  1. Considering this (as well as Leviathan and Banshee) is the only Cedar Fair new coaster for the year, I would sure hope it has the best sign. There are other parks out there adding new coasters, I never said this was a Cedar Fair countdown. If it was, there is still the Rougarou sign to compete with.
  2. ^ Renegade has arguably the longest line in the park on most days so many people will still be going back there. If they need to relocate the entrance for new slides i'm all for it. There has been days where Wild Thing is a walk on and Renegade has a 30 minute wait, so no worries about merchandise. For the next coaster, I think VF should move Wheel of Fortune to the Wild Thing turnaround, and the food booths to Picnic Point. That way they can fit a station in the area they have been giving lots of attention to. The coaster will also have lots of different ways it could go then: snake around Renegade and Thunder Canyon, or go behind High Roller. The flood zone shouldn't be a big issue, otherwise Excalibur and Renegade would not have been built. I know there are lots of places for a coaster to go, but this seems most logical to me. VF won't have to remove or interfere with other rides and that area will now have Soak City, Renegade, Mad Mouse, Looping Starship, and 2016/17 coaster. This is all going out on a limb, but it seems logical to me. Anyone see obvious flaws? let me know!
  3. I think the Fury325 sign takes this years award: 2012 - Leviathan 2013 - Gatekeeper 2014 - Banshee 2015 - Fury325
  4. The water park entrance is still the same on the 2015 map, but I think it is very likely for the future.
  5. It looks like the midway will be right next to the slide tower. I hope we get to watch people go down the speed slides from the mid way! I like that kind of stuff like watching the wave or the wild thing drop.
  6. The first time I rode steel venom I was 8 and it was a fairly new ride. I was not expecting the holding brake and when it happen I almost peed myself. I was already terrified of the fast launches, so that was icing on the cake. I would prefer the holding brake to another twisting spike.
  7. I agree these things don't need to happen WT is an awesome ride, but I think we were just talking about possible improvements. I get kind of tired of reading coaster enthusiasts saying if it isn't Intimidator305 then it's forceless. WT is awesome. Shooting up the first few hills is really intense.
  8. I don't ride in the back of the wild thing, it is unbearably loud, but the renegade is really fun in the back rows.
  9. Speaking of if we could change a coasters' track, I wish the wild thing had a better drop, and a faster lift hill. I have read many comments of wishing the Wild Thing was better, but tbh, I am happy with the Wild Thing except for those two things. By a better drop I mean I wish it was steeper and looked more intimidating. Sometimes it just looks kind of lame. I would also maybe through an inversion or two on excalibur. After all, it is a steel coaster. I know it won't happen, but i'm just having fun.
  10. High Roller really does need a fresh coat of paint because it is starting to look 'worn out' (at least the paint) in a lot of area's. After the bad winter last year I was waiting in the line for HR on the opening weekend Saturday and a mother said to her son next to me after he asked about why it looked so bad and she responded, "Due to the long winter they must have not had time to paint it this year.....". As much as I wanted to show off my coaster geekness and tell her that no park has the resources to paint a coaster every year I just bit my lip and kept quiet like I should have. But when the GP starts making comments like that it is time for a paint job. Don't know what the insurance risk would be to the park but I would volunteer my time for free to help paint it if they asked and I could probably find some others to help. SV does need a refresh paint job too because it is fading after 10 plus years in the sun. That will take real painters who know what they are doing though, not nearly as easy as an all white wood coaster. I would like to see SV get a new color scheme all together, it isn't too bad but it could be lots better. IMO I would give it black supports with purple track. Also I wasn't a big fan of the color scheme they chose to repaint mad mouse a few years back. My guess would be they wanted to use up the extra orange paint from the corkscrew but I think lime green track with steel venom blue supports is a good color scheme for a wild mouse. I think six flags Mexico has those colors on their wild mouse.
  11. X2 - Six Flags Magic Mountain
  12. Ok this one is easy but here is a hint: It is a hypercoaster.
  13. Hmm... no Excalibur. I know it's always a walk on, but do you think they never did the fast lane on it because it could be going soon?
  14. I don't know where to ask this but is an RMC a steel coaster or a wood coaster, because many people would say wood coaster, but the there are RMCs like Medusa: Steel Coaster.
  15. The graffiti is not a big problem for me, I never really noticed it in the renegade queue. I noticed some on the High Roller, but it was very minimal. IMO it's not really an issue, and I don't see VF doing anything about it in the future.
  16. If it is about a two year process, there is probably a coaster in the plans now, because we are likely to get one in 2016 or 2017. So that's a good thought.
  17. Do you guys think they've hit the drawing board for 2016 yet? I hope they are working on something awesome!
  18. An idea popped into my head the second I saw that extra space: a B&M floorless, wing, or invert with the station in route 76, lift going over the entrance drive in, and the coaster occupying that space. Also if high roller ever collapsed or something I can see them expanding west.
  19. Well maybe High Roller is nearing the end of it's life time but i'm not sure. I don't think they would remove a coaster for a while, all of our coasters are very compact except for Wild Thing and we all know that's not leaving soon. I think at this point they should just expand. Anyone know if that would be a problem?
  20. Well, that tweet was made a long time ago, so I guess it's possible that Valleyfair has dropped Subway since then, which wouldn't bother me since I'm not a big Subway fan. Yeah, I don't really care either because I never eat at the park, way too overpriced.
  21. Yes, I am aware that B&M is their go-to manufacturer right now, but I like being optimistic because it so much more fun than being the opposite.
  22. The intamins at CP are what keep it popular, once intamin improves its reliability, they are likely to buy from them again.
