  1. It's been running all day today so far, one train, if you run to it right at rope drop, you shouldn't wait to long. I was on the first train today, and went back around after and only waited about 10 mins. They only let one train on the loading platform at a time, so even if the line looks long, it's really not that bad, as they're keeping everyone else behind the chain. Are they assigning seats? Followup question. Does anyone know any good discounts going on at the park? The only thing I can really find is 5 dollars off of admission with my seasons pass. I'm taking my brother on sunday. To buy online is 75 dollars for the day after fees but I don't know if it is worth it to buy them online or just wait and pay at the gate. Yes, they're assigninf seats. If you have a season pass, you should have received the email that you can bring a friend for $25 in September.

  3. Is anyone thinking about doing this? I've never used the Flash Pass system at SFOG since I'm there at least a couple of times a month but the current $250 price point has me seriously considering it. I'm assuming it's the regular flash pass?? If so, it's not worth it, as it really doesn't cut your wait time down. Now if it was gold or Platnium I would say go for it, but the regular, not so much.
  4. Scorcher needs painted, although I like the purple supports, I'm thinking they should go with red or orange ones, since the motto of Scorcher is out your feet to the fire. Goliath and Superman could also use a touch up, although in their cases it's more fading than anything.
  5. While the whole coaster itself is far from ugly, the teal clamshell restrains on one of the trains of Raging Bull is quite the eye sore, especially compared to how nice looking the other two trains are.
  6. I used to think they had the best Gotham City, but ever since they added the Larson Loop and Spinsanity,it's gotten way to crowded and congested for my liking. There's nothing wrong with the attractions themselves, I just liked it when Gotham City had more room is all.
  7. *sigh* What the hell is wrong with people?? I'm also disturbed that he did it in front of his kids, even though I'm not a big animal person per say, I just don't see how someone can hurt them.
  8. I haven't personally rode Fury 325, but if there was a B&M to top the Golden Tickets it seems like it would be the one.
  9. Probably not, and if they keep VR on it, it's going to be a nightmare regardless. It's never been great on capacity, but at least they had halfway decent dispatches without the VR, now it's a complete clusterfuck
  10. Probably Six Flags St.Louis, all 3 are incredibly reridable and The Boss and American Thunder are both severely underrated. Holiday World has the best one two punch with Voyage and Legend, but I think Raven is severely overrated, it's not a bad coaster by any means, but it's just kind of their.
  11. Is this the only gci to have 3 trains??
  12. I love how enthusiasts say "by the GP" to make themselves feel better about themselves. We're on a forum with a bunch of enthusiasts and they're also complaining about the wait times right here in this thread. In my experience enthusiasts complain way more than "the GP". The ride is better open than closed. If the wait times bother you then don't ride it but the people that want to ride it still get to while they work out their problems. Sounds like a great compromise. I'd rather hang with "the GP". The wait times don't bother me.. Superman isn't a bad ride, but outside of the pretzel loop it's not very exciting, not to mention the flying position makes me nauseated the older I get, I'll usually give Superman a ride once or twice a year, but that's about it.
  13. I don't see how anyone can disagree with this statement. Yeah, well, try being stuck on the brakes in the flying position for 15 minutes barely able to breathe. Superman can go die in a fire. Eh... if it's not your thing don't ride (though I know that's not the norm and I agree that the brake runs on flyers suck) it but I applaud them for having it open even in a limited capacity. I still say it's better than being closed. The thing is they're damned by the GP no matter what they do. If they closed it, they'd be complaining, if they keep it open with limited capacity then they complain about the astronomical wait time.
  14. I don't see how anyone can disagree with this statement. It is a very unique ride. I am glad to have ridden it many times! EDIT: Besides the fact that it is a clone Is it a clone though if it's the original one?? It opened before the ones at SFGADV and SFGAM. For example, I don't consider Batman at SFGAM a clone, since it's the original one.
  15. Grizzly was strange for me, I loved the first drop, but after the first drop it kind of fizzles out around that turnaround, and then it picks right back up with the second drop, the turn around between the first and second drop though sort of sets the pacing off, at least it did for me.
  16. I agree about Mystery Mine, while I never thought it was super rough, I noticed my two visits this year, had no head banging.
  17. It's faded pretty bad paint wise as well, and a lot of the que theming like the biographies of all the Superman characters could use a fresh coat of paint as well, I'm assuming they're faded from so much sun exposure.
  18. Yesterday when I was there nothing was running one train. Rebel Yell was running all 4, I never saw a full train on Grizzly or Rebel Yell go out, in fact the most I ever saw on Rebel Yell was maybe half of a full train.
  19. I visited on one of the busiest days of the year but splurged on a platinum pass. With the pass, the line started on the final ramp to the station and that took about 30 mins (which I'm guessing would have ordinarily taken about 5-10 minutes). Because of the problems with the headsets (at least a couple would break per train), dispatches were between 5-8 minutes. From what I was told, the line without any kind of fast pass was around 3 hours. It was incredibly busy on the day I was there, but I would suggest that if you want to ride Shockwave at all, get over to it as fast as you can. Most of the rides were between 1.5 and 2.5 hours when I was there, but Shockwave and Runaway Mountain seemed to be the worst all day long whereas the others would lighten up now and again. Does Shockwave not have an up charge on Platnium since it's VR now?? DDD at SFOG was a $15 up charge for one ride and only available on Platnium, whereas before VR it was Platnium only, but you ride as many times as you wanted.
  20. I'm so glad to see someone else mention The Raven. It's not a bad ride, but out of the 3 woodies at HW it's easily the weakest, and going into HW my first time, it was the one I heard the most praise about.
  21. It has, in fact I've been visiting since 07 and they were only using one side then, I think the dual only lasted a couple of seasons. But, I was always understood that they kept the other train from when they had the dual station as extra, so they could always operate with two trains. In fact, I've probably made close to 50 something visits and I don't ever recall seeing Superman down to one train, in fact it's the only coaster I can think of that I've never seen down to one train.
  22. Similar thing happened to Intimidator yesterday. Empty train with restraints open on the brake run, and an empty train in the station. Dominator was for some reason running three trains yesterday, which they really shouldn't have done. I'm glad I was there for two days, because yesterday was just a mess. The heat on both days never helped, either. Also got my first rides on Delirium. Fun ride, but arm room is extremely tight. If it wasn't for that, I would've ridden it a lot more than I did. I didn't see anything else go down, Dominator opened back up around 530, I'm not sure how long it was down for. I was surprised to see Grizzly running two trains and Rebel Yell running two on each side, I never once saw more than half a full train go out all day.
  23. Dominator is currently down, they have an empty train in the station, and the other one right behind it, it's weird seeing a B&M go down in the middle of the day.
  24. SFOGs Superman has no excuse to be one train, since they were the original one and only one built with a dual loading station, I thought they were the only one to have three trains, so shouldn't they always have two operational??
  25. You figured right. Good call. yep. .don't skip the shows. .they are (for the most part) very good. I was thinking more along the lines of gorging myself on all the food lol, do all the rides one day, then just pig out the next. #fatkidprobs
