  1. Because they need that straight piece of track to disengage the train from the catch-car.
  2. Ok thanks for the precision, that sentence in the video description was what put me in doubt:
  3. Is this a render of the Orlando version, or of the general combo tower concept? Because it's way smaller that what he had, and we've lost half of the figures due to the slimmer design of the tower (zero-g rolls, outside banked top hat, external banked dive loops, etc.).
  4. You can attend the EAS as an individual, isn't it the same for the IAAPA? A few industry people "invited" me to go there.
  5. ^ By the way, Lagotronics also offers hands-gesture dark-ride systems. Do they have a booth over there as well? When I saw that option at their EAS booth, I told the guy: "Oh, so you're the one making the Ninjago rides at Legoland? - No." Woops. Actually, he laughed then, and said Merlin choose Triotech... and "made a terrible choice". I'd be curious to see how their system works. I thought all of these were going to be some sort of Kinect-like, but Triotech's is way different, so I am curious about Lagotronics' as well now.
  6. This is the Australian version.
  7. I LOVE the billboards on the palisades! At least DLP do theme them.
  8. ^ I was able to take a trip on the Hogwart Express yeasterday... on Periscope. A single man as well in his car, showing the different things around, t'was cool.
  9. Considering RMC has tiny version of all their other tracks, I think this is just the regular Trex one. They have the full scale model as well because it's new and never been build, maybe? But for the following years, they'll be using the green display only. Yeah, I saw the Justice League model at the EAS, and it's the Australian version. But Sally's models are always amazing to look at nonetheless! Look again, you're seating like on a motorcycle, and you only have a seatbelt! That's not what I would call "enclosed".
  10. They continue to amaze me as well, but because they keep on converting all my ideas into reality. And this one is no exception. But S&S is also participating to the effort, as well as Maurer AG. I hadn't have the time to make a drawing for a winged moto-coaster train that, TADAA, it's alive (Here is a message (in french) of me mentionning the idea for the skeptics that you are).
  11. So hyped! Enjoy the show everyone. I wish to see... EVERYTHING! Don't forget the in less than an hour from now.
  12. Yay, Alton Towers is unveiling a new Secret Weapon! Oh wait - nevermind.
  13. As I said earlier, this video was supplied to KK by RMC, so this was the actual layout with actual shaping (minus possible last minute changes).
  14. Yes, the park is fine and the "journalists" spread bullsh*t all over the place. It's actually a company that worked with/for the park that went bankrupt if I understand correctly. The park IS NOT going to close, at least for another year (it's not in a very good helth either). As we were told by a staff member in September, they plan to add 4 rides in 2016 for a price tag of 6 millions euros.
  15. Lightning at Lewa has it too, as well as a spinning in China.
  16. La Ronde did that in 2013, too. I don't know if it was open to the public, though. As for Europa Park, do whatever you want, but please oh please enhance the quality of the 3D models... It looks so outdated.
  17. Trains are simple, but cool! Also, despite how awful the rendering video is, I think we can totally trust it shaping-wise. I had a feeling they took the data straight from the manufacturer (we can feel that funky banking at the bottom of the first drop on the animation also), and Kentucky Kingdom confirmed me that they received it from Rocky Mountain Construction.
  18. What does ODE mean? I'm a little lost, thanks.
  19. Anwyays the rails will come soon enough and then we'll see how it is shaped. ^ Darn, could this possibly be the RMC with the most large airtime hills?
  20. He's talking about sideway airtime during the rolling transition, and I get where he gets that feeling.
  21. If the NoLimits model with the winged trains and the pull-through cars weren't convincing enough, here is yet another proof: Trains will have seven cars, and those are definitely 4-across. From .
  22. Exactly, and to bring back the Skyrush example once again, on POVs I feel like the camel backs have short floating times on them, not strong sustained ejectors like everyone who has ridden it will tell me (this is a major mystery I can't explain). So we might be surpised.
