B&M Magnetic brakes
RollerC replied to kaliboiryda510's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it's the same for all magnetic braking. The Jackrabbit and Phantom's Revenge both use magnetic braking and I got to be honest and say that I miss the old sleds for the Jackrabbit and the brake fins for the Phantom because they do brake way too hard for comfort. Without the newer brakes, the train would slam into the back of the train in the station. -

Yea, but from what I understand, you can pour concrete in the snow and you can't pour it when it's below a certian degrees. -

WIll they have time to do the themeing? I mean they relied on the very calm and warm November, December and Janurary but Feburary is hell up here in Northern Ohio. -

I only rode maXair. I loved it. For some reason, the seat I was in had this weird lump so the ride was somewhat uncomfortable. -
I don't mind them. Theres one down the street from me and its packed 24/7. Dosen't matter if its 3am or if there is 1 foot of snow and -20 temps. People here flock it.

Your favorite/best looking park entrance!
RollerC replied to zingo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I liked Kennywoods new entrance: And Geaugas Lakes Wildwater Kingdon Entrance: -
I'v been working on this park for a few months now and it has went through many provisisons. The major one was when I got into a block and couldn't expand on my thrillrides/family rides which annoys me. So I saved all of my coasters and went to landscape editor and redid the whole ride selection and added some custom flats from AE and some more shops and even some more land(I was using the Six Flags Holland Senerio so space was limited). I spent a few hours on a snow day to refill in every ride and then to go through and spruce up the park(It is an old park with old history. Now, I wish I saved the progress of my parks because in the long run, Wildwood lost some very nice and historic coasters: Jack Rabbit Jack Rabbit used to grace the front of the park. It was the first ride you seen when you entered the park and the last ride you saw when you left the park. It was your average John A. Miller woodie. The lift hill was built untop of an old building so John had to do some special support work for it. It operated from 1924-1989. It was lost in a fire . Aeroplane The flying turns was the big brother of the Flying Turns located at Euclid Beach park. It was one of the fastest and most thrilling coaster of its time. It thrilled over 5 million guests in its long history. In 1976 it was refurbished and retracked. In 1998 it was torn down due to old age and the fact that it was getting harder to find parts and maintain. It operated from 1932-1998. Thriller The thriller was the tallest rollercoaster at the time of it's opening. It was a whooping 104ft and had an average speed of 57mph. It thrilled guests in the old entrance which is now a new area called "Frontier Landing". It operated from 1939-1970. A tree fell ontop of it during a blizzard and it costed too much to reprofile. Mind Spin Your average boomerange coaster. It was installed in 1996 and was torn down in 2003 for a redevelopment of the area. Now, Wildwoods oldest operating coaster is the Racer. In 2005 the blue train was placed backwards to give the riders a new experience. I was trying to get some pics but RCT was giving me some problems so expect some in a few. BTW, the park has a Euclid Beach type tower structure which was saved when the park caught fire years ago. It was deemed a national landmark and graces the front entrance. I wish I took pics of the park in the early stages to show you how far it progressed.

Most of mine are from Team America: Spottswoode: Remember, there is no "I" in "Team America". Intelligence: [pause] Yes, there is. Gary Johnston: You can't be serious. Spottswoode: Oh, I am serious. Look, this is my serious face. Spottswoode: Gary, if for some reason your cover is blown, and the terrorists take you prisoner, well, you'll probably want to take your own life. Here, you'd better have this. [hands Gary a hammer] I love that movie.

Why did arrow decide to use straight sections for their drops instead of the gradual slope? It makes the ride alot rougher when your entering and leaving that transaction.

They would have a hard time running it up here. From what I heard, they wanted to sell ever since the boat accident. Also, it's very hard to run a marine park where the temps get into the negatives sometimes. -

I'v been to both and the Cleveland Zoo is way better than SWO. Theres alot more to do and the atmosphere is way better. BTW, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo reached over 1 million(1,203,403 to be exact) guests for the 06 Season. Sea World wasn't much of a lost. -

Don't forget the fact that they maintained the 700,000 even with a shortened season. Had it been a regular season they could of been well into the 800,000 and possibly 900,000. -

You get out with only 7 inches? Thats wuss! Though we were out for Monday and TUesday for temps and the Cleveland schools were out for 3... That isn't much to dismantle it. -
THE WAR ON PREFAB SUPPORTS
RollerC replied to Calaway Park's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I usually mix. I always use some prefab and then I also make my own custom ones. But I don't downrate. It's pointless. You might as well downrate them for using prefab inversions. -

Six Flags Minnesota
RollerC replied to riccoaster's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
If you want a true Six Flags look your gonna want to widen the paths by two or 3 squares. Even if your not looking for that, the guests will still complain about the crowding and your park rating will go down. -

They didn't ruin it. Actually, SF let it go to crap in its 3 years of operating under them. CF is actually fixing the flaws and finaly give it some love. -

It's being retracked and the trick track is being taken out so it should be smoother. The video could also be evidence as to when someone actually gets a concusion on the ride. -

I wouldn't say Dorney and Carowinds are due for a coaster. They already got something in 2004. There are alot of other parks that haven't recieved anything in almost 6 years.
