No, it's still an Infinity track. EDIT: Added the "I'm just kidding" mark. It's just that I love spending time looking at the differences between Eurofighters and Infinity - as you can tell with my previous messages on this topic. The line between the two is not clear anyway. In the end, I think this coaster can be called an Eurofighter, but it does have the track developed by Gerstlauer for Infinity coasters (and the subtitle was refering to the track, so I pointed out that it was already right). No hard feelings.

The scale model also have the belt inbetwee the two set of cars, not all the way around. Your memory is fooling you, coasterbill.

How ironical that would be! Matterhorn was the very first tubular steel roller-coaster, and the whole concept behind the T-rex/Raptor track is to get rid of tubular tubes and their drawbacks (mostly being weaker when bent).

The lap-bar and seat on Taron are about the very best on the market in my opinion. It's as confortable as a Mack, only more open on the upper body, which is welcomed. I haven't rode Skyrush, but I rode Altair that got yet another kind of lap-bar from Intamin. It's like day and night ; Altair isn't unconfortable, but it's all cramped, and the bar tends to crush the thighs a bit. Nothing like Taron.

I think I got it. This will most likely be a DyMoRides' Classic Flying Theatre. It is called "Flying Theater" as well, and it is a world's first... Rumors said the ride will start with us seating in the audience of Fallon's show: ... and one is scheduled for Orlando in 2017!

^ Do you have a source, or is it just a guess? I don't remember ABC rides ever made Robocoasters, and I think it's chinese-build. When it comes to media motion-based attractions, it seems that they do a lot themselves. They might even be multiple manufacturer in China, as I've been told that this Robocoaster is not the same as the one in Joyland (not the same gondola and harness design, and better movements at Fantawild. Joyland doesn't have any dome screen carousels, too). NickC, I guess you're right. There are no conveyor belt, and the load and unload are separated with a wall.

Sorry for the double-post (again), but I found a patent and I think it depicts Devil's Peak, Fantawild's Robocoaster, similar to Forbidden Journey. This is a ride I've yet to find any pictures or videos... There are a bunch of drawings in here from pages 11 to 18, including this layout overview:

That annoucement about Volcano Bay sounds really promising! - Back on Fallon a bit, I heard that it won't even be a Flying Theater as we know it (a Soarin'-like attraction), but rather a more traditionnal motion simulator. They might have said flying theater figuratively, as "the theater you'll be seated in will fly", you know. By the way, if you are tired of the good ol' realistic Soarin' film(s), try this EPIC fantasy themed version!

If it's still Dragon Fire as we heard of it some times ago, it will be a clone of Deep Space wth with a twisted reverse-spike and launch in three times.

According to Google Earth, that's a 111x65m building : In this older view, you can spot the water canal, which actually makes a simple triangle : The last four photos on my previous post were actually the same set (on the right hand side on the satellite image I'd guess). I found a complete POV including the boat tour and the show.

Sorry for the double-post, but this attraction at Fantawild Dreamland Zhengzhou is also worth mentionning... It is described as a part walk-through, part boat-ride and part SFX show like Disaster at Universal Studios. But not your regular boat ride... Boats here can hold up to 200 people! I gathered some images from this Fantawild video, took with lights on. HUGE boats. Screen integration into scenery. This is a show section with flying performers. And this is the special effect section (people are standing on the right, under the glass roof I assume). Here is an additionnal picture from Trips'n'Pics during normal operations:

I had a recent trip to Youku (I do what I can), and I took in my backpack a video of one of the many Fantawild's dark-rides. Yeah, because I think we all know the coasters in there, but not about all the others incredible attractions they got! Though they often smell awfully like their western inspirations, some are quite unique and worth a mention. I saw at least a Soarin'-like, a Poseidon's Fury-like, a Spiderman-like, an Indiana Jones-like and a... Forbidden Journey-like? YES THEY DO. I've yet to find a video of the Forbidden Journey-like, and from a report I read, it's not the best of them all (or, the least worst). I managed to find a decent POV of one of the Spiderman-like, called Dino Rampage. Yes, it got dinos and it's a total rampage! The last 3D sequence is quite intense! If you don't get everything (which won't be surprising), here is a rather detailed attraction overview from Fantawild. During my Youku trip (dang this website has a lot of ads, it's painful), I came across the other Spiderman-style dark-ride with ninjas and dragons ; and the Indiana Jones-style dark-ride. As I said, I didn't found any videos of the robocoaster dark-ride. The only thing I got is this picture of the ride vehicle... ...but this one is from World Joyland! But how many robocoaster dark-rides are out there?! I don't know! About World Joyland, they also got a Soarin'-like, and the . It's like Soarin' but in an epic, fantasy-themed environment with inspirations from Avatar, LOTR, Star Wars, etc. The space battle scene is breathtaking!

Tue, but for instance: Dopplemayr in the US: Dopplemayr in Europe: So, while it's the same companies, they somehow don't have the same product lines. In the US, there are still ropeway that operate WITHOUT ANY RESTRAINTS: And now, look at the supports and especially the wheels for the cable to run on. No maintenance plateform, no catch-cable in case of derailment, etc. Never EVER you'll see that in Europe. Even Blizzard Beach's chairlift look kind-of scary: Here is a similar chairlift in Europe. A little bit bulkier, in my opinion. But yeah, those are just my observations, and not a general truth. The US do have more modern and cool-looking installations.

Don't get me started on Ski (or Sky) Lifts! You might enjoy this article I wrote back then, because after coasters, this is another thing I really love. It's also funny to note that, while coaster-wise we europeans are jealous of the US ; in matter of ropeways we are century ahead of you guys! Ropeways in the US seriously look like the equivalent of "Jet Coasters"! They lack so many safety features, and have no design...

It's LSM. But I don't know, it might depend on the manufacturer. Intamin's are manufactured by Indrivetec ; Mack, Gerstlauer, Maurer and Premier Rides uses InTraSys (Intamin did in the past) and Lightning Rod is Velocity Magnetics.

No, I think the shell is there, but protected in cartboard and plastic tarp. As I mentionned, it has shinguards, that means no higher shell.

... aaaand I was wrong! Well, partially. This is still a Gerstlauer, still an Infinity coaster trackwise... but the trains are Eurofighters: So it's like Krater: But not like Monster, or Karacho, as I thought: We can also spot shin-guards, as the row are closer together than an Infinity, and this one don't have a plastic shield like the other Eurofighter. I hope those won't be disruptive.
