Roller coasters don't scare me even slightly, but I gotta be honest, something like Bonzai Pipelines gives me a mini heart attack. I will still ride it, but the moments leading up to it causes me to kinda freak out. And by the time i'm standing in the tube, my legs are insanely shaking and i'm heavy breathing. I'm no chicken for anything so I will not back put of anything no matter what. The only other ride type that frightens me are water slides that go straight down and you're free falling.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Going out on a limb here, but he says "next BIG coaster at Cedar Point" at the end of the article. So can't we assume that the next coaster, whatever it may be, will not be a family coaster but rather a major thrill ride? -
Who will break 500 feet?
CPSFMMCW replied to coasterlover420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe they could put a polar coaster in the Challenge Park area near Hotel Breakers? It could be a resort nightlife destination with restaurants and a nightclub or two, to go along with the observation tower and roller coaster. That could work as long as they didn't make the polar coaster cost extra. And the coaster would have to be a part of Cedar Point, so in order to do that they'd first have to combine challenge park into Cedar Point. -

Do you think Cedar Point could install a polar coaster? The park is short in space, and they could easily take back their record by holding the tallest in the world. It would be a pretty good fit for the park. And it would allow an observation tower to be there as well, which would be good since we saw Space Spiral removed! -

Are there any coasters over even 200 ft. with inversions, other than dive machines? There doesn't seem to be a record entry for tallest inverting coaster. X2 also goes upside down. -
Coolest station you've seen

I would pay for dinosaurs alive here just for the views and shots I could get of Millennium Force! -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Heres what I think. Expand challenge park and make it form part of Cedar Point main park. Get rid of the golf course, and you pretty much have just pay per attractions. You could group it together and use it for expansion of the actual park and stuff like that. Because I do like the cool thrilling attractions that they offer, so I don't think that they should get rid of it as a whole. You have to remember that Cedar Point lacks space, so you could work it so that its just another area of the park and add more non pay per attractions back there as well. Although I guess the only thing that would be bad about that is that you can't keep challenge park open longer after cedar point closed. It would close with the park. And I like the City walk Idea! Dunno where they'd put it though...maybe near camper village? -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

those trains are looking great! I think that the GP of people will like the trains a lot more, since there will be no head banging. I hope we see B&M inverts get new trains like this (hint hint cedar fair you should do this) as they look good and make it easier to see if you're not in the front -
B&M Wing Rider Coasters - Love or Hate?
CPSFMMCW replied to jfruge's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm fine with wing coasters. I don't think they're anything special, but I like that the majority have near miss elements. Thats what I really like about them. Its what makes me like them more. And I don't dislike them, but I do dislike that the restraints tighten. As long as they don't, then it makes it a better ride. -
Six Flags Mexico (SFM) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to zburns999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks great! Making Medusa an Iron Horse was a really smart move by Six Flags. Look at all the people that want to visit now JUST because of this coaster! Makes the park look a lot more desirable. Well played Six Flags, well played. -
Six Flags Themed Areas: Does anyone care?
CPSFMMCW replied to texcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If the area is well themed, then its kinda cool, but in my opinion its better to have no theme than a slight theme. Like you can get away with something like Congo at Kings Dominion. Kinda works. But then you have the Old Virginia section, that tries to have a theme but doesn't really work. Basically no theme. But when speaking of Six Flags, I think its good to have a 'Gotham City' themed area, but it doesn't have to be alaboratly themed to Gotham in order to work. At Six Flags America, there is basically no theming in Gotham, but its ok. Its just a name so that they can have DC themed rides there. Its fine. Most people don't care. Now hopefully their Marti Gras area will be actually themed, and people will look around and say "oh, cool! Nice detail." Hopefully. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I remember the restraints tightening on wild eagle, and it really added to the discomfort. If the restraints tighten, then the trains might not be a big hit with the GP. They might wish for the old ones back. Hopefully though, they will do the opposite and beg that every B&M invert has these trains. -
Guess this coaster (by the sound)
CPSFMMCW replied to rcjp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've ridden that coaster dozens of times and can recognize that sound in my sleep! Its funny, this is similar to what CoasterRadio (Podcast) does. They call it sound wave, and the only difference is that its a contest and they don't play the full audio clip. But regardless, its a fun topic! -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
How crowded can CP get during spring break? Obviously the park is like always crowded during the summer, but compare spring break to the summer. Is it on average more or less crowded? And am I correct in saying that the best days to go to The Point (with less crowds) would be weekdays days in May, when people are in school? -

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Because KD is my home park I've never been to their campgrounds. We pass them whenever we go to the park but we've never had a need to stay there since we're only 45 min away. See from my perspective, its great that they're doing that, since it benefits tourists, but for people that have the park locally, it doesn't effect us at all, so the way I see it, I would've personally preferred that they put more of their money into the actual park, instead of their campgrounds. -
