do you all think a giga is possible like 20 years down the line? Kings Island and maybe Knotts are probably going to get them in the next 5 years, and after that do you all think they will add Gigas to parks like Dorney, WoF, and VF? Or do you think they will be done with gigas. We got a hyper 7 years after CP. It is different times, but is it still possible? -

I was thinking it could sneak through there, and then the large body of the coaster would be behind all that. It may be tricky, but rides have been squeezed in crazier places.
