  1. ^^^I'm hoping for that. SDL was one of the smoothest coasters I have been on since they popped on the Gerstlauers. The article mentioned special effects. I'm hoping that that doesn't mean that they're gonna throw flame throwers and audio on the ride to let it break in a month.
  2. ^The episode doesn't revolve around the villain Bizarro anyways. They used the term Bizarro to mean opposite in a way. I'm very glad to see Superman return. The park really let Bizarro go to crap quickly. Hopefully they can take care of it this time. (What am I kidding? This is Six Flags we're talking about)
  3. I have heard complaints about every coaster that's been added in the last few years. Valravn, Gatekeeper, this, Goliath... and the list goes on and on. A clone just gives people even more of a reason to whine. Just be happy you're getting a coaster at all. I haven't been able to say the same for my home park in many years.
  4. Ooooh that's gotta be quite the show. How'd that Miller trade work out? Just poking fun since I live in the Buffalo area. I'm a die hard Red Wings fan anyways. Back on topic, the Larson Loops are actually underrated rides. Most people thought that they would be horrible carny trash, but I actually found them to be quite enjoyable. Definitely a big surprise. The lights are nice too.
  5. Can you tell me where the nearest Coasters R Us is located. I need one of those bad boys for my backyard.
  6. I want to believe it's fake and the surprise isn't spoiled, but that looks really good. If it is real, the colors look good, but why would they go with the small model again? It would be a lot more marketable if it were longer and had more flips. I'm hearing a lot of good things though, so I bet this will be a hit.
  7. Welp, that pretty much confirms it unless they're really screwing with us.
  8. ^ If it's like X it will also go way over budget and open months later than expected. Six Flags for the win!
  9. ^So I'm stupid for speculating and making a guess based on the teaser? I guess that makes all of us stupid....
  10. Does that mean it will also have a sound system and flamethrower that will work for a month?
  11. The park already did Batman backwards, so unlikely. Maybe it's a Joker retheme of Batman. Like SFNE did to Bizarro a few years ago.
  12. Legally, that may be the case. What Lucas did was wrong and he is getting punished for it. It is pretty funny that the investors believed him though. If it were me, I wouldn't be throwing around money unless I was completely sure Disney was building.
  13. So these people just shed millions of dollars on land, all because a guy that looks like the Walley World security guard told them that Disney was going to build there? Okay, that's on them. Always check your sources first. The fault is on them for believing this guy.
  14. I doubt it. They wouldn't add two coasters in a row, and there would be large land clearing by now. The "Tx 3" teaser makes believe that the addition will be a flat package. Possibly a Larson Loop, an Air Race, and a looping Frisbee model that was rumored. All of those rides go upside down though, so they will probably add at least one that doesn't to balance it out.
  15. I have to wake up early anyways, so it wasn't a big deal for me. I was hoping that they would post them before I got to work, so I could have some time to see them, which they did. I could not concentrate at all that day.
  16. They did last year. I remember waking up extra early to get ready, but they were already up on the site. I hope they do this again, I think a few years ago they did one at noon.
  17. ^^True... I meant that more in the GP's eyes. Every time somebody mentions Nitro all I hear is "Train ___ has a rattle!! It's the end of the world!!!"
  18. Have you ridden both of them? The ride experience is *totally* different. Skyrush is a succession of hills, airtime, and twists, while I305 is a succession of turns, transitions, and a couple hills for good measure. The ride each of them gives is totally different from each other, not to mention train design/experience. I have, and I didn't do a good job of wording that. I meant to say that they are close on an intensity level. Both of them are built purely for the thrill seekers and nothing else. Both of them have their share of airtime, curves (I was thrown around a lot on Skyrush), and quick transitions. A B&M can be built big too, but they are much more graceful, and can fit a larger audience. Not everyone can ride I305 or Skyrush because it is either too much for them, or the restraints don't conform well to them. I have never heard anybody complaining about the comfort or re-rideability on a B&M.
  19. As much a I love Skyrush and wouldn't mind 5 of them at any park, it's probably too close to I305.
  20. I think somebody already suggested it, but they could slap Aquaman onto Tsunami Soaker, maybe Flash on V2. For the Go Karts maybe Justice League 500 or something.
  21. I'm thinking it was for the same reason why Beaver Bros, Boomerang, and later Motocoaster were built there. They wanted to bring more people to the Darien Square area of the park. Twister is the only one that wasn't successful with that because of its awkward location, and most people forget about it; it is down so much.
  22. This update did not really impact my performance at all, so I'm happy with that. If anything it maybe gave it a bit of a boost. Looking at Tango, I'm still getting 30+ fps.
  23. I don't believe anything anymore until I see it. There have been too many people saying they "have seen corporate talking in the park" or have "insider sources giving them information". How many users have there been on this thread alone that join, post some rumor claiming they know somebody important, then disappear once they realize their "rumor" (really just pipedreams) didn't come true. I'll just be overwatching the real sources (that don't always make thing public) for any new information. - The assessor's office will publish a sale of the property pretty soon after it is made - The planning board will publish notes from meetings and documents of any plans - Local newspapers/websites sometimes get information first and make small leaks hidden within articles
  24. It's a shame that they stopped making coasters, because that will likely be the death of them. Although their trains are so widely used, there are other options now that require less maintenance and ride more comfortable.
  25. That's just nuts. I understand the parks have to make money, but come on.. $60 for a family of four to eat? Give people a break.
