Granted, you wake up at midnight, exhausted, and can't get back to sleep. I wish I could come up with a good wish. -

So, why are they waiting until (I assume) tomorrow to put the last piece of track in? They were very close to doing it earlier, and I can't see why they'd want to put it off now. -

I assume that little building they're constructing must be that yellow building that is in the concept art, which would probably be for getting towels and renting lockers. -

Granted, but that coaster is down for maintenance. I wish for the snow to disappear. -

They already have Wild Thing's lift hill lit up. I took this picture of it when I was at Valleyfair at night last July, and I think it looks really nice this way. Sorry about the blurriness. -

I don't think that riding Excalibur is credit-whore-like activity. Isn't credit whoring usually referencing to riding kiddie coasters? I think he's calling it a "credit whore" coaster because most enthusiasts don't really like Excalibur. I think it can be a decent ride if you sit in the front car and brace yourself for the transitions. Besides, he says he was in MN from 1989-1991, and he might already have his Excalibur credit if he went to Valleyfair then, but I wouldn't know. -

So, if this possible enthusiast event came to reality, would you have to be a part of an official coaster club to participate? If so, I might have to join club TPR soon. Looks like Corkscrew's train colors will finally match the track colors this year. From VF's Twitter. -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
VF15 replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Recently in a physics class, when someone mentioned roller coasters in relation to energy, they insisted that they have an engine that gets them through the course. I know this is a common GP comment, but since it's called a roller coaster, you'd think it would be common sense that they're not powered. -

45 degrees and most of the snow is gone right now where I am. Doesn't seem right for January in this part of the country. -

^ I saw that Valleyfair used to have an enthusiast event called Coaster Craze for a few years in the past, but they don't do it anymore because the event attendance was dropping. Maybe if enough people expressed interest to the park, maybe they could bring it back. I also heard that they'd sometimes give lightly-braked/brake-free rides on Wild Thing during Coaster Craze, and if VF did something like that, I would go to it in a heartbeat. -

Granted, it literally goes right next to your house, so trains passing at night causes sleeping troubles. I wish for wooden coasters to have a higher capacity.
