  1. The park will add 4 new "big rides" for 2016 with a price tag of 6 millions euros. It definitely has a great potential, the rides are original (Darkmare is excellent!) and the scenery impressive. It lacks a global coherence, though, and I'm afraid the materials used will be destroyed in no time...
  2. The park said the launches will be the most powerful LSM launches ever, so it will be pretty intense, yup!
  3. Wait until the trains got VR headsets and there's actually little to no physical theming.
  4. Lol, I guess SixFlags liked my idea, posted on TPR on May.
  5. This is more about that particular photography than the ride's actual lighting package, but I couldn't help but share this amazing composition that shows the beauty of engineering: (Picture by Roger Vail)
  6. ^^Video doesn't seem to work, sadly. But luckily I found another POV of the Magic Sphere on the Polin channel. Starts at 2:15.
  7. Oooh, another idea of mine that comes to fruiction, except it lacks the first foreward launch: (Picture a full layout coming back to the end of the station, that was the plan)
  8. Alton Towers has a height limitation.
  9. ^ Yep. Technical Park. This is an Ejection Seat by the way. The name SlingShot usually refers to the spring-loaded ones. I rode two of them in my life (and not a single SlingShot, but I really want to. They indeed looks smoother -the Ejection flips like crazy, it's notalways enjoyable- yet less intense in the launch) . I don't want them to close! The launch is really, really amazing and it's something you don't see elswhere. Really cool ride. I didn't know two unrelated accidents would seal their fate, despite +15 years of safe operation. I'm only aware of one another accident like that. Seriously, elastics just need maintenance (they must be changed every 200 jumps if I remember correctly), like cables. Those snap too and we still have rides using them.
  10. ^ So even with a 1+ hour of waiting time they keep the reverse drop on?
  11. Another random quotes from B&M, straight out of the hyper-coaster seat patent: "[...] giving each passenger the impression, albeit artificial, that he is seated on a flying carpet or that he is at the controls of a kind of flying scooter" "To provide a somewhat simplistic comparison, a person feels, in overall terms, more at liberty on a bicycle than in a bus." The B&M patents are really cool, they go into the psychology aspect of their innovations!
  12. ^ It was me, haha, glad you liked. Oh I totally forgot the lift was going through the loop! This ride is really something unique...
  13. What worry me the most is the whiplash you can get. I'd make riders wear a hard-suit, like it already exists on some slides. But in the end, I think it's less violent than we might think. Having water all over you is not a problem to me, I mean, it's like when you go underwater. Take a deep-breath, close your eyes or wear glasses (I just can't stand opening my eyes underwater without wearing anything) and it doesn't last that long.
  14. This thing also exist in Austria in a place called Area 47 (looks fun!):
  15. Can we say that the coffin idea is thinking outside the box?
  16. ^ I don't have a roller coaster, but a roller coaster designer (Mr. Bolliger! and I), does that count? I also have a quote from B&M as header. From a B&M... patent. The said quote is: "The enormous success of the roller coaster among the public is due to the fact that the cocktail of sensations is as inevitable as it is changeable, but it changes nothing in the fact that this cocktail is always deliciously explosive." - Source
  17. What about the Dive Loop entrance, Sid? Don't you get airtime on the left seats?
  18. The Inverted loop is the first Immelman. It does look weird/awesome to ride!
  19. I found a cool reverse POV on Youtube: [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/-dvDgWeH9Nc[/youtu_be] Do I hear some vibrations? Bummer, because otherwise, the ride looks GREAT!
  20. D'oh, you cut the ending! Can't wait for the longer version. But great video nonetheless, millions thanks for sharing! The free-fall in the tower is great, but damn that takes A LOT of time.
  21. ^^ Yes, but it's also a pun, because the true translastion for Sacred Crocodiles would be "Crocos sacrés" (Crocos being the short for Crocodiles). But "sacré xxxx!" is an expression those equivalent could be "xxxx, you so silly!". Hard to translate, like 90% of Astérix puns..!
  22. ^ Are you going to upload the full POV? Anyway, thanks for the pics!
  23. How'd you know that? Any renderings, 3D simulations? The post-MCBR part of Ispeed is totally pointless. Such a let down comparing to the fast-paced first half! The Italian Loop is also a pacing killer and don't fit the ride.
  24. This isn't a myth. Don't work with all loops, though.
