  1. Earlier today. When was the last time you rode an RMC?
  2. I'm currently looking at hotels in Pigeon Forge for my visit to Dollywood next month, and I'm considering staying at the DreamMore Resort. I typically try to avoid reserving hotel rooms that cost more than $100-a-night, but this one might be worth it with the discounted admission and free TimeSaver Pass. Those of you that have stayed there before, would you recommend it?
  3. Water parks are usually plenty of fun, but not something I go out of my way for. I visit the water park at my local park (Valleyfair) once or twice a season when it's hot, but if I'm making a long distance theme park trip, I usually stay in the dry park unless the waterpark has something that really stands out because I'm more of a coaster/flat ride person.
  4. I had heard rumors that some of the waterslides were having water flow problems that hurt people's backs, and that Whitewater West would be coming in this spring to fix it. Looks like that might be what this is.
  5. Earlier today, we went front sunny skies to heavy snow back to sunny skies in about 30 minutes. Weird.
  6. -Opened in 1990. -Designed by Dinn Corporation. -95 feet tall. -3400 feet long. Next: Corkscrew - Michigan's Adventure
  7. Back in October, Corkscrew at Valleyfair. When was the last time you rode on a bus?
  8. Flying Eagles construction photos. From Dave Frazier. From VF's Twitter.
  9. Kraken - SeaWorld Orlando
  10. Probably a few months ago. When was the last time you went to an athletic event?
  11. About three years ago. When was the last time you met a coaster enthusiast IRL?
  12. From the comment section of one of TPR's Chinese Knockoff SLC POVs: "this is a copy of the raptor from cedar point"
  13. Watched in its entirety two years ago, seen occasional clips since then. When was the last time you saw a live musical?
  14. I'm usually not a huge fan of log flumes, though I do particularly like the Log Chute at Nick Universe/Mall of America. Has some nice theming that ties in with local folklore, two great drops, and it's a nice way to cool down because the rest of the park/mall is always fairly hot.
  15. Granted, but your copy of the game has tons of glitches. I wish for a trip to SFMM.
  16. Not really surprised that they cut early entry. Whenever I was there for it, it seemed like hardly anyone else was there, even on days when the park ended up packed.
  17. Doesn't look like it. From Dave Frazier.
  18. A coaster's intensity, airtime, layout, inversions, smoothness/roughness, and sense of speed can all contribute to how much I like a coaster and where I'll rank it, but for the most part, my rankings are based on which rides are the most fun and the ones that put the biggest smile on my face.
  19. Good to hear. My trip to Dollywood isn't until late May, so if "going to open the coaster in a couple of weeks" is true, then I should be fine. It's a shame that all of these of delays have happened, but I guess it's better than opening it as is and having it be another Top Thrill Dragster (closed half of the time).
  20. ^ Steel Venom actually does have fake owls, though they aren't directly in the station. Pretty sure they're there to scare away birds. Photo credit goes to RCjunkie.
  21. April Fools joke from Kings Dominion. Photo from KD Golden Years.
  22. Avatar Airbender at Nick Universe.
  23. ...you read the TPR forums while waiting in line at parks to pass the time. (Waiting in line at Nick Universe as I type this.)
  24. I'm at the park right now and I'm about to ride FlyOver America for the first time . I'll share my thoughts on it later today.
