  1. I think his one is older. The train is four-seats across, too. Mind. Blown. Bring it on!
  2. They don't as far as I could tell from the video.
  3. On the trains: -The shape of the headrest are diferent -The bulky box for the lap-bar on the Zierer -The shin-guard on the Zierer only On the track: -The diagonal ties are square on the Gerst, round on the Zierer -The slanted diagonal ties (those on the undersides) are connected to the rails on the Gerst, and to the square ties on the Zierer -The track connector between two tri-tubes track segments are square on the Gerst, round on the Zierer -The support connector goes all the way up on the Zierer, but not on the Gerst That's a few differences I can see between the two.
  4. Nope, this is a Gerstlauer Infinity, that's certain. There are a few differences if you look closely, but those are indeed very similar so I understand your doubts.
  5. Not for the season opening, that's for sure. They are talking about spring time. Edit: Ok, you edited your post, now I sound redundant. But we don't have more infos anyway.
  6. Indeed, and that is a beyond vertical drop (from Page 3).
  7. On Youtube, the park is stating the supports will be steel. Now, those for the tunnel(s) are clearly wooden, but those next to the smaller shed are definitely steel. So will it be a mix of both?
  8. I was wondering the same thing, but no, they're still talking about the Vekoma as well.
  9. Because the announcement video was quite a mess to untangle, I made an edit keeping only the useful informations:
  10. I put the two POV side-by-side if that helps: Another thing to consider, is that the friction is most likely wrong, being NoLimits. I mean, the train on the Vekoma is very long, it might have more drag than that.
  11. I think the announcement was handled very well by Liseberg. They told us about the new ride for 2017 of course, but also teased about 2018 to shut the mouth of people who only want big coasters, and at the same time, they prepared the terrain for the removal of Kanonen. People can still ride it in 2017, and we already know it will be for something better. Even if you loved Kanonen and find a Dive Machine boring (but who would think that?), the sole fact that they want to make a cohesive and immersive area with more theming and foliage is a huge improvement. Have you looked at the station of the Dive Machine closely? It's beautiful! Well done Liseberg!
  12. ... on the picture of Loke, which is opening in 2017. The dive is only opening the next year I assume, so they'll only remove Kanonen that year. But let's wait until the annoucement to be sure! I still have hope both could cohabit in their happy tiny world. Definitely not NoLimits. But yeah, the first concept-art is really something artsy to get the mood, whereas the second is most likely a render of the real layout (but we can't see much... Themepark.nl says 3 inversions).
  13. I read (themepark.nl) Kanonen will be removed to make place for the dive.
  14. Yes, after closer inspection, this is a Gyro Swing Intamin (the rumors got me confused ). We can note the lap-bars à la Falcon Fury! With or without vests, I don't know.
  15. What the heck, I clicked the link and... the site is online...?! Please welcome Loke the Gyro Swing Intamin, and Valkyria the Dive Machine B&M.
  16. About the name, it seems that they chose it: Skyline Attractions Facebook page
  17. Vekoma had an open house day at their Vlodrop factory. Themepark.nl got some pictures. The vehicle for the mysterious prototype: ...well, that's disappointing as we still have to wait even more before having more infos on the kind of seats! The track from the vertical lift prototype is still here, indeed: Curvy bits: A junior coaster train: A mysterious red track: But th more interesting thing (to me at least), is this yet-another prototype, this time for a dark-ride: They had a patent for it for years, but here they are making it for real. And in action: [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] Sjaak, where you there that day?
  18. Here is the Maurer Söhne documentary where the renderings come from:
  19. Why did you choose the old-gen Vekoma track, tho? I think the Motorbike track would fit better.
  20. Violent? The Premier Skyrockets are some of the smoothest coasters out there. Yeah, I wouldn't say violent as there are indeed very smooth. But they also are very forceful and have strong laterals, maybe that's what conersteen was trying to say.
  21. Y'all know and love the Togo stand-up coaster. Y'all will love this new contraption japaneses invented! A stand-up seat... that can rotates on its axis, yay! "Did that bird just pooped on me?" "Wow, the manufacturing of this chassis is excellent." Patent
  22. Here is a text that was relayed everywhere, but I can't find the original source (EDIT: Well, just look at the post above): Translation:
  23. D'aww, Spin Rock was among the best pendulum rides I rode, I loved it! Even better than the S&S Swoop Swoop I'd say. But on the other hand, that also was one of the ugliest rides of Liseberg, so that's not surprising. Good thing the park is moving forward!
  24. Nope, the towers from Liseberg are already erected (operating?) at Europark, in Vias, France.
