  1. Holiday World! For the first time! I can't wait
  2. I just finished my Intamin giga coaster named Relkagen. It bolts through a heavily forested area at over 90 mph with a total track length of 7,107 ft.
  3. Wolverine Wildcat flies by freakishly close to supports if you sit on the left side of the train. I always lean over to the right in fear I'm going to hit them. I've never been a coaster that has supports feeling as close as that one. Mean Streak also has supports that you can touch on the sides when you go under the structure.
  4. I always fly Delta but recently flew Southwest but wasn't impressed.
  5. I have a question for any of those who are familiar with the launch system on Full Throttle. From what I have previously thought, LSMs need initial momentum from the train before they can propel it. This is the case on coasters such as Maverick, Cheetah Hunt, Sky Rocket, Helix... Is this simply not true or is there something that is propeling the train into the LSMs on Full Throttle? I attached a picture with parts labeled. If I'm guessing correctly, 3 is the first set of LSMs but what is 1 and 2? I also know theres a kicker wheel further back but I'm guessing thats just to put the train into the station. If anyone has some knowledge they'd like to share it would be greatly appreciated!
  6. I recently took my first real trip to SFMM for 2 days on July 21st and 22nd so I figured I’d do a quick trip report about my time there. I had only been to the park once on a quick 4 hour trip so I never really got to experience the whole thing before this. I rode everything once unless stated. Twisted Colossus (x7) I had been looking forward to Twisted Colossus most so I rode that first with only about a 30 minute line. The two days I was at the park I never saw the line get longer than 30 minutes. It was really nice. None of the lines were that long actually. The ride itself is amazing. I ended up riding it 7 times in the 2 days I was there and it is definitely in my top five coasters. I only raced 3 times, out of the 14 total laps I took, so that was kind of unfortunate. It’s definitely more exciting when its racing but still a great ride regardless. It was running the entire time I was there as well so that was good. 10/10 X2 (x2 ) This ended up being my second favorite ride in the park. It’s such a crazy unique experience! I sat in the front, inside seat both rides so that might have been a reason I liked it so much since I didn’t get that roughness that I often hear about. First time was about a 30 minute wait and the second time it was an hour but only due to a breakdown. The audio was working both times but the fire only worked for one of them. 9.5/10 Full Throttle (x2) I loved this coaster as well. It really isn’t anything that special and doesn’t really feel any different than you’d expect it to feel in the POV but still a fun ride regardless. Consistent 45 minute wait both days. 9/10 Scream I actually really liked this coaster. It was better than Rougarou, although that’s the only other floorless coaster I’ve been on. I thought it was really smooth and the new colors look amazing on it as well. 8/10 Apocalypse Fun ride but rough. I hope the rumors about the topper track are true. That would make it an awesome coaster. One train ops on this made it about an hour wait. 7/10 Goliath Longest wait of the whole trip at just over an hour. Another fun ride, great positive G’s and super super smooth. 7/10 Riddler’s Revenge Probably the best stand up I’ve been on. It had a little rattle to it but the layout didn’t cause me pain so that’s good! One train ops made a 3 train wait into a 15 minute wait. 7/10 Green Lantern I was hoping for one of those crazy intense rides everyone talks about on this but unfortunately it didn’t happen. I stayed upright the whole time until the twist into the brakes so it was pretty tame. 7/10 Superman This thing is barely a coaster but it’s still a fun ride. Only the left side was running when I went and barely went into the red section. Short but still thrilling. 7/10 Gold Rusher A neat little Arrow through the trees. There were a ton of kids on it with their parents that seemed to be having the time of their life (wow imagine that Six Flags, a family enjoying a family coaster?!) 6/10 Batman I’m not a fan of the Batman clones since they’re just too intense and dizzying for me. This one was no different 5/10 Revolution The restraints.. whyyyyyyy?? The ride has potential and now I know why people freak out about the restraints. They really just ruin the ride. 4/10 I also did the 3 kiddie coasters because credits (why not? ) Ironically the worst one was the newest one. I didn’t do Ninja, Viper, or Tatsu this trip since I did those 3 last time. Lex Luthor was closed. Overall, I do like this park a lot despite the hate for it. The only major problems I saw were: -the slow operations (both limited train ops and speed of the employees) -the cleanliness/condition of the park -the never ending ads that are literally everywhere you look Wasn’t there a rumor about Herschend wanting to buy this park out a while back? FINALLY (feat. Twix) I don't think this is supposed to happen? This is my favorite shot in the whole park
  7. Since you speak of it, and for those who haven't seen it, here's my "bad a$$ RMC conversion"
  8. #50: Banshee #100: Montu I think its only appropriate that my #150 has to be a B&M invert as well
  9. Looks like the park is taking action (Photo Credit to @JWAddington1835) (Photo Credit to ‏@Justin__Eyerly) https://twitter.com/Justin__Eyerly/status/616967061496053760
  10. I'm at the park today and it looks like Iron Dragon's chain has snapped.
  11. I rode it 20 times this morning and it is definitely better than Mantis. It's so much faster now and very forceful now. The transitions in some seats can really whip you around and if you aren't careful with bracing yourself your head can get tossed around a little bit. It reminds me of a B&M Maverick in terms of transitions. However, it is a smooth ride in terms of the B&M rattle. I rode in every row and it seems like more towards the front or more towards the back is the smoothest on the inside seats. The middle rows have a little bit of a rattle but not too bad. It also seems as if the train has less people in it, it is a little rougher. It still isn't a rough ride, but after 20 rides, my neck is quite sore. My favorite row is the front, but the back row is amazing as well if you're looking for a more intense experience.
  12. Banshee for sure. So much excitement. I would love to see the day where a park could top the energy at that announcement
  13. For me it's not as much theming as it is location. For example, comparing Millennium Force and Leviathan. I like Millennium better because of how it's lift is right by the water, the track is tucked in between trees and goes all throughout that area plus multiple tunnels. Leviathan is just an out and back parking lot coaster. However, if Leviathan and Millennium Force were both put in a field with no trees or anything, I would like Leviathan more just because of the ride it provides.
  14. I posted a pic showing a coaster over that spot (Talon), to which you actually replied to back on page 174. I still think that would be a great location for the new coaster. It could even do a flyover of the front gate and could continue to go down to the amphitheater and do a turn around there.
  15. Thanks! About the speed, I actually put in a custom friction value into NoLimits to make it run as a steel coaster would. I do think that a topper track conversion would be a better choice though, but RMC hasn't done such a think yet so thats why I decided to go with an IBox conversion.
  16. Unfortunately it's not leaked plans All my imagination. Although we can hope it becomes real someday!
  17. It actually can run 3 trains effeciently due to the length of the layout, similar to how Banshee runs 3 trains.
  18. I created a RMC version of Mean Streak
  19. According to @great_american_coasters on Instagram, it's going to be an all blue track with orange supports.
  20. El Toro-I try to imagine how intense the airtime must be flying over those hills TTD- I love the launch audio
  21. This. Aw. I was hoping to be able to join my first TPR tour this year. Hopefully something will come about, if not, 2016 will be a great year.
  22. 1. Streaming 2. Youtube and Netflix 3. 0 4. None, just my laptop or phone 5. YouTube mainly. I'll watch YouTube daily and maybe 1 movie every other week.
