  1. Park was way too crowded for my tastes today. I walked around for an hour and left.
  2. ^ Trust us, you're not going to have any issues fitting all that into your day, assuming Stinger is operating.
  3. There's already a thread on this farther down the page: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=71886
  4. Tried to stop by late this evening for the ERT, but the wristbands were only handed out from 12-3. Didn't really matter, lines for the hour I was there were non-existent so I got my Nitro fill in, anyway. I saw a couple of these around the park, also. Are these new, or have I just missed them this whole time? I think they're a great addition.
  5. Awesome news! Those original restraints, while they never made the rides painful, definitely were a bit uncomfortable for taller guys with larger upper–body dimensions like myself. Can't wait to give these a try!
  6. That video... Goddamn.... Hope every one else who was injured makes a speedy recovery. Throw the book at that owner.
  7. Yea, it's like 1.5 hours from me, but to be honest, (and I know you may hate me for saying it) there isn't really anything there that appeals to me so much that makes the drive worth it. I get my "Boardwalk" fix when I visit Pt Pleasant and Seaside Heights during the summer. Also, Wildwood is also a bit too expensive for me. Though I really enjoy Great White, I don't think the cost-to-rides ratio is worth it, especially when I can spend a day at Six Flags for (practically) free and it's half the distance. Not to say I didn't have a good time there, it just doesn't have enough for me to keep going back.
  8. Great report! I had a blast when I went to Moreys last year but it's a little too far for me to consider going annually. Really liked the elevated flyers!
  9. Hahaha Boldikus beat me. Anyone else thinking of taking advantage of this ride time?
  10. Holy crap, that thing is huge! A lot bigger than I was expecting!
  11. ^ Now THAT would be the real tragedy. Don't ever leave us, cinnamon bread.
  12. ^ Truth, and I'm a sucker for awesome lighting. Great report!
  13. ^ I'm gonna miss this when the ride finally opens.
  14. This is turning out pretty cool. I especially like getting to ride the sky ride through the coaster! I might need to make my way to Iowa at some point!
  15. "Having a sh*tty day at our park? Here's a perfect way to 'top' it off!"
  16. I didn't mean to imply that the push notifications wouldn't be useful; if they introduced them, I'd certainly sign up for them. But like Larry said, there needs to be a large enough audience that would use them, and I can't imagine current usage is even remotely close for it to be something that they'd consider, at least for now. At this point, the people who'd use them mostly consist of a bunch of coaster enthusiasts who are knowledgable enough to know to check social media streams for that kind of information.
  17. Boldikus is 100% right. At some point, common sense and personal responsibility needs to take the forefront. Like he said, there are plenty of reasonable, easy-to-check methods to obtain operational updates. Push alerts are unnecessary, superfluous, and would be a waste of time, energy and resources for the park to bother attempting.
  18. ^ No need to get "so freakin mad". It's just a carousel. Life goes on.
  19. Anyone who still prefers QuickTime as their media player of choice probably still uses Netscape as a browser and maintains a CompuServe email address. Glad to see LIghtning Rod testing! Ill definitely be making a return trip this year once the ride opens!
  20. That's a secret that will stay with me and those three Lithuanian immigrants.
  21. Nothing is butter smooth like sitting in a giant vat of softened butter.
  22. With the acquisition finalized, a whole new group of franchises may soon show up at the various Universal parks:
  23. ^ Did they ever settle on a price point for that? When you click on "Learn More" in the email, it takes you to a broken webpage (surprise, surprise).
  24. At the moment, I'm about five minutes away from FunCoaster at Funplex in Mt Laurel, NJ. I grew up having SFGAdv in my backyard, though. You could hear the roar of the coasters from our yard. After a thirty second drive down the road, you'd be able to see the coasters all creep over the tree line. I could be at home and decide to go to the park at 11:50 and walk through the main gate before 12:00. Miss those days...
