  1. ^ I agree with you on the GCI for this park. I can't even remember the last GCI Six Flags installed...boy its been a while.
  2. you could be right. I'm just stating the facts. And the facts are that they were there. It could be for El Toro purposes, or maybe it is for a new coaster. Who knows.
  3. yeah, seems weird that they were in that area. The chiller would be the best place for one. I also find it a bit strange that they're there that early in the season. If RMC guys were gonna walk around, then I would've expected them to go around later in the season. But in a way it makes sense, since I bet it takes a lot of time to plan this kinda thing.
  4. Ok guys. At the park, a truck with RMC's logo on it was spotted. A bunch of guys wearing RMC jackets were walking around in the rolling thunder area. Sounds like six flags is looking to put in a hybrid or an inverting woodie here! which I find interesting. Another woodie is a necessary fit for the park, but I thought they would go a more traditional woodie and not a high intensity wooden coaster. But in a way, from the beginning I was expecting an RMC at the park. But I was sure that it would go in the old batman and robin the chiller station. But who knows, maybe it will be. I just thought it was weird that Six Flags would put another woodie in plaza del carnival. I was so sure that if anything, they would use the rolling thunder space to expand. Not use it for a woodie. But there is plenty of space for a wooden coaster there. Attached below is a google earth photo showing the size of rolling thunder. Thoughts?
  5. ^ Yeah, you're probably right. But it would make a lot of sense to do! Not to mention it'd make everyones lives easier.
  6. I'm the type of person who likes the gradual transitions, I think I would like it. How are the lines? If you've already made that many laps on it, how is it per wait? Anyone who was at media day today can answer that.
  7. I too love i305. Its a phenomenal experience. My current #1, with #2 being El Toro and #3 being Apollo's.
  8. So for those that have ridden it, would you say it is your favorite invert? I have already heard some say that they like it more than Montu, which is arguably the best invert, but is love to hear from a mass group of people whether they think its the best or just one of the best.
  9. interesting that dive coaster beat out griffon and sheikra. Kinda weird and unusual. Especially since griffon is a lot more famous and is butter smooth.
  10. They talk about the color scheme being black red and yellow. Interesting. I'm still pro RMC inverting woodie. That solves the noise thing. But I was under the impression that the new ride was gonna be a starflyer flat ride, but this sounds cool. I'd like it. But it is kinda weird that the park would put in a clone. But overall I'm just happy that they're getting a new coaster! 2015 is gonna be a good year for Virginia! A new coaster at both KD and BGW! Really lookin forward to this!
  11. ^ I think that a lot of those are great places to stop, but it seems that since he doesn't have a whole lot of time to visit and go to parks, so a lot of those smaller places aren't "must visits." If you have the time, then great. I'd also like to throw in Hersheypark, if you have the time or are in the area. They have a fantastic line up. If you're hitting up SFGAdv, then it isn't a whole lot farther away from that. You could easily do both of those parks in 2 days. That'd be a better use of your time then hitting disneyland and disney world. And honestly, about the comment above about visiting Disneyland and World, I'd say just hit one of them. If you're a big disney fan, then thats a different case and you'll want to hit both of them. But I have been to both and they are close enough alike that you won't be suffering if you miss out on one of them. I'd use my time wisely with this trip you're making, so going to disney would would probably be a better use of time as opposed to visiting land and world. However the comments above about Knott's and Buffalo Bills make total sense, since you'll be in the area. I think it would be smart to hit up both of those places. Knotts isn't a whole lot farther away from SFMM, that you could do both in 2 days while in LA.
  12. ^ yeah, thats what I was referring to. Good job to shabhala, accurate rating. But still, interesting that they're well ranked in the Golden Ticket Awards, but they're not as high in this.
  13. LA: SFMM Vegas: just the random coasters along the strip, but the coasters aren't the best part of vegas. the strip it self it phemomenal. But if you're a daredevil, can't miss out on the stratosphere. Miami: stop by orlando no doubt. Universal is a fantastic experience. If you have time, Tampa is cool too, and busch gardens is there, which is a very good park. NY/NJ: Stop by six flags great adventure! you can't miss it! its a fantastic park that shouldn't be missed! Disneyland or world? Disney World. US hollywood or US florida? Florida. Seaworld san diego or orlando? orlando. Of cedar point, SDC, dollywood, and KD, I would hit CP by far. My personal top 5 fav parks in the US: -Cedar Point -SF Magic Mountain -SF Great Adventure -SF Great America -Kings Island What I recommend doing is picking up a six flags pass and/or a cedar fair platinum pass so that you can hit up a lot of these parks. You'll save a lot of money. If you're going to disney, then the 4 park to park pass is the best value, but thats a big time commitment. The 2 universal parks aren't to be missed if you are in orlando, and I'd personally choose Universal over Disney, but thats just me. It also depends on what you're interested in. Depending on what part of canada you're in, Canada's Wonderland has lots of coasters. You strike me more as a coaster guy, so I tried to give you the best places where you'll get to ride some pretty incredible coasters. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helped.
  14. I find it interesting that i305 was voted as the best giga coaster. The thing that separates it apart from the others is the intensity of those insane twisties. Stays low to the ground, and you black out. Not a very much airtime either. A little floater, and a little ejector. Maybe Six Flags should take a hint and start installing giga's! The 3 in the US made the top 15. That means good news for carowinds fans! Also, where the heck are all those B&M hypers?! Apollo's? Diamondback? Intimidator? They always make it into the top 15! Now the best is nitro at 24. But still, thats crazy. 3 Mega-lites in the top 20! wow! Pay attention US parks! I'm talking to you! Go do some good and go over to intamin and install a bunch here in the united states!
  15. I dunno, I guess if there is a battle to be fought here it's to show Atari enough people want a game more like what the original series was, and if the reaction that Atari gets is "Well, it's not like the original, but it's still 'OK'", then you'll never see anything again like the original series. And who are we kidding? We probably won't anyway, but that still doesn't mean I would be "acceptable" with what they have produced. I definitely agree that I wish we had seen the PC version come to mobile. I would've preferred that. Its just that I don't mind the version we got. But I will agree on the fact that it pretty much ISN'T RCT.
  16. I too got the game. And honestly, I enjoy it. It's entertaining, and really, isn't that what it's meant to do? I really don't care that it has the RCT name slapped on it. It's just a cute little game where u can design your own park. It's not realistic, but it's fun and CAN become addicting. So I'm fine with it. I just think some of us here need to calm down with this whole thing. Yes, it would have been better if he made a more realistic and accurate mobile version, but who knows? Maybe he will in the future, maybe he won't. Oh well.
  17. kingda ka, superman, and el toro are heaven at night. Especially el toro. 3x better at night. 5x better if you're also in the front row.
  18. So if the park is putting in a GIGA and a DIVE, which are two styles of coasters that the company has never done before, does this mean we could be seeing giga's and dive's at other six flags parks?
  19. Cool comparison. They're similar but different. I like it. It looks cool.
  20. Griffon at BGW is the only coaster in the park with a single rider line. KD has no single rider lines. SFA doesn't have any. At SFGAdv, Superman does, but it sometimes isn't open.
  21. RMC Woodie Flying Scooters S&S Screamin Swing Star Flyer Windseeker Kiddie Coaster Dippin Dots Stand Yup. Anything.
