  1. /\ hasn't been to cedar point < there are 2 types of coaster enthusiast: those who have been to Cedar Point and those who want to go. I am in group 2. \/ has been a victim of at least 15 different Vekomas (multiple boomerangs and SLCs count)
  2. not unless it's the alleged "world's smoothest Vekoma" Should more wooden coasters get the "Hades 360 treatment" (with full retracking, that is)?
  3. I wonder if there could be a wooden coaster with a beyond vertical drop?
  4. Why the heck not? A credit's a credit regardless of the massive pain suffered Is the sort-of barrel roll on the second hill on Outlaw Run an inversion?
  5. Oddly enough, I actually had that idea earlier today
  6. yes, because Vekoma made Expedition Everest, one of my top 5 coasters. Do you think Six Flags made a bad decision by deciding to close Iron Rattler as well as NTAG despite the fact that no accident occurred on Iron Rattler?
  7. You might be a coaster nerd if you gave serious thought as to if the weird thing on top of Outlaw Run's second hill is an inversion or not You might be a coaster nerd if you know the meaning of the and emoticons You might be a coaster nerd if you wish SFOG would stop saying Mindbender has 3 loops (it has 2 loops and a weird element that doesn't even count as an inversion. either way, one of the best coasters I have ridden) You might be a coaster nerd if you look for the footers after a park announces a new coaster You might be a coaster nerd if you correct people when they say Gemini/NTAG/Iron Rattler is a wooden coaster You might be a coaster nerd if you have developed an effective Vekoma brace position (head out in front of OTSRs works pretty well for me) You might be a coaster nerd if, after exiting a ride, you have thought "does this count as a credit?" You might be a coaster nerd if you know the track styles certain manufacturers use you might be a coaster nerd if you plan on yelling "YOLO" during the launch (or launches) on Full Throttle you might be a coaster nerd if you count credits (40 for me, with 9 more credits planned) you might be a coaster nerd if you visit this sight frequently
  8. Ninja at SFOG, Ninja at SFOG, oh, and Ninja at SFOG. (and not just because I have yet to suffer through an SLC or TOGO yet either.)
  9. Billboards placed along the ride with loads of trims added so you can read them What's worse than mandatory ERT on a TOGO stand up wooden coaster?
  10. a ridable Togo stand up boomerang
  11. Falling off Full Throttle at the top of Loopzilla, then getting nailed by the train. What's worse than a TOGO stand-up with SLC OTSRS?
  12. Lucy's Crabbie Cabbies at Carowinds
  13. Only riding TOGOs and Vekomas What's worse than riding Ninja at SFOG?
  14. Awesome coasters that never open on time What if B&M made a wooden coaster?
  15. if you go out of your way to ride EVERY coaster when you visit an amusement park (did this at Carowinds and SFOG) If your dream vacation involves roller coasters as a main attraction (guilty) If the first thing you would add to most theme parks would be MORE COASTERS! If you ever rode a coaster you knew was awful so you could snag the credit (pretty much every time I have been seen boarding a Vekoma)
  16. I heard someone say they enjoyed Ninja (SFOG)
  17. Ninja at SFOG: Refit it with Carolina Cobra restraints to remove the main issue with the ride Scream Machine at SFOG: retracking is in order, DO NOT alter the ride itself. Mindbender at SFOG: stop saying it has 3 inversions in press material, and make the final brake run less sudden. (either way, this coaster is awesome!) Georgia Cyclone: light it on fire, and when it is reduced to ashes, build a better coaster. Hurler at Carowinds: Hurler 360, anyone? (yes, really.) Carolina Cyclone: rename it Carolina Corkscrew Expedition Everest: make the headrests less painful. (not vekoma levels of skull tenderization, but close)
