Blackwater Park

I agree. It's going to cause terrible crowding. -
Is this the movie with the guy that has eye sockets in his hands(I forget his name!).

Ladies only swimming sessions at your Pool
RollerC replied to verticalzero's topic in Random, Random, Random
Do you really get offended when someone calls you a cracker? I doubt it. This isn't really descrimination. I mean, there are tons of clubs here in the US where Ladies only have to be 18 to get in whereas men have to be in their early 20's. -

Question! Not sure if it was answered but wasn't that Top Spin missing it's middle support and the two weights that sit on the top? The only ride that looked fun was the Power Surge but I still would not have ridden it. I have seen toooooo many ride accidents at parks that look just like that! Another question, how many people were there and why the hell was it operating? -
Saving Whalom Park? Again???
RollerC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You arn't loosing much. Why spend so much on a park that will close again in a year? We have Kennywood, Dorney, Hersheym SFGADV, SFNE, Canobie, Waldameer, Coney Island, Cedar Point and Geauga Lake. I say we have some more quality parks than the southern and californians. -
SOB New Trains from Myrtle Beach
RollerC replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Racer requires 4 trains. Hurricane only has 2. G-Trains have an awsome design. They just need to remodify their restrain system to something like PTC or MF. -
Tussaud Group [TTG] Bought Out By Merlin
RollerC replied to sebo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
dont forget Corkscrew: worlds first inverting Yea thats wrong. The first inverting was was invented back in the early 1900's. Though you also have Knotts Corkscrew coaster being the first modern coaster to invert riders. Also, Stealth passed Air by 2 years on as the first flying coaster. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
RollerC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would hope, Soak City, while being claimed the "Cedar Point of water parks" is in need of something, although the three speed slides near the entrance are awsome Best picture i could find http://www.gallery.pointpixels.com/details.php?image_id=7245 Is it really being claimed the Cedar Point of waterparks? Thats funny. When I went there, it didn't look like much of a waterpark. There slides look like they were from the early 90's -

Old Six Flags Commercial?
RollerC replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Did both Google and Youtube and they come up with the Mr Six commercials. -
Does anyone have any of the old six flags commercials that came out when they just aquired a park? I remember SFWOA and SFNO had them. I remmeber it started out with a boomerange coaster leaving the cobra roll.

Which parks have changed the most?
RollerC replied to AT0527's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually mostly ever major park has changed over time. Look at pics of any park and they will look totally different. For me, Geauga Lake has changed dramatically. It went from a small picnic park with mabey 20 acers to almost 700 and it went from a small portion of the lake to being around the whole lake. -
Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
RollerC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They have yet to update the site. If you notice, the rollercoaster images are all broken. -
Whats with the pod over the car? Also, wouldnt it take longer to get in, and pull down the restraints than to clip youself to a wire and skim down? I mean what if one of the astronauts decides to pull it so that he gets some floater down the drop and flys out?

Geauga Lakes Old Sloagan
RollerC replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually they rasied the price this year. -
It seems that Geauga Lakes new slogan will be the "Two Parks for the price of one" instead of the lame "What a Surprise". IMO, this is a good change as there hasn't been a surprise since the opening of the new waterpark. Their website has yet to be changed but I suspect it will soon.

Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
RollerC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I doubt they would ever invest in a B&M or Intamin. They most you would see them get is a spinner or a Morgan hyper. -
Which Screamin Swing models are better? The big ones(Swing Shot, Skyhawk) or the 4 seater models that you see at Knotts or Dorney? I would suspect that since the 4 seater version only has 4 seats, its alot lighter, therefore you get a bit more speed and airtime. Though the big models have alot of weight and reach higher points. I was curious because I wonder if the one at Dorney's is worth the money(I rode the one at Kennywood and Cedar Point BTW).

I thought it was boring. And i'm glad I wasn't the only one. Wednesday's episode seen the lowest ratings in the shows history.
