  1. He probably means Lightning Run. I did. What park has two coasters that have similar names? Seriously, Lightning Run and Thunder Run, that has to be intentional. We all know I won't be the last to get the names mixed up. Well of course the park named Lightning Run to match Thunder Run. They were named like that to be a "matching pair" or whatever.
  2. He probably means Lightning Run. He knows what he meant, that's why he put a "wink" emoji.
  3. After seeing Silver Dollar City's Christmas event, SFFT looks good lit up but SDC's light display is just so much more impressive. But I'm not complaining, considering most parks don't put ANY effort into having a Christmas festival.
  4. I'm glad to see so many people excited about this. I'm definitely going to back the project, and hopefully get to visit it next year on my way through Chicago. But is it going to be done by next summer? I didn't see a date on Kickstarter. Even if it won't be open next summer I don't mind, because I'm sure they're going to try to get all the details right, and that takes time.
  5. The cobra roll on a Boomerang. Slow and boring.
  6. -People smoking in non-designated areas -Rude park employees -When ride-ops make kids take off their shoes before measuring -When the park only has one train running and the lines are horribly wrong but the park's excuse is that it is "early in the season"
  7. The POV was cool. I wish parks in the US (other than Universal or Disney), would put in a ride as well-themed as this one.
  8. I hope Six Flags buys that flat and themes it to the Scarecrow villain from the Batman series. They could even make it an indoor ride.
  9. At least it hints the Glow in the Park Parade is returning! Hopefully it also comes back to SFSTL as well but I'm not betting on it
  10. The problem is that Six Flags and the rest of the theme park industry don't believe that (except for Disney). A lot of parks have failed because they thought if they built something cool everyone would just go straight there (Hard Rock Park). Six Flags needs evidence the park can support a large-budget addition before they can just give them one.
  11. I believe the only theme-park related ornaments I have are a few my grandparents got for me from Hersheypark and my 2013 Club TPR ornament. We are still in the process of decorating the tree so I can't take any pics.' Edit: I remember I have this year's SDC season pass holder ornament as well.
  12. Has SFSTL ever added any new ride over a budget of $10 million?
  13. Lightning Run doesn't look like a huge coaster. I'm sure Kentucky Kingdom wants to and will have it ready for opening day.
  14. I've seen lots of other pictures and I'm always shocked as to the amount of theming in the park (for a Six Flags park at least). Plus the rock quarry is beautiful.
  15. Mexico looks like a nicer place than I give it credit for.
  16. Will there be ANY theme to match the train design or will it just be generic? Was there really any discussion about giving American Eagle the Iron Horse or was it just a coverup? Will igNite be returning? What were the clues in the teaser videos, since I don't know if anyone figure them out?
  17. Hopefully the park takes good care of the coaster. I too am wondering what the onride audio is going to be.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised as that's what they did with X-Flight. That's one thing that sort of irks me about Great America, I don't get why they wouldn't want their new coaster to be open to everyone on opening day. For those who only go once a year, it would seem like a ripoff if they went to the park early in the season only for Goliath to not be open yet or only be open to season pass holders. At SFSTL they opened Boomerang one day before opening day for season pass holders and the GP didn't mind. But I mean, it is a Boomerang...
  19. I could see Polercoaster going into City Walk. If it ends up anywhere near Orlando though I'd definitely ride it next time I went down there.
  20. Tornado looks kind of worn but still pretty fun
  21. Screamscape says there is discussion over if someone new is reopening Celebration City. I'm hoping The Track buys it as their fifth location in Branson, and then reopens Wildcat, adds a few kiddie rides, and adds a few go-kart tracks as well. But it is probably just a pipe dream.
  22. I'm hoping for Twisted Twins to be merged into one ride. Or keep one side the same and turn one side into a crazy Iron Horse creation.
  23. My dad doesn't think Banshee looks that impressive but I'm really excited to ride. It's probably because in his eyes it's just another Batman-style coaster.
  24. So they AREN'T tearing down those western facades?
