Someone correct me if I am wrong, but they usually open Memorial Day weekend. I know I was watching the Web came a few days ago, and you could see shoot the rapids running. According to CedarPoint.com: Shoot the rapids is open, and will close for the season on September 7th. OPERATING NOTE: Thunder Canyon is now closed for the season, as it transforms into CornStalkers! (Surely that's just needing updating.) -
I must admit that the concept art looks fantastic, and I am sure this coaster will be a great addition to the park. I mean it is Busch Gardens... They pretty much do a great job with all their new attractions... However I must admit this is not enough of a new addition to make me want to plan a trip to Florida. . . I'm just going to keep waiting and hoping that Gwazi gets an RMC makeover... That will be enough for me to want to go back to the park!!

I like this feature as well, I wonder if there will be some kind of water element to splash the guest and interact with the ride like MANTA? Nope, it says on their website. No splash or water features. This is a 100% dry ride. Really?? Manta is a 100% dry ride, yet it still features its water feature. Even Manta at Sea World San Diego has a water effect, yet is a 100% dry ride. A water effect does not necessarily mean the riders have to get wet. Knowing Sea World, and how they theme their rides, I am 100% positive there will be a nice water feature there... and I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

Wait times on a Friday/Saturday in mid to late June are going to be on the high end. A lot of people hitting the park for summer vacation. If I were you I would get a hotel, and Fast Lane Plus for both days. However, that adds up fast. If you wanted to make it a one day trip, and still get to do everything without having to wait... Consider doing a VIP tour. You could get everything done in one day, all of your food and drink is included, and you would not have to wait for anything. A VIP Tour is the only way to make Cedar Point a one day trip! Either way you go you're still going to have a great visit! -
I can't wait for the announcement. Any new coaster is a plus for this park, especially when it is a hyper coaster! I personally do not care if it is a B&M or not. B&M makes really good... really smooth... really re-rideable coasters with high capacity, which might be just what the park is looking for. Regardless, Can't wait for tomorrow!!

Kumdori Land being demolished

Sad to see the park closing. It may not have been a *great* park, but it was a park regardless. You never want to see a park having financial issues. Also, even though it was a Vekoma... It looked like it would have been fun... Not amazing, but fun! It looked like an interesting layout for a Vekoma. I found the pre-drop rather unique! -
Intamin Accelerator Coaster. Cedar Point, or Six Flags Magic Mountain?

For me it's The Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Not just because it is the tallest building, but because it is beautiful.

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but what is with all the rave about a night ride on Beast? I only ask because we have booked a trip to Kings Island, and Cedar Point, and I am trying to figure out if it is worth staying late enough at the park for a night ride on beast, which will put us really late getting to our hotel at Cedar Point. -

Okay, maybe I am just over thinking this, but look how the arrows at the top of this timeline continue pointing to the right, and how it seems to have an open end above Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Do we think that maybe through the season the will periodically add a new coaster "sign" to the timeline, leading up to finally adding a sign for the new coaster, at or after the time of the official announcement? Just a thought, but it would be cool to see the timeline progress like that, and would be a really awesome touch by from the park. -
When we travel we always stay at IHG properties. There is a nice Holiday Inn Express on Green Mountain drive. It's a bit of a drive to the park, but it's close to the main Branson strip. It's a nice hotel, with really comfortable beding, and pillows. Nice breakfast too. I highly recommended this hotel.
