  1. Intamin Innovates. GCI for successful, and heres why I chose them over RMC. RMC I believe is the more superior wooden coaster manufacturer, however it is still an early manufacturer and while it is successful, I think we need a few more products of the company to call it more successful than GCI, which not only has a lot of coasters out there, but they are also awesome. In time though, this could change. Depends on how many more parks decide to install RMC's.
  2. In a way, you could be right on that it could be the next park that could go. I certainly hope not though. I really like their water park and they do have some cool coasters. But Six Flags could easily send those coasters to other parks. But why would they continue to send more attractions to the park if they were gonna get rid of it? If the park is to go, it won't be for a LOOONG time.
  3. Well, what do ya know? Well then I guess this is just more opportunity for people to get closer to magnum then!
  4. Too bad it won't be a coaster. I was hoping for a B&M for them.
  5. I love how close it is to the end of magnum. It's gonna be good for photo opportunities for the part of the ride that he average guest won't be able to see or photograph
  6. Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of people who can attend the birthday bash? Cuz if there is, then I should buy ticket to it now. Otherwise I was gonna wait.
  7. Sure, it may not be a big name park, but honestly, can anyone here see this at Universal? Disney? NOPE. Seaworld? Eh. Doubtful. Busch Gardens? Who knows, they could surprise us. But I think this could be a fun spot project. But who knows, I could be wrong.
  8. Lookin good. Interesting that the track is that color. Gives it the look of an ibox track. I personally would've just preferred the normal brown track, but hey, its something different! And different can be good! Maybe it'll grow on me.
  9. I've been to SFA twice, and the first time I went, Superman had about an hour wait with only one train running. That made me mad. There should be no excuse when there is another train just sitting there doing nothing. However the second time I went, everything was pretty much a walk on, with the longest wait being about 10 min. There was 1 train on everything that entire day. That I am fine with. It was the 1st day that was unacceptable. I wonder how many trains they will run Ragin Cajun with. Surely not just 1! Right? Its a wild mouse, it should be at least 3.
  10. The article said itd be at a big name park, and probably not as stand alone attraction. So I'm willing to bet it'll be at one of these places: Fun Spot Busch Gardens Tampa Seaworld Universal? Disney-nah prob not My best guess is fun spot. Seems like the type of place where it'd be.
  11. In my opinion, if a park has coasters, its worth visiting. Some are better than others, and honestly, I like both Great Adventure and Six Flags America. Great Adventure is by far my favorite park, and I really did enjoy my visit to SFA. So if you are curious on whether you should go or not, a definately say go for it! You'll have a fun time! The park is good, and I really liked their water park!
  12. Superman makes me top 10. And I actually really like the entrance! It looks like a capital building, and is a lot better of an entrance than the other parks nearby like KD, BGW, and SFGAdv, all of whom don't have rememberal entrances. And I don't know if this was addressed before, but the employees are actually really super nice, contrary to what a lot of people think. I think what happened was that they heard complaints about mean employees, and so they fixed the problem. Everyone was really nice.
  13. I don't know why everyone hates on this park. I enjoyed it. It's never crowded, and their water park is pretty good. The coasters are fun, except for mind eraser. I honestly think it's worth visiting and if you're near the area you should definitely stop by!
  14. ^ not to mention that the park doesn't really have any stand out roller coasters. The steels would probably be relocated to other Six Flags parks, and the woodies would probably remain at the park. Often times when a park closes, the woodies will not be relocated. They do have a good water park though, as well as the indoor part along with their lodge. It wouldn't surprise me if something like Geauga Lake happened to it, in which the water park would stay. Of course, that was Cedar Fair's doing, not Six Flags's...
  15. I'm assuming that they'll replace the animation with a real photo that looks like that, and won't just keep it an animation?
  16. Now, I hate it as much as the next guy when a park is shut down and abandoned, and no longer operates. Some parks we've recently seen shut down were Camelot, Six Flags New Orleans, Six Flags AstroWorld, and of course, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, which is probably the one that most of us think of. This park was left by Six Flags, and had to be shut down. We saw Chang be sent to Great Adventure, and after that, the park remained dormant. Of course, now the park is luckily being revived, so it will once again open up. But for todays topic question, which do you think would be the next park that has to shut down? Often these will be smaller parks, however we've had some fair sized parks leave in the past, such as Geauga Lake. The coasters often are sent to other parks, however sometimes we'll see them hang around the park. So anyway, feel free to state parks just about anywhere that you think would sadly have to leave. Ones that come to mind for me are parks on the beach or close to water, in which hurricanes will sometimes take them out. Its very sad, and I hate it when parks leave, but the fact of the matter is that it happens, so why not do a little predicting of which could be the ones to leave?
  17. ^ I disagree, I would love to go and tell people that that's practically all I did! That's my kind of vacation! My rankings on how I would visit: 1. Six Flags Magic Mountain 2. Knotts Berry Farm 3. Universal Studios Hollywood 4. California Adventure 5. Disneyland
  18. Why do they keep on holding it on a sunday!? I can never go in a Sunday but if they would hold it on ANY OTHER DAY then I can attend! But they chose the one day of the week that I can NEVER be there for! I'm writing a letter to complain this is ridiculus can they quit holding it on Sunday! They did it last year, and now this year, and it's making me mad because its sounds like an amazing event and I really want to attend and also help raise money but what problem do they have holding it the next day or the day before? Cuz i'll be able to attend it on those days!!!
  19. Oh yes, I remember that interview. Yeah, when I heard that, I mainly was thinking about the fact that Six Flags would be doing most of their projects, but if Cedar Fair has decided to go with RMC, then I'm all for it!
  20. ^ I hope not. No idea. One has never been built before. Although 2 are suppose to be open for 2014, but something tells me thats not gonna happen...

  22. That would compliment the skyline PERFECTLY
  23. Which position does he hold? And if parks are getting RMC's, then heres who should get em: -Dorney Park -Kings Dominion -Cedar Point -Kings Island They should get them in that order. Will that happen? Probably not.
  24. I'm expecting something to happen to Mean Streak in the coming years. Whether its torn down or converted or upgraded or whatever, something is gonna happen. CP NEEDS a GOOD Woodie. A GCI would be perfect. ANd if it goes upside down, then that would be awesome! And knowing CP, they always break some sort of record... It was discussed in the KI Thread about the next coaster going out over Lake Erie. Assuming its a steal, I say B&M Flyer. That would be a phenomenal fit for the park, and would be amazing. Heres why a Polar Coaster would also be amazing. It would include an observation tower, which the park JUST removed, so now they don't have one. Now they'll have one. And of course its compact. They need at least one of these 3! If not all! And I don't know how that rumored dark ride plays into this...
