Theme Park hauntings and ghosts
RollerC replied to AllisonY2K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When I was driving past Geauga Lake in the dark, I swore I saw the old corkscrew. It looked like a phantom and it was just cruising along it's black track like it was back in the 70's. -
Haha, I hadn't even realised that, but the moment you said it a soccer announcer in my head screamd, "FIII NAAAA LLYYYYYYY"... Maybe we should speculate what else Cedar Point could remove. I don't see CP removing any of their coasters. Unlike Six Flags, Cedar Fair knows how to keep their rides in working order and dosen't let them sit in their parks and rot for about 5 years. Flashback had some ugly trains! They looked like box's riding on a box track. For anyone who rode it: Was it hard to get any good views infront of you?

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
RollerC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well I live about 15 mins from downtown Cleveland and my county(Lake) and a bunch of others are under a Snow Warning till Saturday at 4pm. 15 inches is nothing compared to the usual. I just saw on our local news that they had one of the cars on the track. -

I wouldn't expect much work this weekend. We have a HUGE snow storm comming in and were supposed to be getting around 15 inches in some areas . -
New shuttle coaster for Conny Land for 2007

This looks awsome! Thats going to be a great view of the coaster and I love how it goes over the parking lot and how the loop and spike are right next to the cars. -
Best Looking Park From A Distance
RollerC replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I forgot Cedar Point. I went there last Labor Day for the first time in 8 years and the skyline has changed(granted I was 10 and didn't care much) and I remember how we were saying we were going to ride TTD first and how my friend got real scared when he saw it peeking over the trees. I forgot to mention GL...er SFWOA. Driving through Solon is like driving through the country then you make out Steel Venoms spike and eventually the Green Monster that used to dominate the entrance . -
Best Looking Park From A Distance

OK, this is hard to explain. What park do you think looks the best and most intimidating from a distance? IE, your driving and you spot the rollercoasters in the background? I think Kennywood is one of the most intimitaing park. I live in NE Ohio and alot of people don't know must about Kennywood so when we decided to take a trip down there, they thought it was a dinky little park but when we rounded the corner, and crossed the bridge, they saw the Pitt Fall towering in the air and the Phantoms Revenge diving into the ravine and I must say they were shocked! I also love when we leave the car and walk to the Entrance and to your left, you see and hear Phantoms train diving down the first drop and Swing Shots famous "Air" sound. It's like music to my ears . -
SFEG & 2006 Six Flags Passes
RollerC replied to tigerxeyez's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think that was the case? That was for Wyandot Lake. Cedar Fair accepted Six Flags season passes for only the 2004 season. -
SFEG & 2006 Six Flags Passes
RollerC replied to tigerxeyez's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm pretty sure they're still going to honor passes bought. They did the same with Geauga Lake for a year after it was bought out. -
Not sure if this was posted already, but some lady ran into the 100+ old arch that has been a symbol for Cleveland and the defunt Euclid Beach Park: http://www.newsnet5.com/news/10723881/detail.html

Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
RollerC replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The bad thing about Kennywood...is that they always take out the best rides and replace them...not that i'm complaining because they always put in awsome replacements ie SwingShot. I hope that when the expansion is complete, they add back alot of the old rides they took out. -
Download my park now!!
RollerC replied to ScOtT k's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Sorry, but I won't be downloading. From the looks of it, it looks like a bunch of pre-made coasters thrown together. -

I think SDC's will be as tall as SwingShot at Kennywood right? -

This will be a great addition. I loved Kennywoods and Cedar Points and I know that if they run both sides efficiently, then the wait shouldn't be that long. Also, that covered part of the queve looks like it will be a great footchopper for both sides of the ride.
