  1. If they did that, that would be sweet. And while we're at it, throw in a new color scheme and name and it would really make it Great! I bet the ride would become a lot more popular as a Floorless. And i'm all for sending power tower to Michigan's Adventure and putting a 400 footer at CP. they need a rememberable drop tower!
  2. So just to recap, it chances are won't break a record for the worlds...blah blah blah you get the Point. But it will be a game changer! I wonder what it could be?!
  3. I don't think a terrain coaster has that holy crap factor unless it has a stand out factor about it. Robb said he saw it and said o my gosh. Did anyone freak out like that with prowler or boulder dash? Sure, they're Great rides, but they didn't necessarily change the industry forever. If its to be a wooden terrain, then it needs to have that factor to it that makes it a must ride.
  4. Something to keep in mind. I don't get excited over "gimmicks", I get excited over solid, awesome projects that have more than just "potential" to be a "World's Best." Mmmmm even better! I like it! I REALLY wanna know what this is. But this makes me glad that its not gonna be a one trick pony.
  5. the fact that its making it a MUST VISIT is huge. I think we're looking at this all wrong. In the past, what have been some of the coasters that have opened that when you saw that it was open, it instantly became a MUST VISIT. Sometimes to figure out the future, you have to look to the past. What are some of the coasters that were HUGE when they came out? Here's a few I thought of. Feel free to chime in. -X2(1st 4th dimension) -Magnum XL-200 (first over 200 ft) -Millennium Force (first over 300 feet) -Top Thrill Dragster (first over 400 feet) -Outlaw Run (first inverting woodie) And even with these big ones that stand out so much, would you say that they were all a MUST RIDE? And if so, what is it about them that made them that way:? Innovation, Record braking, Newness, Originality, or just the WOW factor? Or all 3? If that is the case, then we're looking at a Record Braking, and Innovative ride that has a wow factor and has never been done before. Many of these coasters set standards in the industry. They changed it forever. If this is what we are seeing, and Wildfire will be grouped with it, then we certaintly are looking at something insane! Many of these have certain qualities to them that make them so cool. Airtime. Height. Forces. Speed. Smoothness. Scare/Thrill factor. And thats just to name a few. Now obviously not all of these coasters has characteristics, but some of those that are must rides have most of them. So this is what we could be looking at. A smooth ride. With airtime. A scare/Holy Crap factor. And something that makes it stand out, whether it be height, or some sort of signature maneuver it does. In my opinion, those are what the factors are that it would have. I hope it does have all or most of those. But thats just my 2 cents. Feel free to pipe in with your opinion on this.
  6. those are some really cool photos. I never knew that KD had those in the past.
  7. I meant that most people wouldn't have heard of the park. Up until about twelve hours ago, how many of you had heard of Kolmarden? mmmmm ok I gotcha. That makes sense. In that case, SCRATCH ALL THAT I JUST SAID
  8. woo hoo they're working on that massive overbank! yay!
  9. Robb phrased on the facebook page that most people haven't have heard of it. So it probably won't be a new concept. My bet is that it will be a concept that never got built and its been improved upon and awesome-afied. So maybe we should turn to concept attractions that haven't been rides yet!
  10. Anything with a stand up factor is a no simply cuz stand ups aren't worth it and aren't as good as rides as non stand ups. In all seriousness, I think it probably will be a woodie with a crazy factor to it.
  11. Guys. It's simple. They're connecting the moon to earth with a massive roller coaster! Lift hill to the moon, and then it drops you off at 100000 miles per hour!!!
  12. ok. Lets stop talking about 2015 then. Anyone got anything to talk about then? I got nothin.
  13. I actually like Hurler as well. I'd personally rather see Grizzly leave. But it won't. I'd rather see neither of them leave, really. And as for the water park comment, I agree. Heres what they need to do: Coaster 2015 Water Park Expansion 2016 (bonzai pipelines style, bowl/wave slide) New Flat ride 2017 (Preferably a MaXair or Screamin' Swing)
  14. If there is already a coaster at SDC named Wildfire, then I doubt it will be a new attraction called wildfire. I'd imagine an upgrade to the ride or something cool that will be done with it. And whatever it is, it won't surprise me if that is the new logo that the park uses for the ride.
  15. Is there or did there used to be a roller coaster tycoon for mobile? Or is this the first one? Cuz if theres another previous version out there, I'm gonna get that version instead!
  16. I don't see why they would do matinance on it if it were to close and be removed by the end of the season. So what other coaster could be on the chopping block? Shockwave is too small. I doubt grizzly. Anaconda was just repainted. What could it be then?! With any luck, they'll just add a new coaster without removing one.
  17. Mmmm yeah didn't see that. Whoops! Probably should've read the post above mine....
  18. The i305 restraints are amazing. Best restraints on many coaster ever. Every coaster should have those restraints!
  19. Has intamon ever done a launched drop tower before? But I do like the idea! That would add some diversity between the two attractions.
  20. Great Adventure is great. I'm not a fan of the whole ads thing everywhere, but thats just Six Flags being Six Flags. I absolutly love SFGAdv, my favorite park I've ever been to.
  21. Wow I love how it rrrrooooaaaaarrrrrsssss
  22. ^ CGI? you do realize that that is "computer generated image," or graphics in a movie!? Haha I know you meant GCI but I just thought that was funny so I pointed it out...
  23. Great Adventure's last major coaster investment was in 2006. That's 9 years ago. It's time, we know it, and Six Flags knows it most likely. Six Flags needs to realize that SFMM can wait for 20 for a few years. Cedar Point doesn't feel the need to "compete" with them anymore, so why get to 20 as quickly as they are if there is no true rush? If Magic Mountain gets a major coaster in 2015 or 2016 (over $15 million) before Great Adventure does, I for one will not be happy with Six Flags Inc. Cedar Fair understands that your flagship park doesn't need to have a new coaster every year to be successful. Cedar Point is the best amusement park I've ever been to, and took 5 years off to invest in the other parks in the chain, and are doing so in 2014 with Kings Island and 2015 with Carowinds/Kings Dominion (possibly). Great way to sum it up! I completely agree with you. SFGAdv deserves something new before Magic Mountain. I feel like they are being sloppy with MM, and just throwing them in there to throw them in there. GAdv definitely has the quality on there side(with the exception of a few). One of the few things that I'm not huge with about Cedar Fair is that they don't seem to put in as many attractions at their parks then at Six Flags. But at least CF understands that in order to make a well rounded park, you need something other than coasters. Which SFMM doesn't seem to understand.
  24. hahahahahahahahaha thats a grrrrreeeeaaaatttt photo
