  1. Everyone wants it removed because it's an atrocious ride. I haven't been to SFSTL since 2010, so I can't comment on Boomerang, but when I visited I thought that even though they had a smaller collection of coasters they had one of the best American Thunder, Batman, Eagle, Boss and Freeze are above average to great rides mostly, than you have Ninja which is one of the worst coasters around.
  2. It's interesting that Leviathan has netting all under the track that goes over the walk way yet Fury has none. I think it looks a lot better without it. Fury really is an amazing looking coaster. They will probably eventually add nets in but who knows Goliath at SFOG has the net, I've always wondered what it was for, now I feel stupid because it's so obvious haha.
  3. Thankfully, I'm working a shit ton of overtime coming up so ill build my savings back up, and I'm thankful I had enough money to actually get it fixed, it's just car repairs suck in general. Although come July I'll probably be thankful, you know how humid TN is from April-September.
  4. If they do, for the love of God do a double removal and take the one at SFOG with it.
  5. I'm sad, my ac went out on my car, so $901 later I won't be going to the park tomorrow .
  6. I got slight headbanging in the corkscrews, which I've never gotten on the forward version, but it wasn't anything to bad.
  7. I used to think Kennywood was the Kenny Rogers version of DOLLYWOOD, just going by the name.
  8. Haha or when someone totally dosent see the signs and rows of lockers at the entrance and try to argue to why they should take be special enough to take their purse onto the ride.
  9. I believe the first or second weekend in May is the last weekend for it.. It leaves very early May I wanna say it's May 10th May 10th is what I recall as well. Really happy to hear about Mindbender being back to two trains. Despite its glory, knowing how quickly a good crew can churn through people with two train ops makes waiting for one train that much more painful! The crew at Mindbender has usually been the best in the park since the one train operations began. If they keep that up with the two train operations, I will definitely be spending a lot of time riding it over and over! Even before they lost the second train, Mindbender IMO always had the fastest crew, followed closely by DDD. Goliath would probably be third because when they're on their A game they fly, they're just hit and miss, and the rest of the crews range from meh to terrible at times.
  10. Would holiday in the park be profitable though?? Isn't it extremly cold come December/ January??
  11. If they got it back together that fast, Six Flags has a hell of a matinence team.
  12. I stood in line last week with one train stuck on the lift hill and the other stuck halfway into the station, so I can literally guarantee to you that there were two on the track. If I had known physical proof was needed, I would've gotten you a picture of both from that spot. It is not that I don't believe you, I just find it generally hard to believe and just really really odd considering it appeared nothing has changed since they lost the 2nd train last July, and come opening weekend it appeared to be the exact same situation as it has been for some 6 months, then suddenly all is normal and well. I am extremely excited to hear this news though!!! Yeah and all is well in under a week because I was there last weekend and it was still apart.. Now this weekend there are two trains.. I find it odd as well They might have purchased a train from another park and the second train that went down last year is now a part train If that's the case MOVE it.. Haha it looks like a junk yard with the train guts just laying there lol I know it's trashy just thrown around by the lift, especially considering Mindbender is one of the prettier coasters out there.

  14. I went in 2011 and 2012 and during the week when they had 5 minute waits for everything but Nighthawk, and they were assising seats on Intimitador all four days.
  15. I agree. I am pretty certain the one we saw in pieces (exactly where it has been since last season) is one of just 2 trains that exist at this point. I would love to hear that the ride has two train operation but it seems hard to believe. Can anyone else help to confirm if it is back to 2 train operations? I'll be able to let you know Sunday!!
  16. Mindbender was running two trains yesterday. Batman was also quite a nightmare at all times of the day, but that might've had to do with the cheer and band competition happening in the arena next door. Thank the lord they got the second train back on Mindbender, I was so worried seeing it still in shambles opening weekend, I thought it was never going to get back to two trains.
  17. Everyone hits Batman first, but it's up to two trains, so it's not the nightmare it was it's first wekeend . So I'd recommend Dare Devil Dive, it's low capacity, and it's one of those coasters that everyone likes, but you never really hear any raves about, but for my money its the third best ride in the park behind Goliath and Batman. The only other capacity issue you might run into is Mindbender, it's been down to one train since mid summer last year, although it usually has the fastest crew in the park which helps ease the pain of one train as usual. Also, make sure you don't miss Monster Mansion it's one of the best dark rides out there.
  18. I was there a few years ago on easter and the park was dead.. All rides where walkons all day.. For those who have been to six flags on Sundays and know how its dead until 1 or 2 imagine that low crowd all day.. That's easter! Lol I try to go Easter every year, I love the no crowds, I'm just hoping the forecast stays nice *fingers crossed*.
  19. I feel you on traffic.. Everytime I think Nashville traffic is horrible, I just remind myself of all my trips to Atlanta. When did Nashville get traffic? I moved from LA to Gallatin, in 07 and have never experienced anything remotely resembling traffic. I live 27.5 miles from downtown and have never spent more than an hour getting from home to work, or vise versa. My usual commute is right at the half hour mark. I've often made it from the new Convention Center to my house in under 25 minutes in the early mornings and late nights. The only stand still traffic I have ever experienced was when Briley was flooded and they were turning cars back around on the Pkwy. In LA I would easily allow 2+ hours to go the same distance, and sometimes still been late. In fact, there have been a few times when I was working in Anaheim and trying to get home to Van Nuys and been stuck on the 5 for over 4 hours. I always laugh when people complain about traffic here. They truly don't know how good they have it. 24 is horrible during Rush hour, of course that's usually the only time I'm on the interstate is Rush Hour.. What I'm saying is Atlanta seems to have traffic constantly, where as Nashville has it during Rush Hour and construction mostly. See, I have to laugh. Even at rush hour, right there off of Trinity, the cars move. It maybe only 5-10mph, but it moves, and it's only for a mile or two. To me, traffic is 4pm, 108 outside, you're stuck on the 405 between Mulholland and Ventura, you haven't moved an inch in 45 minutes, people are getting out of their cars to smoke, and there's a naked woman (who really shouldn't be naked) jogging toward you with two cops on foot trying to apprehend her. That's what I call traffic. What we have here is a little motor vehicle congestion. I account for that when I drive in during rush hour, and usually arrive 15-20 minutes early. Even the "traffic" in Atlanta moves. I prep packages down there about once every 2 months and still haven't found it to be that bad in comparison. The only place I have found traffic to be as bad as LA is getting in and out of Manhattan. You can get stuck on a bridge, or in a tunnel for what seems like hours. And sitting in a tunnel for that long gets very scary to me. I'm not claustrophobic, but it is nerve racking. The smell doesn't help either. So forgive me as I chuckle to myself about the traffic here in Nashville. I find the drive quite pleasant. Haha I'm a very impatient driver, so moving 5-10mph on the interstate is hell for me, although I know it could be a lot worse, I've been to California, it was hell traffic, luckily I was the passenger and not the driver so it didn't bother me as much.. I'd probably commit road rage if I lived anywhere near NYC.

  21. It's at my home park right now, I've never had a problem with forward Batman, but the backwards one is so disorienting I almost lost my lunch, if the forward one makes you queasy, I'm sure the backwards one will as well, but it might not.
  22. Good news for people who plan on hitting the park Easter Sunday ( low crowded day), the weather as of right now is 66 and sunny, of course being 7 days away it might and probably will change, but as of right now it looks like perfect weather.
  23. Exactly how many hours would you say that line is?? Twitter reports are saying they waited right around 2 hours. That dosent sound so bad for an opening of a new coaster, hell some coasters have 2 hours wait all the time at certain parks.

  25. As much as I'm loving the blue and green track, I think visually my favorite thing about this is going to be the trains, those are just plain beautiful.
