  1. Viper - Six Flags Great America
  2. That's not good news . What time of day were you there?
  3. Vallejo
  4. Sorry if this sounds too off-topic, but when I rode Batman last summer in mid-August, the wheel assembly covers were not on, which made the look of the train not as good. It didn't affect the ride experience at all, but if anyone knows, was there a reason for this?
  5. I don't know if the amphitheater is structurally unsound or not, I just know it's out of code and that's why it can't be used. Some new things are happening at the construction site.
  6. ^ I got that aerial photo from Google Earth. The image was taken back in October which is why there is some Haunt theming visible. I asked Mr. Frazier pretty much that same question. I mentioned rumors about a dive coaster for CP, and possible coaster rumors for Valleyfair and Michigans Adventure. I asked if he could shed some light on if there is still a possibility of getting a coaster in 2016. He replied back and said "Wow, a lot of rumors" and "No comments from me" Take that how you want, I have some thoughts on it but I'll keep that mum for now Based on what he said here, I think that he probably knows about whatever is going on with the CP Dive Coaster and what the rumor means for Valleyfair. He just can't say anything about it right now.
  7. -Opened in 2000. -Caripro Batflyer Coaster. -42 feet tall. -Closed in 2003. Next: Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge at Nickeloden Universe
  8. That's what I was thinking as well. I had always heard that the process of a park getting a new coaster takes about two years, and based on what we've heard from Bryan Edwards, it sounds like they may still be in the early planning stages, but I could be wrong, and it's totally possible that the Dive Coaster could be coming in 2016.
  9. Pretty much all B&Ms I've been on have had good capacity as long as they are running at least two trains. I think the four-across seating is the big thing that B&Ms have going for them, capacity-wise. Despite being a shuttle coaster, the two Intamin Impulses I've ridden (Steel Venom and V2-SFGAm) usually have good capacity as long as the ride ops aren't goofing off, and this is probably because of the short ride cycle. Unfortunately, a most of the wooden coasters I've ridden don't have a great capacity. Maybe it's just me, but even with two-train operations, if there's a decent line, I feel like I'm waiting longer than I should be for wooden coasters.
  10. Both have Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loops. Six Flags Great Adventure and Dollywood.
  11. Granted, but it will still take a while to learn it. I wish for Nickelodeon Universe to get a new coaster.
  12. Both had a vertical loop. Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags America.
  13. ...the reason you ride a park's observation/drop tower is to see how long the lines for the other rides are (assuming the queues are visible).
  14. I've never thought of that walkway being that deserted since it is near Enterprise and Wild Thing's turnaround, but I can see where you're coming from. I do agree that a WindSeeker in WT's turnaround and a Slingshot in the old Chaos spot would give that area more life. Of course, a WindSeeker is not likely, but since Cedar Fair relocated one in 2014, maybe not impossible either. Also, once the amphitheater bites the dust, that should probably create enough room for a big, thrilling flat ride. My ideal choice would be a HUSS Giant Frisbee, but it might be something else.
  15. Both had stand-up coasters. Six Flags St. Louis and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
  16. Thinking about possibly going to this park next weekend. How busy is Nickelodeon Universe/Mall of America on weekends in January? Should I expect lines to be long? I wouldn't know because all of my previous visits were on weekdays.
  17. Cedar Point and Carowinds both have RipCords and Slingshots (Carowinds will get one this year), so I don't see why RipCord would stop Valleyfair from getting their own Slingshot.
  18. MIchigan's Adventure just posted their 2015 operating schedule, and they will apparently be open an extra weekend this year, but probably only because of when Labor Day happens to fall. Also, why is it that all Cedar Fair operating calendars have that glitch on the first week where every day is shifted over to the left one day?
  19. ^^^ Looks great. Now all they have to do is announce it. So, will this be open on opening weekend?
  20. Both have coasters made by Arrow Dynamics. Knott's Berry Farm and Valleyfair.
  21. Granted, it's a massive snowstorm that takes out electricity and won't let you go anywhere. I wish for a roller coaster ride right now.
  22. ^ Pretty much agree with everything he said. I guess parks do occasionally consider enthusiasts' input sometimes, but for the most part, they build what will satisfy their biggest audience (the general public), and as long as they do that, they don't really care what we think.
  23. ^ I guess it is possible that they could announce a Slingshot for this season since Cedar Point didn't announce theirs until February last year, but the ride itself didn't open until July. Still, if VF does get a slingshot it will probably happen in 2016 or later, and even then, with the height limit, I'm not sure if a Slingshot would be possible. The one place they could definitely put one is at the west end of the park near Excalibur and Thunder Canyon since the height limit isn't in effect there, but a Slingshot there would feel really out of place.
  24. I think a GCI or RMC woodie would be a good fit for Canada's Wonderland because even though they have two wooden coasters already, from what I've heard, they're both rough pieces of trash, which basically means that Canada's Wonderland lacks a decent wooden coaster. Also, maybe once Cedar Fair starts doing business with RMC, maybe they could turn one of the bad woodies into an amazing RMC hybrid coaster. Even though some sort of B&M is probably what their next coaster will be, I think the park deserves an upgrade in the wooden coaster department sometime.
  25. On Monday, The Weather Channel posted a POV of Tatsu on their Facebook page, and I found a few dumb comments.
