  1. ^^ I second Time Warp. Complete waste of space, even for a small one . This removed plus Flight Deck can make room for a large quality looping coaster that Wonderland has been missing since... well... Top Gun 20 years ago
  2. Cedar Fair. I find that their parks have a more pleasant atmosphere and a much simpler fast/platinum pass system. The only category Six Flags may have the advantage is wood coasters.
  3. Disney World.... because even after a week there, you still can't get enough of it
  4. The lack of knowledge by the GP doesn't entertain me so much as the language they use to identify the rides. They'll rant & rave about "The Millenium Force" or "The Tatsu" ... it just sounds weird hearing it
  5. Ghoster Coaster
  6. A few from some coaster adventures: Talking Mr. Potato Head = major trip-out Stylin' & Profilin' at Knott's with the good sir In my happy place Big green bastard ain't got s*** on me!
  7. I'd say Phoenix is one of the few that has, if anything, gained historical significance after being relocated to Knoebels
  8. I've only been on five, all decent: 1. Griffon (if you count it) 2. Dominator 3. Hydra 4. Scream/Bizarro
  9. ^ Thunderbolt and Jackrabbit are amazing rides! Especially considering how old they are. How exactly did this "roughness" poll come about? It looks more like a list of oldest operating coasters if anything.
  10. I've only been on Goliath at La Ronde, although RCDB seems to classify it as a hypercoaster
  11. I don't believe in riding kiddie coasters unless you have kids with you. I've been denied riding Jr. Gemini and Taxi Jam as a solo adult, and Kosmo's Kurves actually warns guests not to have two adults sitting together. If it's being discouraged, then I won't ride. Guess I'd better get on having children
  12. 1. Canada's Wonderland - ??? (went there as a kid and now I go pretty much every other weekend) 2. Cedar Point - 9 trips 3. Darien Lake - 4 trips
  13. 1. El Toro 2. I305 3. X2 4. Maverick 5. Phantom's Revenge 6. Storm Runner 7. Xcelerator 8. Top Thrill Dragster 9. Millenium Force 10. Ride of Steel
  14. Mega-lites seem to be the enigma of the roller coaster world. If they ever come to North America, I simply don't see them coming to any corporate big-boy park like Cedar Fair or Six Flags. I imagine it would be a smaller pound-for-pound park with unique, quality rides. Some possibilities: - Dollywood - BG Tampa - Any Sea World - Knoebels - Holiday World - Silver Dollar City
  15. Biased Canadian here, but I'd like to see Vancouver get a theme park. Toronto has CW (Cedar Fair), Montreal has La Ronde (Six Flags)... SeaWorld British Columbia has a nice ring to it
  16. This year was everything I expected and more! 70 new coasters Here are some highlights of my new coaster experiences: - SFMM (Feb): had some amazing coasters, but Apocalypse really took me by surprise - Knotts (Feb): it was chilly and raining, so the park was dead, and we got on Xcelerator five times in a row and could not get sick of it - Hershey (Mar): only went on six coasters, but that was all we needed to go on... Storm Runner was awesome, SkyRush was not advertised to be running but it was! - Martin's (Jun): random day trip, didn't expect much, but Silver Comet was an awesome woodie! Really picks up the pace at the end. - Dorney (Jul): got to the park mid day, went to dinner, came back and it started P*SSING down rain and everyone left, but we didn't care so we changed into our swimsuits and went back into the park. 20 minutes later the rain stopped, and we had the park almost to ourselves for the entire evening - Knoebels (Jul): how cool is a park inside a small village??? Twister was good, Phoenix was great, even took the time to go on the carousel.. missed out on the ring toss though - Waldameer (Aug): I've been to Cedar Point nine times coming from Toronto, yet this was my first drop-in along the way. Ravine Flyer II was great, but Steel Dragon was surprisingly fun... every wild mouse-ish ride should be like that one! Only thing left for this year is Kennywood Fright Nights, looking forward to Racer for the first time
  17. ^ I agree with this one And I just wiki'd Goliath - correct, no B&M association at all, my mistake
  18. Well, kinda sorta it got subbed out to Giovanola, right? I still count it
  19. Goliath at SFMM made me grey out when I went on it, same with any large stand-up on the vertical loop
  20. The Top 100 would look a lot better with these guys: - Any Megalite - Balder - Dauling Dragons - ispeed - Katun - Shambhala - Storm Runner
  21. 38 if you count Ride of Steel (DL) instead of Superman (SFA), Xcelerator instead of Stealth, and Bizarro (SFNJ) instead of Medusa. It'll be 43 after my Florida Trip in February.
  22. Phantom's Revenge's light green looks a bit tacky considering the theme
