Carowinds Discussion Thread

Why would anyone want old, rough, low-capacity, maintenance headaches when you could get something new, smooth, high capacity, reliable for 30% more? It's all about ROI. Right now, my biggest concern is how long some of these plots will be vacant for. -
You ever hear of flashbacks? The majority of the musical is told in flashback form. We go into flashbacks immediately after No One Mourns the Wicked. I was curious how the narrative structure would be addressed in the movie given that film part 1 is just musical act 1.

I've said that Oz is lucky that the sentient being made of metal that lacks a heart didn't decide to go all Terminator on the Emerald City. So, in honor of Wicked part 1 coming out next week: Spoilers for part/act 2.

I picked up single use fast lanes for Copperhead Strike, Thunder Striker, and Fury on Saturday the 21st. All were walk ons with it. I did 2 houses stand by, waited maybe a combined 20 minutes for them. The bigger thing is the line to get in. I arrived 2 hours after Scarowinds started (walked across the street from my hotel) and the security line was well beyond Fury's treble cleft if you're familiar with the park. -

Is this confirmed? I know the popular speculation is a hyper that uses the Dinos plot at least in part. When was this said? And if not B&M, do they go with Mack or Vekoma? -

Right now, I'm expecting to make a trip out to the park (and BGW) for Haunt 2025. After Twisted Timbers and I/P 305, there's a good drop off in Quality rides. This should be a less intense ride than the aforementioned 2, which the crowds will love. Even if it's not Volcano. Now when will the permanent new theme be announced for the ride Formerly known as I305? -
I was at the park the past 2 days for the first time and wanted to share some thoughts. X2: the rotation of the seats is rough. Almost wish they had leg restraints. Fun ride, though. YOLOCoaster: due to the short layout, that second train stacks a long time in the California sun. And I didn't like being gut-checked by the lap bar hitting the brakes mid airtime. Wonder Woman: I'm convinced I just don't have a good body size/proportions for RMC Raptors. Love the layout, hate the trains. Twisted Colossus: I really don't like RMC trains. The second lift kills the pacing, but at least I got 1 dueling lap. Superman: Intamin's gonna Intamin. No sign of life. DC event: glorified dance party with characters and a couple shows. Don't get me wrong, I loved the interactions I had with some of the characters. Such as when I met Superman wearing a Homelander shirt from The Boys (He recognized it). And Joker remembering me by name between Saturday and Sunday because I conducted those M&Gs in character as my clown character Chortlez, The Mad. Overall: Park needs more flat rides. Food prices are insane (expected but $20 for a slice of pizza, chips, and a coke?). Loved the solar panels over the parking lot.

Those who are complaining for the most part is that it is no longer "Thigh Crush," or that that feeling has lessened somewhat. It's still a kick-ass Intamin with intentions on sending you to Saturn at light speed, so I don't know what people's problems are. -

It's the worst its been in years. And with a dam about to burst nearby, it could get worse yet. I have a season pass, though I have yet to visit while the park is open. -
^Depending on what rumor you believe, that's part of the next major expansion for Magic Kingdom. I'm just worried they wouldn't really commit to it. Just imagine an entire dark ride themed around Night on Bald Mountain. Hell, there was zero mention of Dr. Facilier in Tiana's Bayou Adventure. But at the same time, how awesome would a new-gen Vekoma flyer would be themed around Maleficent? Back on topic, very excited for Dark Universe. Probably the land I'm most excited for at the park. At the moment, I'm aiming to visit in 2027--gives them time to work out some kinks and a bit of the newness/#FIRST to wear off.

Feeling a lot like Anthony right now as I've been approved for a new apartment. Haven't signed the lease just yet, but soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJtL8vWNZ4o&pp=ygUNQW50aG9ueXMgc29uZw%3D%3D
