Mini-Photo TR: Dania Beach
YoshiFan replied to Thrasher's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If the tickets don't expire, it's also a better deal to buy the tickets individually if you are a local and plan on riding once or twice a visit since the tickets work out to a little over $3 each when buying 9. -

Nice photos. I hate when ride ops make you exit the ride and go through the entrance again when no one is waiting. I know it's probably the rules they are told to follow but management should allow them to make the decision at their own discretion and allow re-rides if there is no one waiting for your row. -
Mice and rats. I just don't like them

Tony Hawk's Underground 2. So far I am not liking it. It feels less like the old games and more like an episode of Viva La Bam

The only time rides make me sick is if I go on a ride too much. Like after I went to Dorney and went on Hydra and Talon 4 times each, I got a bad headache. I think it was because I wasn't use to that much riding at once though (I usually never go on coasters more than once or twice a visit to a park).

Busch Gardens Tampa Or Williamsburg?
YoshiFan replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Williamsburg. I had a really bad time at Tampa the only time I was there (9 years ago). The one major problem I had was that every coaster they had in the park had inversions at the time (Python, Scorpion, Montu and Kumba). I have never been to any park where every coaster built has inversions and at that time I wasn't ready for those so I didn't get to go on any coasters. I also like the environment of the Williamsburg park better (better thememing IMO). -
Steel Dragon 2000 could be scrapped!!!

I wish they would just re-locate it outside of Japan if they don't plan to have it running in Japan ever again. -
Because today is the official start of the holiday shopping season which usually means for retailers, stores go into the black (profits) from the red (losses). I didn't do any shopping today in stores. I did order Metal Gear Solid 3 for PS2 for $9.99 from EBGames.com but that was it. The reason I don't go out for Black Friday is because I hate dealing with crowds (amusement park or mall, it doesn't matter I like going out when there aren't many people) and if you look carefully, you can get deals throughout the year that are just as good deals as the Black Friday specials. For example, Circuit City was advertising PS2 games for $4.99 in their ad. I was able to get those same games at KB Toys for $2.50 and $4.99 last month.

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
YoshiFan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was kind of expecting the Dorney effect to happen. When Wildwater Kingdom is open, the amusement side is almost dead. I know that won't happen at Hershey since it's not a full size water park but I am hoping it will happen but on a smaller scale. -

I'm hoping that the lines will get shorter as well. Anything to take lines away from the coasters is good in my opinion. -
Woodstock Express for Sale
YoshiFan replied to momo1tx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Joker on that page probably is Dorney's unfortunately. I wish they would have moved it somewhere else in the park instead of removing it. Even if it really was Woodstock's Express that was for sale, I don't think it would be a huge loss. The park already has 1 kiddie (Little Laser) and 1 kiddie/family coaster (Dragon) and 3 kiddie/family coasters in a park with only 9 coasters total seems excessive anyway (not that they should remove the ride but it really doesn't seem like they needed it in the first place) -
Yoshi is my favorite game character and I use the name Yoshi or YoshiFan (if Yoshi is taken) on most forums I post on.

I heard mixed opinions about the controls since with only 1 analog stick on the PSP, you use the 4 buttons in place of the 2nd stick like on the Dual Shock. I wish the DS version wasn't cancelled since I think that would have worked better with the stylus and touch screen.

I got it 2 years ago and still got the flu. I don't think I'm going to get it this year

Yoshi's Touch and Go is a game that I really like. It's the perfect pick up and play game that you play for 10 - 20 minutes at once. For Gameboy Advance Games, my favorite game is Super Monkey Ball Jr. It includes a lot of levels from the Gamecube game but also has a full bowling game and 2, 9 hole golf courses (mini golf style) so you get a lot of value and re-playability.

That's a great idea. I might do it if I don't get the game by the middle of next week. On a side note, I don't know if it's been out for a while or not since I live in an area where the arcade seems to be a thing of the past but I saw a Mario Kart arcade machine today. It was made by Namco and Nintendo but it's awesome, way better than Double Dash.

Most Excited About?

Everest, looks like it will be a great ride -
I'm really starting to regret pre-ordering from Outpost.com now. They had it for $23.99 with no tax so I figured it was a great deal and I thought pre-ordering over 1 1/2 weeks before the release date would mean I would get it at the end of this week. It's backordered and they don't have an exact ship date. I guess I shouldn't have decided to be cheap with a Mario Kart game and save the deals for other games I don't care about as much.

They also removed the boats near the Zephyr in 2000 I think which I was very dissapointed to see gone because that was a ride I always used to go on when I was a kid. The new bumper cars are some of the worst I have ever been on. Only 11 cars (when I was there) and each car holds 1 person so capcity is horrible. Controlling the cars with the levers hurts your hands because they rattle so much and when you bump into another car, there is almost no impact. And I'm not sure how often they need to do it but they have to refuel the cars and they had to close the ride for 15 minutes to refuel them.
