According to mapquest, Hershey is 1 hour, 22 minutes from Allentown PA. So, if you take my estimate, and your estimate, add them together, and divide by 2, we get pretty much the theoretical driving time. Rob

Thats pretty cool. I cant wait to ride this bad boy. Wait, are roller coasters guys or girls? You know how people refer to cars or airplanes as female, but are roller coasters male or female. To me, they are neither. They are home to me... Rob

I would suggest flying into Boston. That way you can hit up SFNE (Its about 1.5 hours outside boston), and Lake compounce (Home to Superman Ride of steel (the better one) and Boulder Dash respectively). This might work better than flying into NYC and going straight to Great Adventure. Also, this might be a better route if you choose to skip Darien Lake. Also, Lake Compounce is a small park, so you could spend half a day there and use the rest of the day to travel. Plus i believe they have free soda with park admission (or they did last year). Great adventure is about 3-4 hours drive from lake compounce, probably closer to 3, and Lake Compounce is about 1 hour away from SFNE. Also, if you are going to hit up hershey, you might want to think about going to dorney park on the way. It migh help to pick up a seasons pass from dorney, because as far as i know, you can use it at Cedar point and Guaga Lake. But i could be wrong there. Dorney is about 1 hour from Great adventure, and hershey is about 1 hour from dorney, all pretty much on the way if you are traveling west. Im 22, and actually quite surprised at how much the little ones out number us... I figured there would be a lot more people in the 18-25 range than the 11-16 range. Oh well. My first coaster was Thunderbolt at Riverside, which is now SFNE. But the coaster that got me hooked was the Mind Eraser, and SLC at SFNE. I know, gasp! It was actually quite smooth to what i remember. But ever since that coaster, I rode anything. Rob

No of all the things said in this topic, i think that that was by far the most morbid... However, to comment on what real said, some people just cant let go of their loved ones. There is nothing wrong with them, but they probably had hope that someday she would just wake up and be alright. So, with that said, they probably couldnt handle the grief if they let her die when she had the chance to just wake up. Its an attachment thing... Can't blame them. I think its sad that it turned into this huge fight between the people that loved her. Oh well, its life, shit happens and then you die. Rob

Well, take the proof and divide by 2. That gives you the alcohol percentage. So 100 proof is really 50% alcohol by volume. And 151 is 75.5 percent alchohol by volume.
