  1. I remember that being trademarked a while ago (don't remember a logo). At the time, someone mentioned it as being either a dark ride or for Haunt. Voyage to the Iron Reef was trademark as well. So, yes.
  2. Really coming along! I really want to ride this one!
  3. It doesn't have to? Not every park has to make that much money. For being in the middle of nowhere and open for only a few months, Michigan's Adventure pulls in an enormous attendance. Not every park has to have 3 million visitors-- it's unreasonable. Long story short; CF will not sell Michigan's Adventure for two reasons: A) They just bought new land, B) Huge profit margin. Fin d'Histoire.
  4. http://rcdb.com/12364.htm According to rcdb, the coaster's name will be Embargoed. Personally I like it a lot. Not to mention, very unique!
  5. Why is Opening Day on Sunday at CW? Is Sunday a more significant day than Saturday in Canada, or is there some other reason? Sorry if I sound dumb. Actually, yes. More people tend to do their leisure activities on Sundays (at least where I am in Southern Ontario, anyways). In some areas it's even the busier day for grocery stores and what not. I'm not sure why they wouldn't open on the Saturday though, if only to take advantage of the extra operating day at a time when they are only open on weekends... I mean, as nicman mentioned above, it's been Sunday for years, but now that you mention it, it actually is a good question as to why Sunday. It has been Sunday since at least 2002 when I first started visiting the park. I belive the reason is because one of the major 6 banks in Canada rents out the entire park, usually TD or Scotia. The weekend before opening day is also often rented out. For whatever reason it is always the Saturday before opening thats rented. I think you're right. For as long as I can remember, RBC rents out the park on the Saturday.
  6. Gotta go with my all-time favourite coaster, the Minebuster at CW.
  7. Personally I think the name "Brain Drain" is kind of dumb and I think Darien Lake already has a ride with that name, it's called "Mind Eraser"! So does Elitch Gardens...
  8. What about Brain Drain; the name of the exact same ride at Darien Lake's sister park?
  9. Not sure why, but Behemoth makes me dizzy.
  10. Nice report! I know for a fact that they water the track/wheels on Backlot Stunt Coaster at CW.
  11. Mine should probably be the Mighty Canadian Minebuster at CW, my favourite roller coaster.
  12. I've been on few coasters, but my tallest steel coaster would be Leviathan, and wood would be Le Monstre at La Ronde.
  13. If Cedar Fair was to put new trains on Wild Thing, I could only see them buying new B&M trains, like on Steel Dragon 2000.
  14. Also, Crazy Beach Party at Playland will be relocated within the park. The new ride will be called 'The Beast'.
  15. Bad news... no single rider lines Time Warp and the Bat have single rider lines, I believe.
  16. I feel that a Larson Tower would work perfectly for this park. For some reason, I have a feeling that if they were to get a flat next year, it would be a Larson tower.
  17. The Mighty Canadian Minebuster at Canada's Wonderland has the three-bench trains. The ride itself is fine, but the trains struggle to round the helix. I really hope they switch to two-benchers, but I doubt it unless they do RMC Iron Horse or Topper Track on the ride.
  18. Always on Behemoth, and Leviathan. Quite often on the Mighty Canadian Minebuster, also at CW.
  19. Not suprising. I know for a fact that, during the summer, the location at Canada's Wonderland has a line stretching out of the store and down International Street. These things are a gold mine.
