  1. Adventure City (just south of Knott's) is building their Gerstlauer family shuttle coaster, although I don't know if it's opening late this year or 2015.
  2. Alan Schilke step in the game. Alan Schilke is the answer to life.
  3. I don't separate wooden and steel coasters in my top 10. It's just all compiled. 1. Maverick (CP) 2. Millennium Force (CP) 3. Diamondback (KI) 4. X2 (SFMM) 5. Full Throttle (SFMM) 6. Banshee (KI) 7. Top Thrill Dragster (CP) 8. Beast (KI) 9. Magnum XL-200 (CP) 10. Goliath (SFMM) This will definitely change when I ride Twisted Colossus next year.
  4. People touching me. I have quite the personal bubble.
  5. If the 10-second Intamin is totally kick-a$$, I'll go with that. If it's total boringness, I'll go with the super loop. Would you rather have legs as long as your fingers, or fingers as long as your legs?
  6. A roller coaster without any seat belt at all! What's worse than Expedition G-Force getting retrofitted with Revolution's restraints, each hill heightened by 15 feet (less airtime), and adding trim brakes every 100 feet of track?
  7. I'm going with Twisted Colossus. Even if/when SFMM doesn't time the trains right to make them duel, I still feel it'll be better because you get two rides in one, and the amount of airtime appears to be more than WC (when you factor in both sides of TC). Either way, they're both RMCs, and they both will be fantastic!
  8. I haven't been to a whole lot of theme parks, but here goes. California: Currently X2, but Twisted Colossus could very well change that. Nevada: Desperado (haven't been on El Loco). Utah: Colossus the Fire Dragon (haven't been since Wicked). Ohio: Maverick. Florida: Expedition Everest (haven't been to any of the Seaworld or Universal parks).
  9. This is what I like most about it. One queue line, one station, one train loaded at a time, yet it is basically two rides!
  10. I've gotta go with Mean Streak. It was quite rough, and on top of that, the layout was totally boring and forceless. The train squeaks around the curves, and overall it's just not a good coaster. I hope CP does something with it soon, whether tear it down, refurb, RMC, etc.
  11. Honestly, I don't mind the addition. It's a pretty cool flat, and any Six Flags parks could use some more flats. I just hate how they're marketing it as a coaster...even the GP knows it isn't!
  12. ^I believe this is why. Colossus had a slight turn before dropping, so RMC had to incorporate that into TC.
  13. A-days 1. Spanish II 3. Wind Ensemble I (concert band) 5. Chemistry 7. Modern World History B-days 1. Spanish II 2. Pre-Calculus 4. Adv. English II 6. Drafting I
  14. I would fly at 2000mph across country to get to SFGAdv so I can finally ride El Toro! What if Superman at SFMM had cars where riders sat sideways, and you were launched sideways?
  15. Viper at SFMM...a little over a year ago. When was the last time you experienced slow operations on a roller coaster?
  16. Hmm...there are so many choices. How about Mr. Freeze? Vekoma SLC w/ bonus helix
  17. A pet platypus! Would you rather be 2 feet shorter than your current height, or 2 feet taller?
  18. ^Do I see a bunch of little airtime hills over to the right, leading in to the lift hill? That'll be interesting (in a good way)!
  19. Wow, Twisted Colossus looks AWESOME. Not the biggest fan of the name, but nonetheless the coaster looks like it has potential to be the best at SFMM, the best in California, and arguably the best coaster west of the Mississippi. But no one has ridden it obviously, so we'll have to see... But what I do know is that I am definitely getting passes next year! So excited to finally see an RMC in California!
  20. I wish they would do this. I'm going to hate having to wait for both sides. I believe they are doing this. It only loads one train at a time, but once blue is done with the course, it goes up on the green and does the green side. Set up like the Smiler (like I said a few pages back).
  21. You go around twice. It's a möbius loop (except only one track loads in the station, not two)! Notice the section of the video where the blue track turns green and speeds up the other side of the lift hill. So technically speaking, this is only one roller coaster, bringing SFMM back to 19. Definitely getting passes next year! EDIT: It's set the same way as the Smiler. And that's good, because if this was two separate coasters (like a dueling coaster), SFMM would only every run one side. On this, even if they run only one train, you still go around both tracks!
  22. I heard that they've been wanting to do an inverted coaster for a while now. That would be really cool, and could easily compete with B&M Inverts given the superior restraints.
  23. I have a quick question. I sent my payment over a week ago (I believe it was the 16th) and I still haven't received a confirmation email that my payment has arrived. Am I supposed to receive one?
  24. Maverick...front row...at night. Simply amazing.
  25. ^SFMM? Flat ride? Hah! They just got one in 2012! Remember, they're only allowed to add one every decade!
