  1. I'd believe it. I'd found this on a Youtube video. I won't post the the link since the video was illegally taped, but there's a deer hanging outside the fence.
  2. You shouldn't judge a ride and say it's overrated if you haven't ridden it. But to answer your questions, yes, especially at night. The Raven really comes alive at night.
  3. ^ Lmao there's nothing you can do to get rid of them. The PokemonGo app accesses Google Maps and puts the gyms and such at random places on the map. I posted about this in the Holiday World thread, but they're actually assigning employees to help guests find the pokemon gyms in the park lol. They also posted a blog encouraging people to play in the park, but also reinforcing the rules and services of the park: http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/2016/07/12/what-to-know-about-pokemon-go/
  4. From the Kings Island Thread: The wood shown in that photo is not of a high enough grade to be used for a wooden coaster. Neither was the wood for Son Of Beast. But you didn't see that stopping them from building that hunk of trash.
  5. If the RMC rumors are true, I think Cedar Fair might have a different outlook on these conversions than Six Flags. Six Flags looks at these conversions as "brand new rides", which they essentially are. Cedar Fair might be looking at these conversions as a remodeling of an existing ride, which is true too. If they advertise it as a remodeling of Mean Streak, there is no need to for them to set any records for them to see a return on their investment. Cedar Fair and Knotts were able to sell the remodeling of Ghostrider and just glancing at the Knotts thread, it looks as if the ride is pulling an hour plus line consistently since it's re-opened (I say that with no prior knowledge to how the lines for GR were before it closed for the remodeling, so someone please let me know if the ride had similar wait times before.)
  6. So sometimes I randomly do a Holiday World search on Twitter to see if anybody posts something interesting about the park (I know, I have no life). This was one of the first ones I read and I found this to be funny and sad at the same time. Out of respect to the poster, I'm just posting what he wrote.
  7. ^ You should probably call the park or send them an email and ask.
  8. ^ After everyone goes into the waterpark, yes. The Raven and Legend will get huge lines at rope drop. Thunderbird will always have a good sized line. It'll be at it's shortest mid-day.
  9. It'll probably depend on the weather. If there's a chance of rain, I'd say it won't be as busy as usual. Lol yep.
  10. ^ It's only July. Big water attractions like Mammoth and Wildebeest were announced in August. Mid-sized attractions like Mayflower or Hyena Falls were announced in September and October. If they can tie a theme into the announcement like they did for The Mayflower (they announced it on Mayflower day), they will do that. I honestly hope they do something with the former PP site. It just looks out of place without an attraction there.
  11. ^ HW responded to someone on Twitter and said they're looking into why the camera is down. Looks like a big storm blew through earlier at the park. The camera may have been struck by lightning.
  12. ^ I don't think any chain would consider a park where they've committed nearly 50 million dollars in expansion over a three year period to be second tier.
  13. So the wonderful people over at IOE, the people who most notably supply controls for the RMC rides (of course I also believe they do work for GCI as well, so it could just be the KI woodie) just posted this on their Facebook page:
  14. Found these two videos after I discovered that this guy stole one of my NoLimits2 videos:
  15. ^^ The park definitely did the right thing. Safety should always be first. ^Honestly it was probably some nut job just trying to start stupid s**t. Once he turned in the backpack to lost and found and told them he thought it was suspicious, they had no choice but to follow protocol. I mean seriously, how many unattended bags get turned into lost and found everyday? HW also does bag checks (I'm aware it's not a bullet proof system). The fact that you even have to go through a security bag check in place like Santa Claus, Indiana should tell you there is something wrong with this world. The state police are now telling the local news that the whole situation was blown out of proportion. http://www.14news.com/story/32351086/holiday-world-evacuated-due-to-bomb-threat And it was just clothes in the backpack: http://www.wlky.com/news/holiday-world-evacuated-after-unattended-backpack-found/40304924?src=app
  16. ^ Bomb threat. Must be really serious as they evacuated the entire park immediately. Nobody was allowed to get their stuff or anything. They're offering free tickets to those who are at the park (even though the park only had and hour and half of operation left) and will let people back in to get their stuff if they're still there (Edit: I guess they're bringing their stuff to the front gate). I assume it's Paula who is really trying to stay on top of everything on social media and I commend her for what seems like an impossible task. http://www.wdrb.com/story/32350911/bomb-squad-on-scene-at-holiday-world-after-unattended-backpack-found From what I can gather (This is what the park has officially stated): A guest turned in an unattended backpack that seemed suspicious and the bomb squad was called into inspect it.
  17. I find it astonishing that this was the number 1 trend on Facebook yesterday (well at least my Facebook page).
  18. ^ Probably because there are bigger forces exerted on the back of the train in the valley's. Anyone else notice this firework photo on HW's FB? I approve of more photos like this!
  19. ^ I'm gonna get all technical here lol. It doesn't have the right magnetic brakes to match up with what Thunderbird has. If it's launched the brake fins should look something like this:
  20. Out in the woods they really don't care how much it squeals. It's never nearly as loud when the trains goes around the station. Its really bad on the 90 degree turns.
  21. ^ That would be a challenge for Ride Centerline. They've already designed two coasters in the park and would be tasked with creating another coaster with a different and unique experience from LR and SC.
  22. ^ So they track how many people attend the waterpark by having them go through the turnstiles as they leave? Why not as they enter? Getting in should be the hard part, not leaving lol
  23. ^ Pulled these two screenshots from HW's last FB live video. You can watch the full thing her for a more clear shot.
  24. PTC trains and turns just don't really go together lol. The only way to stop the squeaking is to grease the track and I bet there is only so much grease to go around for all three woodies in the park. It really isn't that annoying when you're in the park. You just hear The Legend more than others because it goes over some of the queue lines in the waterpark. Ahh that's what I was talking about. I guess I was right lol.
