  1. Well they just got off road Adventure! I'd say that counts! Sure has been really popular.
  2. I honestly like the hurler and would've rather seen anaconda removed. In my opinion, it is by far a wors-er ride. But obviously they aren't gonna remove it now.
  3. Thunderhead at Dollywood was closed because it had ice in it. and I also missed out on the kiddie cred sideshow spin.
  4. At this point in time, I can't really see SFGAdv building a relocated coaster. Unless its a boomerang. That could happen, but it just doesn't seem to fit. The 3 biggest possibilities for GAdv is a wing, a 4D, or a woodie.
  5. Really the only thing at virginia beach is the beach and hotels. Its a big tourist destination. It will provide good views of the beach, but unusual place to put one.
  6. Have you been to Busch Gardens? You don't need to spend more than one day there! Its never crowded! I'd rank KD and BGW in the same category. SFA would be in the category below.
  7. I have been to Coney Island, and have to say I enjoyed it. The trouble is that NYC traffic makes the trip there longer than it needs to be. You don't need to spend that much time at the park, as it almost always isn't crowded. The coasters are fun, but obviously the Cyclone is the highlight attraction. Great woodie. The park also has a good selection of flat rides. Its a fun trip, so it just depends on how much time you want to spend. The trip there, back, and time at the park should take about 6 hours, maybe less. Its doable, but I too would recommend Morey's Piers. But if you have to choose one of the two parks, I would choose Luna Park, Coney Island. Plus, they're getting the thunderbolt next year!
  8. So you are saying that SFGAm needs to go forward in time and take pictures of an operating Goliath so they can have 100% accurate pictures for their preseason promotions? Using a very similar in appearance coaster like NTAG is perfectly acceptable to use in a promotion for Goliath. You think that might be asking too much?!
  9. well I wouldn't go that far... look in the background of that New Texas Giant
  10. Bizarro is one of my fav coasters, easily making the top 15. While you do have a good idea, I'd rather see another type of ride leave. But honestly, I don't think Great Adventure NEEDS to remove any rides. They have lots of available space, namely the old Batman and Robin the Chiller Station. The left side of Great Adventure is lacking on that side of the park when it comes to highlight attractions. Yes, They have Batman and Nitro there, but the other side has so much more. Putting the coaster there makes so much sense. If you don't put it there, then the space where rolling thunder used to be. I'd personally rather have them use that area to expand, but once its expanded enough, then they could prob fit another coaster back there. Now if you want a coaster to go to SFA, then it probably won't be happening for a bit. In my opinion, whats next for SFA is a skyscreamer and then an aqua twist style attraction.
  11. 2015- Dark Ride 2016- Coaster of some sort I feel like we just had this conversation a few pages back...
  12. Yes, I agree that SFA does have some attractions that are desirable. It has the only GCI nearby. The next closest is at Hershey, which isnt that close actually. It has the only intamin hypercoaster nearby. It has the only flying coaster nearby. The only Vekoma SLC nearby. And another B&M stand up. The only spinning coaster nearby. As someone who lives in this area, it is desirable and heres why. Yes, none of the ttractions are anything special. But the coaster line up works with the line up in the surrounding area. Yes, KD and BGW have better coasters OVERALL. However, the attractions that they do have offer rides that you can't get anywhere else around. And speaking for someone that lives in the area and doesn't get to travel to as many parks as I'd like to, the line up is good! It works! Ok! So please just stop criticising the park for its line up. So what if most of the coasters are clones!? Who cares!? It works in the area!
  13. ^ How bout a Skyscreamer? KD needs a B&M or a GCI. Though if Cedar Fair decided to test out RMC on KD, I wouldn't complain! If its a B&M, then Hyper or Wing. They should also bring back their Skyride in 2015! That'd be great! BGW needs a woodie or a B&M Flyer. If its a woodie, then GCI or an RMC. But I heard that they will prob be getting a tall flat ride. Like a SkyScreamer or an Observation tower. I'd personally rather have an S&S Screamin Swing over either of those, but most of all, I just want a woodie. SFA should get a skyscreamer. If its not that, then it'll probably be a Tsunami Soaker/Aqua Twist, but I WANT a Skyscreamer.
  14. ^ I wouldn't go as far as a 400 ft skyscreamer, however I do think that a skyscreamer will come to the park in 2015. the park had its height limit extended (I believe) and so they can build over 205 feet. Or they could just keep it at 205, as the same height as Superman. I think we'll instead see the 400 ft skyscreamer as Magic Mountain, and heres why. That will mean there will be a 400 footer at 3 points in the US. One on east coast, one in the Middle, and one on the west coast.I vote for the title "Las Angeles Skyscreamer." Just has a better ring to it than the California SkyScreamer.
  15. I think they'll instead use the old batman the chiller station for the new coaster so that way they can continue to expand plaza del carnival and the golden kingdom
  16. I don't think they need to remove any attraction if they needed to expand. Simply expand beyond mind eraser. But if they have to remove on for some weird reason, then get rid of the SLC!
  17. I'll second that statement. But if you look at the roof in the background, you can see that it is the black color that it is suppose to be when it is finished. So at least part of the roof is pretty much done!
  18. ^ Couldn't agree more! I've been thinking that even though what they need is a B&M or a GCI, I had this in my mind. What if KD decided to "Bring Back" a coaster from the past. And by bring back, I mean remake a replica of the ride or a ride very similar to it. The reason this idea was in my mind was because they talk about how the park will be celebrating the 40th "Starting 2014." So could we be seeing a ride from the past brought back? A king Kobra or Hypersonic look alike? I honestly hope not. I'd rather see something new. However, if they want to keep the 40th theme, I wouldn't have a problem if they brought back the skyride also along with the new coaster!
  19. Looks like a roller coaster to me. Is it one? It didn't say that it is one.
  20. It looks to me like they have made the routes and paths and stuff like that more accurate to how they are in the park. Like for instance, rebel yell, ricochet, and hurler all weren't exactly in the right position in the old maps. They were curved a little bit in the wrong direction, and just stuff like that. In this newer version, it's more accurate to the correct way that the rides are. While the paths and stuff like that are more accurate, I wish they could morph the way they did the rides now and how they were. Kinda combine the two different concepts. And I also hope that this map folds, unlike this past year! Hopefully they will!
  21. I see what they did there. Made it look like one of the older maps back in the day. Yeah, I like the newerr versions of the maps, so I can't say that I like the map, but its cool with what they did.
  22. Ok, maybe not every anniversary. Some, though...
  23. I think you're probably right. Makes sense, anyway. Cedar Fair loves giving parks big attractions for their anniversaries, so no use in giving them a coaster the year before it, and then slides for their 40th!
