  1. Actually had to explain that to my mom last night, in addition to the fact they ended up cheering for Lemieux. What year did he win the Cup as a player, was it '92?
  2. Oh dear God, that SCAD tower might be the scariest theme park attraction I've ever seen. But I'd still do it 'cause it just looks so freaking amazing. Dan "If I pass out, just push me over!" Smith
  3. That last picture reminds me of the warning signs from "Airplane!"... Dan "Putana Da Seatbeltz!" Smith
  4. This park just looks amazing. Just... wow. Cameron, this might just be my new priority for July! Dan "I've always wanted to try 'Fascination'!" Smith
  5. I noticed that this year as well. Last year I thought it was gonna be like the Freedom Festival has become and mostly centered on Detroit (though Windsor still has the carnival and equally great view as the other side of the river of the fireworks), but it surprised me just how much coverage we received on the Canadian side. Still don't know why they wouldn't have gone with Windsor/Detroit again this year, though. Billboards advertising Windsor as the sole host city have been up for a couple of months now, including two I saw in Michigan. Dan "Being a half-hour away from Windsor actually holds an advantage for once, instead of just ruining our county air!" Smith
  6. I had no idea Disney had done some marketing like that for the film! Awesome. Does the Bryan-less Adam Show still have the same delicious refreshment of Coke?
  7. I'd definitely pay $16 for the opportunity to get those kind of shots! Thanks, Adam. (Slash Bryan. Can this be considered an official unofficial Bryan and Adam Show off-season update?) P.S. I wonder if the house from 'Up' could ever be used like this. (Smaller capacity and a lot less helium balloons, but whatever.)
  8. Looks like our area gave such a good reception last year that it's back again for this weekend... I was only reminded of this as I just saw one of the race planes fly overhead! (The yellow Breitling one... Nigel Lamb, according to my past self up there.) Must be using airspace over the county for their practice runs. Dan "Photos to come of this Saturday's time trials!" Smith
  9. This is just amazing. Have a great time, folks, 'cause people on this side of the pond DEMAND it! EDIT: Holy crap, Terry! I'm at least glad you got there eventually, but... yeesh.
  10. Shane's Amusement Attic sure helped... 18/20.
  11. ^^Grouping Woodstock Express and Wildcat was a brilliant move, even if it was alphabetical. ^Do you count separate park credits if everything's closed due to weather conditions versus open?
  12. ^Most of them go past fifteen. P.S. Funny how the sickeningly cutesy names for CP coasters end at "Draggie".
  13. C'mon, Steak n' Shake. You're better than this. // Says the guy who gets a Half-N-Half chocolate mint and orange freeze
  14. Because then it wouldn't work in the rain! Wait a minute, this is Cedar Point we're talking about. Nothing works in the rain! *zing* Cedar Fair has so far neither confirmed nor denied an errant trash bin, overzealous fanboys, or Kinzel voodoo magic as the cause of the cable snap.
  15. If the cable keeps breaking, why doesn't the park just switch to satellite already?
  16. "I told her I was doing it on a dare." "Thank you, TPR!" There is nothing sentient that could compare to this level of awesomeness. Except perhaps if said sentient being were drinking a delicious/refreshing Coca-Cola Classic.
  17. I'd have thought something like pronouncing "Talladega", and it looks like Scott confirmed it. Also, my general favourite seat is the first row of the last car, but of all the wooden coasters I've ridden (see: 9) I've always chosen the very front row out of fear of becoming a broken cadaver in any other. Dan "I need to ride an Intamin woodie, pronto!" Smith
  18. It's really some great work you're doing there; the world could use more organizations like this. Nice job on the site, too! (Note: In the OP, the link technically ends with the period of the sentence, so it doesn't actually give the page.) Seriously, this is an amazing thing you're doing, and best of luck!
  19. Good Lord, those are some hilarious captions. Thanks for sharing.
  20. This might only be better if it happened at Bon Bon Land. Oh, and congratulations, unnamed men in their 30's, for beating up a guy half your age.
  21. I have "Herd of Cows" every time I visit. Also: I happen to really like Maverick (don't get out much...?) but that comment was awesome.
  22. I would say something about Ty, but IIRC he doesn't like the cola anyway...
  23. It's certainly a thing of beauty. // MUST get out there by the end of this year
