  1. the big question is this: should B&M and Intamin standups get sit down trains?
  2. Q: How do you spell "torture device" with only 4 letters? A: TOGO Q: How do you spell "was wood meant to twist that way?" with only 3 letters? A: RMC Q: Why is the death machine at SFOG called "Ninja"? A: it feels like you are being karate chopped in the side of the head the whole time!
  3. Q: What goes "clickclickclickclickOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!" A: a Vekoma Think you can do better? Post yours below!
  4. Woodstock Express Intimidator at Carowinds or Goliath at SFOG?
  5. No Q, so... Raptor!
  6. Rides I've Been on 10: Georgia Scorcher 9: Carolina Cobra 8: Goliath (when used for large coasters) 7: Dare Devil Dive 6: Nighthawk (what, it sounds cool!) 5: Expedition Everest 4: Mind Bender 3: Afterburn 2: Intimidator 1: HURLER!
  7. Vekomas with gen-1/Arrow trains. The only thing worse is a TOGO.
  8. Smooth out the brakes on GASM at SFOG Carolina Cobra style Gen-2 trains for Ninja at SFOG Takabisha style drop for Dare Devil Dive (but at 122 degrees ) Iron Horse-ify Georgia Cyclone, complete with batshit insane inversions and loads of Remove the trim on Goliath at SFOG (not sure what effect it has, but trims are bad. unless they help you survive otherwise lethal elements) Smooth out the brakes on Mind Bender (that is the only change that should ever be made to that ride)
  9. I'd take an RMC woodie with all of the unique elements from Outlaw Run and SFGAM Goliath. I might barely have enough room for said ride if all those stupid trees weren't there (maybe use them as wood for the ride?)
  10. The second tallest ride at SFOG is Ninja. the Canyon Blaster at SFOG is probably the worlds fastest kiddie coaster (fun fact: grown men riding the SFOG Canyon Blaster are not considered "sad and pathetic") Ninja at SFOG's layout was allegedly the basis for that of the SLC
  11. I read somewhere that Ninja at SFOG uses the SLC layout adapted for normal trains and with corkscrews instead of barrel rolls. I find that weird.
  12. Ninja at SFOG, and that was WITH my custom brace position!
  13. Boomerang: Carolina Cobra Flying Dutchman: Nighthawk (fliers are the 1 thing Vekoma does better than B&M, IMO) Mine train: not sure if this counts or not, but Expedition Everest (doesn't use the clone layout) Haven't been on any of the others, although I have heard that SFOG's Ninja is a standard sit down version of the SLC except for the corkscrews.
  14. Adventure Express (you will pay, you will pay, you will pay)
  15. Couldn't be any worse than SFOG Ninja. What if Manhattan Express, Ninja at SFOG, and Godourix (spelling?) where combined into one coaster?
  16. I for one am more excited about the one in Atlanta, because I might get to ride that one frequently!
  17. I happen to be aware of more than 1 form, and personally invented #999 If you have an opinion on commentary on POVS (I have no problem with it) If you have a favorite manufacturer If you are aware that good Vekomas exist, and use them as evidence the bad ones shouldn't hurt so badly If you think the SLC would be a great way to interrogate criminals ("please, not the Mind Eraser again, I'll tell you where the body is!") If you thought "yeah, but a TOGO stand up would work better" in response to that last one If you have debated the merits of floater airtime ala B&M Hyper vs ejector air ala RMC/Intamin
  18. Iron Rattler
  19. B&M Goodness
  20. Kingda Ka
  21. /\ didn't do Dinosaurs Alive when I was at Carowinds, too busy with Nighthawk and Intimidator. < thinks every park should have at least one RMC \/ thinks RMCs are overrated
