Actually Gerstlauer's chain lift is more like Intamin's cable lift. Just let the chain replaces the cable.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only vertical lift coasters with traditional lift system might be Toboggans(including knock-offs), HRRR, SBF's tower coaster(Including the knock-offs)
Remember read about Cedar Point at a local newspaper. They said GateKeeper is the world's longest coaster with a 170ft drop and 7 inversions. I'm sorry, I would ignore it if it's something said by a GP but as public media, at least they should make things accurate! I don't consider a helix as an inversion.
I suggest everyone take a break from the discussion about whether it's wood or steel and appreciate that Alan Schilke and RMC brought this to real life. Without them, our definition of wooden coaster would still stick to GG's way or Intamin's way. They brought crappy giant woodies back to life with Iron Horse treatment and turn wooden coaster upside down multiple times very naturally. Goliath is already inspiring enough with the original support but before this, who can imagine i305 and SkyRush like support would appear on a wooden coaster?
Still remember when I first rode Motor Coaster back to 2006, that's when I first heard about Vekoma is a terrible company and I thought their rides aren't safe because there is no seat belts. I held on extremely tight during the whole ride.
