  1. For once, shaking my fist menacingly won't do a bit of good since you're already there. Have fun, guys!
  2. Conan just mentioned the Wisconsin State Fair, and I'm slightly ashamed that I laughed for a whole minute. But not really.
  3. From my PB post: The fastest coffee shop in the world? (Not at CP, that's for damn sure.) I sincerely hope they replace Mean Streak with a GCI woodie. If it's brewing we're after, I vote for Moonshine: The Ride.
  4. This entire trip just looks effing amazing. Thanks for sharing the insanity!
  5. Aah, yes. Maybe it was the structure at the top of the WoF one that threw me off.
  6. From what I understand, in order to back up onto the switch, the driver must manually override the system which would otherwise trigger proximity sensors for an automatic shutdown.
  7. I was actually gonna say I've never seen a dual S&S tower; I've only ever seen them with 1, 3 or 4.
  8. Oh, the flashbacks... the unrelenting awesome flashbacks...
  9. All I can picture from that first pic is having this game include a final battle with Cthulhu. Dan "WTF, but in a good way" Smith
  10. You guys visited western-themed parks without me? I'm simultaneously hating and loving this TR.
  11. ^You should ask where they put the leftover 50th anniversary decorations and have yourself a REAL party.
  12. HD video of footage shot by Tony from the second cherry-picker:
  13. So what were the other search terms you Googled before this? Oh, and happy birthday!
  14. ^So did I... I almost always catch those, let alone on my own typing! I'm losing my touch! Dan "Thrice if I take a week off?" Smith
  15. I can't do it TWICE in a row NOW! Dan "Been going to the chiropractor since I was 15" Smith
  16. I want pictures of this event! (Well, not on-ride, but... you know.)
  17. ^That'd be Ron "Tater Salad" White. Here in Southwestern Ontario, it's a real crapshoot for weather. I live in the southernmost part of Canada, and storms have a habit of dying as soon as they hit the Detroit River; conversely, you can always count on some fierce storms in the London/Waterloo area an hour or two north of here. Dan "Frustrated severe weather enthusiast" Smith
  18. While I still would've taken shelter, I'd be playing the theme in my head the entire time... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9klixu7zRIo
  19. ^I followed that viral marketing and liked it; last year's, Find815... not so much.
  20. ...He laid down on the wire? Now that's pretty insane, "more area covering the wire = possible better balance" nonwithstanding. I wonder if they confiscated any loose articles of his beforehand...
  21. I actually AM aspiring to be a meteorologist, and I say the same thing. Great TR! Dan "Tonight's forecast: dark." Smith
  22. And yet, I'm almost certain that fanboys would clamor for a rollback, despite the fact that it would happen every time.
  23. My love for theme parks and severe weather combine for a perfect storm, as it were... Considering it barely takes any time for a twister to increase in intensity, let alone form, I would've followed through with my original plan and sought shelter!
