I think Intamin will probably make airtime out of almost every twist, just like what RMC does. -

That's when the lap bars release and riders fall onto the inflatable cushion underneath. -
Euro Attractions Show 2015

In Asia Attraction Expo, RMC was in Vekoma booth. Vekoma had a photo of Outlaw Run at the back of their booth. It was not very visible unfortunately. It's probably the same for EAS I guess. -

This might be the most challenging terrain for a coaster's construction I guess? Good luck to the RMC and Kolmården team, hope everything goes smoothly. -

It's impractical to launch a train through a super high hill and create a second hill that's even higher. During initial testing and when a launch fails will cause a gigantic amount of headache as the train will valley. ^^Cant wait to see the pictures! -

I think so too. It would make more sense if they turn down the intensity so that people can appreciate the beauty of this thing during their ride. After all you will never notice Maverick's footer when you're rushing through everything. Plus a bigger portion of their visitors can actually ride it. Never been on Cheetah Hunt, but I think it would be perfect if Taron's intensity is between Cheetah Hunt and Maverick, slightly more towards Cheetah Hunt's side. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
gerstlaueringvar replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Short trip report of our visit yesterday: First of all Kings Island was amazing! Great job Cedar Fair! It was cold and raining yesterday so the crowd was very low. FoF 3 trains wait on front row with 2 trains, FireHawk 4 trains wait with both stations, Banshee 2 trains wait for front row with 3-train-operation, Diamondback 2 trains wait for second row with 3-train-operation, Backlot Stunt 8-10 trains wait with 2-train-operation. Beast night ride front row 45 minutes with 3-train-operation. Thank you KI for opening up everything in the rain possible. I hit my #250 on Banshee, oh what a great ride! I know I've been bashing B&M for the past few years but this one is extraordinary. Sorry Batman clones but Banshee is better than you. (Slightly better but till better) Banshee is currently in my top 10, kicked Superman Krypton Coaster out of my top 10 and stands as my favorite B&M. But I might have to rethink that after a few months when the excited phase has passed. Beast night ride was just insane! It was rainy the whole day so the train was going very fast, much faster than on any video I've watched. It lived up to the hype IMO and sits as my 2nd favorite woodie between Outlaw Run and Goliath. Operation wise, Banshee crew was doing magic and around 2/5 of the trains had to slow down on the lift. The other rides are going pretty slow but still better than SFGAm. As for the haunts, we did the Board game one and Delta Delta Die. Both have quite high quality but the scariest thing were actually the scare actors everywhere around the park, especially Planet Snoopy. Here are some of the photos: Gummy bear on Racer's track... Banshee doing her thing. The shape of the first loop looks so weird! You can literally tell they used coat hangers! What a waste of money! Group photo! Chris, Zach, Matt, me had the Lift motor! Oh Vekoma! This thing stucked like this for a few minutes. FireHawk is very good, I prefer it to Superman clones. They light up the Eiffle Tower like this at night. Thank you Kings Island for a wonderful day! Vortex! -
Starry Sky Ripper is awesome, Superman clones are meh. But I'm pretty sure Universal knows exactly what they are looking for and this will be awesome. Even if it's a boring coaster like Superman, it will still be so heavily themed that Crystal Wing will seem cheap as crap. Plus it's in Japan so that automatically makes it better...

^Except this thing launches in the water, is easier to load and can hold 24 riders per boat. -

It's a great concept, but maybe incorporate it into a water ride would be more attracting. Parks probably won't invest $15 million for a launch speed boat, but a $25 million racing launched water coaster with great theme, on board audio and more would definitely draw crowd.
