  1. yay pieces of the ride are on site! thats good!
  2. A photo on screamscape showed that kingda Ka had received more supports for the tower and that the orange parts for Zumanjaro have appeared on site. I recommend checking it out. www.screamscape.com
  3. Too bad they aren't just given the action zone a new Halloween themed area. Give a couple of rides a repaint, and the area would look great!
  4. I've only ridden Hulk, and found it to be a very intense ride. I hope to try Kumba soon, but I know i'll like it! Dragon Khan sounds fun too. Riding Wildfire at Silver Dollar City would be nice too, so i'll add that to the bucket list as well.
  5. A colorful one would be nice! Will it be colorful? Prob not.
  6. ok, but what's your point? the color schemes are absurdly similar in both cases. all four coasters we're talking about are now primarily red and yellow. seriously what is up with Cedar Fair Ronald McDonalding all their coasters?? i don't even hate it. it's just baffling. Don't forget Thunderhawk at Michigan's Adventure! Thats a big ole McDonalds!
  7. While TTD and ID both sport the red and orange, TTD also has white on it. Though the supports for TTD are yellowish...but they do have some orange in them. You could argue the color, but anyway, back to what I was saying, ID used to have Silver supports, but then it didn't have the orange. So the color schemes weren't exactly the same. And that goes for i305 and Anaconda. Anaconda also has the dark green.
  8. If they're gonna keep the ride, then I think it would've been a good idea to change the color scheme back to the original one. Then you won't have 2 color schemes right next to each other, and it would fit in with the 40th anniversary theme.
  9. I found the operations at Great Adventure to be really good. They were running 3 trains all the time on a lot of their coasters. All the big ones at least.
  10. Yes, a whole lot actually. This is my home park, so looks like they are making a lot of changes to the station! Loading gate is on the opposite side, so I wonder if now you will exit through the original entrance. I'm interested in seeing how much the capacity is changed. Hopefully it will be like they say, and it will be better!
  11. Wow! Looking sharp! I actually hate the anaconda and would've rather them just tear it down so they could use the space for a nice B&M, but since we're stuck with it, at least its looking better. But I still would've preffered a different new color scheme, other than the old one. I'm not a fan of two red coasters right next to each other.
  12. Robb stated a few pages back that they were holding out and were gonna talk about it and reveal the location, but no matter when that happens, I think its safe to say that this will probably have to open in 2015, as opposed to the original 2014 slotted opening.
  13. Yeah, but heres what I'm wondering. So if Cedar Fair is having RMC retracking a lot of their coasters and they see how popular they're becoming, I wonder why Cedar Fair hasn't requested that an inverting woodie be sent to one of their parks. I think that an RMC would be a better 50th Birthday present than a rebel yell retracking. KD did state that the celebration would start in 2014.
  14. At that link, someone posted a photo of Wicked Twister, and Knoebels replied saying "Nope"
  15. KD has confirmed that the rebel yell will not be running backwards, however along with a new sign, they claim that other "exciting upgrades" will come to the ride. My guess? Old original color scheme and running lights.
  16. I'm liking that they are adding this benefit. Heres my theory: Its been around for a while and so its not gaining as much profit and so they want to now use it as another persuasive way for people to upgrade from a silver pass to a gold pass. I always get gold, and still have yet to visit Dinosaurs Alive, so I'm just glad that now I get to get in for free!
  17. Honestly at this point I would much rather see the park add flat thrill rides than a new coaster, with the exception of Iron Colossus. They need some flat rides. How bout start off with a 400 ft SkyScreamer? That way there is one on the east coast, one on the west coast, and one in the middle! Makes sense to me! Thats what they should do. Then add an S&S Screamin swing and a HUSS.
  18. Launched Flying Coaster. Please.
  19. Speed. I love me some speed. Cuz with speed comes intensity. I like those forces that come with the speed. Of course, the ride has to be smooth as well. Height is cool, but a ride doesn't have to be really tall to be good. Long rides rock. Lap bars are better than over the shoulder restraints. I'm not a big fan of them, with the exception of i305's. very comfy restraints. I love flying coasters too. My favorite loop is a pretzel loop. I'm not a cobra roll person(most of the time). I also love some good ole effects like fire and smoke in a ride.
  20. I wonder when they are going to make any more announcements about what else is gonna happen as part of their 40th. They keep on saying they have more, so I wonder when they'll announce them. Surely they have more to announce, and it wouldn't surprise me if one of them is an announcement of tem bringing back an old ride. C'mon hurry up and announce it already!
  21. (Slow Clap, as seen in the super bowl car commercial)
  22. SIX FLAGS AMERICA!!! -Said no one ever But if I had to vote, I'd probably say BGW. Excellent theming. So much of it too!
  23. ^ that could be a possibilty. Its sits close enough to Grizzly that if they decided to tear down grizzly and the go carts, they could use that large area of land for a nice big GCI woodie. Or they could just keep grizzly and build a cool flat ride there instead.
