  1. Any Vekoma Boomerang named Boomerang
  2. Skycoasters and cable drop towers. I have no problem with air-launched towers though.
  3. I've been on Incredible Hulk and Wildfire. Incredible Hulk is my #3 steel coaster and Wildfire is my #8 steel coaster.
  4. Definitely River King Mine Train @ SFSTL. I'd love to see a ride similar to FireChaser Express replace it, because its layout is awful, slow, boring, and it has 3 lifts.
  5. I love the idea of a trip that covers a lot of America. Definitely looks like a great adventure.
  6. I've seen them at Lake Winnie and Wild Waves There used to be at least one at one of the Jersey Shore parks I'd probably never ride one again. It was a painful and slow ride.
  7. The worst flat ride I've been on at a fair is a Larson Fireball. They look good, but the ride has no G-forces so you just slam into the OTSR's while riding through the loop. Glad I've never seen one at a theme park.
  8. I'd love to see SeaWorld create a documentary about how they help their animals. But then the public would accuse them of lying and say that the movie was just a show to make it look like what they're doing is right. I freaking love SeaWorld and will continue to support them until there is significant, real evidence that what they're doing is wrong, and I don't see any of that evidence yet, just biased documentaries and news articles. Plus, why are they getting all the blame for stuff like this? There are plenty of marine parks and zoos that make money off of animals, yet SeaWorld is the only one wrongly accused of mistreating animals?
  9. SFGAm is 5-6 hours away from St. Louis. They can both be big parks and both be successful. SFOT and SFFT are way closer to each other and both have gotten huge additions in the past years. SFSTL has the potential to be both a family park and a high-thrill park, kind of like SDC (minus the amazing theming, of course). Six Flags Corporate main concern is protecting their turf within a 4 hours radius of SFStL from WoF and SDC. They are not overly concerned about cannibalizing SFGAm business. I agree. In my opinion, they have a much better selection of coasters than WoF, but they need something to make them AT LEAST around the same level as SDC. Here is how the breakdown of the rides for me go: WoF vs. SFSTL Mamba vs. Mr. Freeze= Mr. Freeze Patriot vs. Batman= Batman Boomerang vs. Boomerang= tie Spinning Dragons vs. Pandemonium= tie Timber Wolf vs. Boss= Boss Prowler vs. American Thunder= Prowler SDC vs. SFSTL Thunderation vs. River King Mine Train= Thunderation Wildfire vs. Batman= Batman (very close, though) Outlaw Run vs. Boss= Outlaw Run Mr. Freeze vs. Powder Keg= Powder Keg (another very close call) My family has visited SDC just as many times as SFSTL this year, primarily because of Outlaw Run. We live four and a half hours from SDC and a half hour from SFSTL. If SFSTL had one more signature ride they could be just as popular as SDC in my opinion.
  10. I have to agree with the music comments. It's not about how horrible the songs are, what makes me annoyed is how many times you have to listen to them in one day.
  11. Your idea sounds great, but I just want to get through the 2014 season before I start getting excited about 2015. I'm really hoping the park is a success though.
  12. I'm really pumped up to be going. Is Platinum Fast Lane worth the extra money, though? GateKeeper we could ride early if we decide to stay at the hotel, but how long can waits for Dragster get? Also, how long would waits be in the normal queue compared to the Fast Lane queue? I'm sorry to be asking so many questions, but I appreciate the help.
  13. I love trip reports because they can be both interesting and helpful for planning future trips. I love the idea of a lesson and artifacts for each day.
  14. I occasionally use chat but since nobody's ever on it I normally only stay on it for around 5 minutes. I used to use it more frequently.
  15. I was stupid and didn't realize we'd be going the first week in June, not the week right after Memorial Day. But I'm guessing it won't be too crowded then right? I'm talking Monday-Wednesday.
  17. Steel: Mr. Freeze at SFSTL (218 feet) Wood: Voyage @ HW for height (163 feet) and Outlaw Run @ SDC for drop height (162 feet)
  18. Can't wait to see more of the trip report
  19. I'll probably ride both next year. At least the rides LOOK good
  20. How crowded can Cedar Point get Memorial Day and the days after? I'm planning on maybe doing HolliWood Nights at Holiday World Friday and Saturday, maybe Kings Island the next day or two, and then Cedar Point for two days. We'd most likely get Fast Lane, but I saw a trip report where Fast Lane queue's still had long waits.
  21. I'd choose Outlaw Run and the Giant Barn Swing (an S&S Screamin' Swing). I'd like both complete with theming.
  22. Christmas is the smallest area ride-wise, which is strange since it is the holiday that started it all. That is why it is strange the entire area is kiddie rides. I mean, they're needed, but there should be some other family rides in the area as well. I just find it weird most of the other holiday areas have room to expand, but Christmas is completely surrounded.
  23. I don't see the point since it's like an extra 30 seconds to go the other way. I don't blame them for not deconstructing Insanity Alley during the summer season since it takes more effort to put it up each year.
  24. I visited over Thanksgiving and found out the park has other parking areas down the road. My family parked in "The Bank". How often does the park have to open up those lots?
  25. I wish the park expanded the Christmas section to include some family/thrill rides, but the area is sort of surrounded. Maybe they could build a coaster to take a tunnel under the road and expand across from the park.
