  1. I understand some rides like Batman are short, and don't have a simple loading procedure, but I was shocked by Raging Bull stacking all 3 trains, and only a clamshell restraint, not to mention time wise it's closer to the longer than short side, although I do think maybe a lack of lockers is the problem. SFOG is my home park, and on Goliath they have someone out front making sure you put up bags etc, I didn't see one ride like that at SFGA, and they were just throwing they're stuff into whatever bin they could find, even though they had 3 bins, 1 for each specific train, I know people bitch about lockers and stuff, and it really doesn't make sense to only have it on specific rides etc.., but I do know 3 of the rides at SFOG that have lockers [ Goliath, Cyclone, SUF] were all loading and dispatching faster than their Great America counter parts, which makes it even worse for Great America considering Cyclone & Superman are probably the slowest dispatches at SFOG behind GA Scorcher.
  2. I never though Carowinds version was as awful as people made it out to be.. It wasn't a great coaster by any means, but I was expecting a wooden version of SFOG'S Ninja the way people were talking.
  3. Only if you go La Ronde or Six Flags Mexico! This might be a really dumb question, but at La Ronde, do they do all the announcements twice? like in English & French
  4. Not to mention, most B&M hypers are capacity machines.. Also, imo they're some of the prettiest coasters out there, as long as they have a good color scheme.
  5. I have a ? concerning Hurler, I've never ridden the one at Kings Dominion as I've never been, I've ridden the one at Carowinds, and since they're pretty much identical from the looks of it, I figured i'd ask my question here, since this thread is busier. Growing up, Wayne's World was one of my favorite movies, so in the Paramount days, how themed was Hurler, I get that the station is supposed to be a TV Studio, I guess like the one Waynes World is filmed in?? Also, did the one at Kings Dominion, have a Stan [ Totally Blanking On The Last Name] restaurant with the hockey player on top, out front? I'm sure it wasn't a Batman or Disney themed level, but was it at least somewhat themed to it?
  6. Reriding a ride for a whole hour would get old, and I doubt there's many people out there who would want to ride the same ride for an hour, I mean Batman, Superman, Raging Bull, Viper, X-Flight are all great rides, but an hour straight would be redundant for most people, so that argument really holds no water, but if someone wanted to spend $500 to do it, that would be their prerogative, and I would have no issue.
  7. I don't care if people have a nice car or a first class seat, because that doesn't effect me. People with flash pass directly impact my experience at the park. I miss the days when everybody at the park would have the potential for an equal experience, rather than being able to pay more for a better one. I'm usually not a person who would confront anyone (and I never would in person), but when I see a post that strikes as so out-of-touch with the reality of how much money a flash pass is to some people I can't help myself. Keep your flash pass, just don't expect me to be happy for you. Also,'m aware the park makes a lot of money on flashpass, but I think the idea that they charge less for other tickets because of they utterly ridiculous. They charge as much as they can for everything they can (and I'm fine with that, they're a business). I promise you everything in the park is vastly more expensive than before flash pass (and at a higher rate than the rate of inflation). How was my post out of touch?? Some people have money to spend on things such as flash pass, some don't.I don't have tons of extra income laying around, I just so happened to know I was only going to have a day and a half at the park, so I splurged a little since I saved on admission and parking with my season pass from Georgia. If you choose to spend hours in a hot miserable line, that's your choice, you shouldn't "hate" me or other people and let it affect your day. I visited Magic Mountain on a busy Saturday in April of 2007, it was my last full day in Ca, and I didn't know when I would go back, I didn't have the money for a flash pass, so I sucked it up and waited in line and got on everything I wanted at least once including X, and I had a blast, sure flash pass people got more rides in than me that day, but I made the best of what I had.
  8. I do feel for little kids that probably don't understand why people are getting to go in front of them.
  9. I got a Platinum Flash Pass a couple of weeks ago, it was $220 for me and my sister, and we got some of the rudest looks, and people we were bypassing in line saying stuff like " They suck" " That's not fair" etc.. If you choose not to spend the money, and wait in the regular line, how is that not fair to the people who opt to spend extra money?? I never get a Flash Pass at my home park of SFOG, of course I never go when it's busy, but if I do decide to go and have to wait in line because of flash pass users, that's my choice, I'm not going to get mad at people who choose not to wait in line. Also I'm sure the spike in Platinum is just because of Goliath, I had a gold one on the Sunday I went, and then got a Platinum on Monday just because of Goliath, had it not been the only one Goliath was included on I would have just gotten the gold, sure you don't get re-rides, but I got plenty done with the Gold.
  10. If you can afford it Platinum Flash Pass is the best $110 you'll ever spend, You get 2 rides on Goliath, and pretty much walk up to the station on all others. We went on a Monday two weeks ago, there was pretty much hour wait on everything except Goliath [2 Hours] and we got almost 60 rides in all day. The only downside is American Eagle isn't on Flash Pass for some reason, we didn't ride it that day, but we rode it the day before at about 7 & 8 and only waited about 20 minutes both time.
  11. If it's nice weather crowds will be plentiful.Avoid Scorcher & Cyclone in the morning, since they're at the front, they get pretty good sized waits first thing.. Dare Devil Dive is low capacity, but it seems to me to have the best crew, but I would still do it first, Superman will have a wait all day, just because the line usually crawls. It's a really nice park, although Gotham City is a bitch to walk up and down, Also besides Ninja, they have a really solid line up, with Goliath being the stand out.
  12. I've been on 4 different Batmans [ SFMM, SFOG, SFSTL, SFGAM] and the one at SFSTL definitely seemed to have the longest queue.
  13. I don't hate it, but I wasn't very impressed with Afterburn at Carowinds at all. I rode it multiple times over 4 different visits in 2011 and 2012, in every seat and while it wasn't a bad ride, I definitely think all 4 of the Batman inverts I've been on are more fun, forceful and compact.
