Okay, a new amusement park opens but it's built on your property and only senior citizens and children are allowed to visit I wish for my home park to get some new additions to the Dining Pass this season -

Thank you! Means alot --- Saturday May 1st, 1999 Opening Day/Mr. Freeze opens The day has finally arrived. Mr. Freeze opens today! Everyone made a beeline (More like a mad dash) towards Gotham Backlot. EVERYONE I still love the entrance As stated in the ride announcement in the Whitehall Gazette, Mr. Freeze's queue passes directly below Aquaman Splashdown. The greenery around the queue looks beautiful Unfortunately, the other side of the station was dispatched first so I was not on the first official train The first train coming back into the station. After this it would slide over to the track on the left and my train would slide over to the launch track to dispatch. This was taken a few seconds before the launch Sweet mother of... .... I almost went deaf due to the amount of screaming from the teenage girl sitting behind me The top hat stall felt seriously insane WOW! That was honestly one of the most intense coasters I've been on. The launch, top hat, overbank, and 218 ft. spike all kicked major ass, especially when traversed backwards. Theming is on point as well. Easily my #1 at the park. You may have noticed that some of Mr. Freeze's queue replaced the seating area for Crimewave Cafe. It has been relocated to the other side of the restaurant and now sports some nice looking teal tables Gotham Gear has received a complete overall to support the opening of Mr. Freeze Pretty much every other ride in the park was DEAD is a great park The view from inside Ship Dip's cabin Don't worry Verdugo, you're still my 2nd favorite ride at the park Finished the night on Grand Stand. Looking forward to a great 1999 season! ---Jacob Karse--- ---

Viper is an excellent coaster, easily my #2 at the park. Back row, right side. Yeah. Pretty decently themed for a Six Flags ride, too. The only thing that sucks about it is that the station can get pretty clustered making it hard to plan out where you and your group are going to sit, but that doesn't impact the ride itself. Btw Eugene, why does Revolution "need to go"? It's arguably one the park's most popular flat rides. In fact, on peak days it often gets a full queue. A Skyscreamer could fill one of the many voids in the park (Sky Trail, for example) before replacing an existing ride. Even if they were to take out something for one, they most likely wouldn't remove a popular ride with few mechanical issues.

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?

For the first time in 146 years, no snow in January OR February in Chicago! Well, unless you count an (unrecorded) .1 inches of snow -
--- Tuesday December 15th, 1998 Mr. Freeze announced Wow, this is quite the exciting addition! Unlike the installations at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis, this Mr. Freeze will have lap-bar restraints rather than OTSRs. In case you're wondering, this one will also have a dual-loading station to decrease wait times and increase capacity. Here are some pictures from the Press Release: This is what Mr. Freeze's entrance will look like. It will be right between Aquaman Splashdown's entrance and Crimewave Cafe. Actually, the queue goes under Aquaman's structure and caused the removal of the seating area for Crimewave. Mr. Freeze's station will be themed to an abandoned ice cream factory named Snowy's The 105 ft. overbank The launch tunnel. I personally can't wait to ride this. Can 1999 come any sooner? ---Jacob Karse---

Thank you! The announcement will be on Tuesday February 28th --- Saturday October 24th, 1998 Closing Weekend Welcome to the last operating day of the 1998 season The advertisements at the front gate reminded me that I hadn’t been on Connecticut Cruisers in a while And what a better day to cruise through the Connecticut forests than today? STOP! and enjoy the view Unlike most rides, Hurricane runs fastest in the fall The red and yellow leaves looked wonderful The Lost Rapids has ceased operations early this year due to unusually cold fall weather I picked up an Italian sub for lunch I hope Orleans Grille gets a new paintjob next year. It’s starting to noticeably fade. It looks like The Tower of Doom will only be the 3rd tallest structure in the park next year Harley Quinn's Spinsanity, The Tower of Doom, or the Joker Inc.? I’ve got a feeling this will look alot cooler next year What is your favorite coaster inversion? Haunted Ranch is a great family attraction My last meal of the year was a spicy chicken taco from Cocina Picante What's with the weird fire-stripes on El Scrambler? Grand Stand got stuck on the lift hill, preventing me from getting my final ride this year Bedrock Boulder Roller pales in size compared to Ferris Wheel Reminds me of a place in Illinois called “Kiddieland”, Man, I haven’t been there since 1986! Boy do I feel old. You know it’s fall when Scream Machine’s fog misters are turned on Thanks for a great 1998! I can't wait to ride the new coaster next year! ---Jacob Karse--- ---

Six Flags Great America: 1. X-Flight - looks kickass, water effects need to come back 2. Goliath - ^ 3. V2 - Yellow track + Dark blue supports is a cool color scheme 4. Batman: The Ride - Always thought it looked pretty nice, though the black would've been better imo 5. Whizzer - suits the foresty area it sit's in and looks great 6. Spacely's Sprocket Rockets - I honestly like the white track + green supports lol 7. Viper - Classic 8. Demon - nice colors 9. The Dark Knight - Yes, an indoor coaster is ranked at #9 out of 15 because most of the coasters in this park look like sh*t 10. Raging Bull - Best coaster at the park (Opinion), dried out color scheme. It'd look better if they gave it a touch up, or maybe if they changed the support color to red. 11./12 Both sides of American Eagle - needs paints 13. Little Dipper - I preferred the original color scheme at Kiddieland 14. Joker - In the minority here but I don't care for the theme or colors. 15. Superman - Hasn't been painted since 2003.... The funny thing is that all the coasters that have been removed from the park had the best color schemes. (Shockwave, Deja Vu, Iron Wolf, etc.)
