  1. Thank you! EDIT: Dang... Why do I always end up on the next page?!
  2. I will if I ever make it to the end of the thing...
  3. The track not lining up with the hexagon is what your complaining about!? lol Would you prefer I complain about it being slow and force less?
  4. From the OnPoint post from earlier today: No mention of Cadillac Cars at all.
  5. It's amazing. But the track doesn't line up with the hexagon, which is sadly going to make this look off every time I see it.
  6. There's no point. It a troll video. And there's several (other?) people commenting to support it.
  7. Ahhhh good idea! The problem is that neither her or I have a pair of sunglasses that can attach a strap but I can see if her regular glasses can, and they're transitions meaning they darken in the sun. What's funny though is I told her that I'm going to get pivothead sunglasses and she keeps telling me they'll make me take them off but I always see people with glasses/sunglasses on rides and they NEVER FREAKING CARE!!!! I'd just go to Walmart and find a cheapo pair of big sunglasses. Bonus points if they work with a strap. Then superglue felt on the inside. It also wouldn't look nearly as weird walking through the park with a blindfold on. And personally, I think you're better off keeping the dark glasses on until the train pauses at the drop, then removing them. But that's just me.
  8. You could get creative with felt lined dark sunglasses.
  9. The picture hasn't updated since early this morning when it was still dark.
  10. I know it isn't open yet but what about ThunderBird at holiday world? That looks like a nice launch coaster. But we have no idea what it's reliability will be like. It could be just as reliable as other B&M's. Or it could equal TTD for uptime. We can guess given B&M's history that it will do well, but this is a big technological leap.
  11. Depends on the ride. There are many attractions that are perfectly safe for a young child as long as they are able to sit up on their own and on the inside of the seat, next to an adult.
  12. Doesn't matter. He's gone in 2017 anyway.
  13. It's not Medusa. I believe it is Zeus or Jupiter (Sky/Storms - Cyclones). It could also simply be a powerful deity figurehead that's purely for aesthetics.
  14. Don't forget it makes a difference if the ride's been running or not already. If it's 30° at opening, the ride may not be able to open. But if it's 50° at opening, then gets cooler later on (even dipping below 42° or whatever the cutoff is) it's easier to stay open.
  15. I've been in your shoes before with the guests yelling at the operators but the I just let them yell because the bottom line is they can't do anything until maintenance and supervision arrives. We had a group of parents yelling at operators, management, and maintenance then threaten to call 911. For one, we're far enough away that by the time the fire department would get there to get them off, we'll have evaced everyone. And SOP for them is to contact the park to confirm whether we need any assistance or not. (Psst... We don't)
  16. It's a red sharpie. Maverick is red. The sharpie's on a book. Writing a book on Maverick.
  17. IE: Vekoma Boomerang. I was specifically thinking GIB, since the train and catch car both meet at almost exactly the same speed, and yet you still get airtime when it stops.
  18. Considering that replacing chain dogs and such is expensive, especially when you've got 4 trains to maintain, and Six Flags isn't known for sinking a lot of money into maintenance, isn't less wear a good thing? Painful is probably not a great word in this case, but there most certainly is a difference between meeting the chain at the same speed and entering the lift faster than it is moving.
  19. Remember, the existence of brakes only means the train can stop there. Not that it will or even needs to on a general basis. And I'd rather loose the inertia in a set of magnetic brakes than by slamming onto the chain, causing unneeded stress to the chain, chain dogs, and motor. And if the extra seconds help operations get another train close enough to dual, then even better. (Painfully) loosing all your momentum due to gravity then inching up the hill waiting for the other train to catch up would be much worse.
  20. How do you like the 70D?
  21. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=69745 Yup.
  22. It looks like it's rotating about the left rail, so it appears in this picture to not flow well. At least that's how it looks to me.
