  1. SeaWorld is one of my favorites. Great coasters, great landscaping, great animal exhibits. I definitely want to go back soon.
  2. That pic is awesome, makes it look like Goliath is collapsing.
  3. Six Flags St. Louis Fun Facts: -Colossus, at eighteen stories, is the largest Ferris wheel in any American amusement park. It is also built on the site of the Pet-A-Pet petting zoo. -In the 2011 off-season, Tony Hawk's Big Spin was officially renamed Big Spin. Before the season began the park quickly changed the name to Pandemonium, but the park maps for the year had already been printed and Pandemonium was listed as Big Spin. -A flat ride called the Hannibarrels sat SBNO from 1997-2013, and has been finally demolished to be replaced by Tsunami Soaker. -A Dark Knight Coaster clone was ordered for SFSTL and American Thunder was ordered for SFNE. But when they didn't get permits for American Thunder at SFNE, the rides were switched.
  4. On Batman at SFSTL, my restraint came unlocked once the train was dispatched. It locked again right after we were on the lift hill. I was freaked out for a few seconds. This actually happened twice this year (both in row 6 or 7, I can't remember).
  5. This pic from RCDB seems to match the car in the office.
  6. I'm sure if parks wanted them and paid enough RMC would build a clone for them, but I think RMC would rather continue to develop new ride elements and designs instead of copying old ones. I think parks would rather have custom creations that are even more ground breaking than the last coaster, because RMC is going to keep pushing the limits.
  7. It is definitely better than Orlando's. Orlando has outdated themeing that is "okay", but this park went all out with Storm. Plus, I wouldn't have realized Journey to Atlantis was a water coaster if RCDB hadn't told me.
  8. Did you tell the ride operators? Sounds freaky
  9. SeaWorld was smart to release the letter. It's good to see them finally standing up for themselves.
  10. This isn't a simulator. It's like MILF and Turtle Talk but with Stitch instead.
  11. I ask that any one who enjoys my reports please give me some feedback or comments. These things take time to post, and I hope SOMEBODY is enjoying reading these. Thanks
  12. I disagree. The reason Universal is rushing to build the new projects is because the new owners liked the profit that come with it. Don't get me wrong, there are rides and areas of the park that need to be updated. But if you go by that theory, you pretty much have a half a park that needs to be upgraded. I remember reading somewhere that Comcast is going to spend millions each year at Universal and in return make millions in profit. I think they realized the concept of "you spend money, to make money". When its all said and done the new attractions, resort and restaurants will bring a load of profit to Comcast. I totally agree that they are doing this to make a profit, but they also have to focus on updating their parks more often than Disney because while Disney movies are passed down from generation to generation, some of Universal's films don't retain their popularity. People go to Disney for the "Disney experience" that will always be there and many will only go to Universal if something new is added (although that may change as Universal continues to create Harry Potter attractions, because that is one franchise that will always stay relevant).
  13. The entire Fantasyland expansion was elaborate with all the scenic work and rockwork. Those things take longer than just building a ride building and giving it a facade. Not saying Universal slacks off with their themeing, because they don't. I'm also not saying Universal doesn't work faster to get rides done, because that's also not true. The reason Universal is rushing to get their projects done is because they want to keep the hype up over their attractions. Universal needs to keep updating their rides because eventually most of the movies and TV shows they use go out of date (probably not Harry Potter, but Barney, Jimmy Neutron, Woody Woodpecker, etc.). But Disney can take however long they want because no matter what people will still support them and get excited over them, and the movies they use are classics and continue to stay popular.
  14. Awesome job, Robb...good to get a good laugh at the end of a stressful day at work. That pretty much sums it all up in one post! Yeah, his post made my day ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I agree with the above posts. SeaWorld is a world class park with or without the orca show. The other shows are just as phenomenal (if not better), the park is stunning visually, both coasters are very good, and the manta exhibit is awesome. Also, the express pass here is a great deal (only $30), and you get unlimited admission to the front of pretty much every decent ride in the park.
  15. ^^Wow, they're further along than I thought. Looks like they are close to being halfway done.
  16. It actually looks like a pretty good wild mouse coaster.

  20. How often do you guys get spin tokens in your gift bags? I haven't gotten any yet. Also, we aren't even halfway to our first community prize.
