  1. ^^ True, don't take the speed as granted for instance, I really think my version is in overspeed in the lower bits (the heart, though, seems possible). But it's based on the real layout (not a concept-art I mean), and pictures from the manufacturer. So we can identify what spots where intended to have airtime or not.
  2. See this picture if that can help:
  3. Not necessarily rough, but I personally don't like being pushed against the harness when the car faces the ground, and having the pivot behind your back make the forces greater (on fairground rides, I've yet to ride a Zac Spin).
  4. Here's a revised version of my POV according to those new renderings:
  5. Consider yourself lucky, OCEM just released an exclusive 3D look at the layout! OCEM So actually the two peaks of the heart-shaped thing are not overbanked (it's NOT a roll over, zoom in and follow the track), and then my layout was kinda correct.
  6. It's an unusual ride for Gerstlauer, per say. The inversion count should be one, a heartline roll (?) during the dark-ride portion, which is not included in my simulation. Any other elements that can look like inversions are in fact overbanked turns.
  7. I actually like rolling launches, Anubis is still the launch that impressed me the most. More than Ispeed, Furius Baco, Desert Race, Kanonen, etc. Light cars + rolling launch = tiny launch section => AWESOME! Because you have that gigantic top hat right in front of you, and you're like "we never gonna have the time to get enough spee-- WOOOOOOSH Oh well, we do"
  8. Here is a better image of the layout: From here, I made a quick representation in NL2, not 100% accurate, but I think the main shape is here:
  9. ^^ Round loop confirmed! I also love the entrance to the last zero-g, it does like a trick-track à la Storm Runner.
  10. He's not wrong about transfert track adding down times. However, he says the shoulder straps are for confort only, he doesn't mention disable people.
  11. Dang I do! It's like a giant christmas present! And it's an Intamin! Don't care if it takes me days.
  12. You can refer to the artwork: (Hansa Park, via parkerlebnis.de) And the inversion in the dark-ride part is most likely a heartline roll : (Hapa-forum, via Coasterfriends.de)
  13. ^ The giga will someday be outdated. B&M's first launch will ever be the first launch. #teamThunderbird
  14. ^ I don't think so. Don't quote me on this, but I think rollbacks have to do with the speed window allowed. For a top-hat, it's quite small due to the vertical bits - a difference of 10km/h and it doesn't go over it. For an immelman like Thunderbird, the window is wider and thus it's less likely to have a rollback. But then again, a rollback can happen anytime and for various reasons. Even Wicked has already had rollbacks.
  15. I introduce you the Arm-Lift DUO. It took me three years to figure out how to manage two arms at a time, but here I am! (Learn more on my Facebook page)
  16. I don't know what shape it will take, but Karnan will feature a double loading plateform! Karnan.de Do you think it'll be in line, such as Cheetah Hunt, Maverick, TTD - Or side by side with a track switch, such as Kingda Ka? Anyways, the lift is also mind-blowing: ... and the supports keep rising! Hansapark-fanseite
  17. The ride will reopen only in July... The Silver Spur Steackhouse in Frontierland is also in a major refurb since a few months, and also has those cream canvasses. But wait, there's more. The NewPort Bay Club, DLP's most iconic hotel (the first major Disney building you see if you come to the resort by road) is under a heavy refurb as well. No cream here tho: (As seen on Ameworld.net) It's a very good thing that DLP is moving foreward and dozes these much-needed refurbs. Just avoid going at the park this year... And I heard next year will be worst.
  18. Some are shocked and outraged, some said it's ok for them to save money where they can... What do you think about Discoveryland being under a ton of unthemed canvas? InsideDLParis
  19. New pic of the blue airtime hill, and I still think it looks sharper than in the simulation. (Our Mountain)
  20. Don't forget the line will be a lot longer too. And no matter what, people hate waiting.
  21. Not the ope during hot summer days, nor cold rainy days. That's a good thing they finally covered the station, even if it's pretty basic, at least it's nice and shiny. Next step would be giving our beloved GeForce a decent maintenance bay...
  22. This is a nice initiative from BGW for sure, there is not doubt about it. If only the transformation was not overlaping the interest of the other guests (even including themselves)... Less comfort, less thrill and above all, more waiting time (Granted the people will struggle with the harness). I only wish they'd done it right. How so? 100% custom trains that is, not a frankenstein monster that will -I say it again- truly decrease the capacity of that already low-capacity ride. Sure it would have been more expensive to make a custom designed train, but hey, life is unfair and everything has a cost. Or better yet, they could have picked another manufacturer at the start. Disabled people can't ride about 80% of the coaster on Earth (just a guess). I don't think they will mind that much if they can't pick any row here (plus the train is relatively short, so the experience is about the same).
  23. Wait - WHAT? Any pictures/videos/death report yet?
  24. This is just personal opinion, but accommodating for guests with disabilities never becomes ridiculous. I'm not saying that every roller coaster in the world should be retrofitted with shoulder harnesses to accommodate the disabled, but if a park wants to make sure that someone with a physical disability won't get left behind as their friends and family go ride the park's exhilarating new roller coaster, I say let them go for it. I'm willing to be a little less comfortable during a ride that lasts less than two minutes if it meant more people could experience it with me. Yes, ok, but why ALL the seats then?
  25. Why not only certain seats then? I doubt people with disabilities represent 100% of the guests that will ride Tempesto. And while it's indeed great to trying to accommodate as much guest as possible, well, at some point it becomes ridiculous. And right here we're close to that, because those harnesses will induce longer loading time and unnecessary discomfort for a great part of the riders...
