  1. Do you know where the third one would have been located?
  2. American Eagle
  3. The coasters themselves look decent and I was hoping to get a chance to ride them. But Universal won't keep the space empty for long if they go.
  4. It's Six Flags. The park would make the area look nice if corporate gave them the cash, but I'm pretty sure the ride is just going to be plopped down on the blacktop and given a standard queue. Nothing fancy.
  5. Portrait Studios
  6. Six Flags Great America
  7. I doubt it will be fully enclosed. Covered bridges normally just have a covering but the sides are open.
  8. I'm excited to ride my first alpine coaster in Pigeon Forge next year. Is it possible to ride the entire coaster without braking until the end?
  9. Best: Thunderation at Silver Dollar City is amazing. It has a great helix, a great last drop, and some positive-G's as well. The queue is very well themed as well. Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder is a close second. Worst: River King Mine Train at Six Flags St. Louis. It is boring, slow, shaky, and it has THREE lift hills. Just a really bad ride.
  10. Does adding all these coasters really make SFMM any more popular with tourists or locals? Tourists go to California for Disney, Universal, and, somtimes, Knott's. Locals would know by now how run down the park is and stay away. So will the attendance increase AT ALL if they add a #20?
  11. Does Six Flags still have a good relationship with Gerstlauer after the NTAG incident? I mean, Six Flags placed the blame on Gerstlauer and vice versa, so would they still be doing business with each other?
  12. Well, at least the comments on the photo are all pro-Sea World. It shows that not all of the GP are so easily swayed by garbage documentaries.
  13. Both coasters need the track work. Screamin' Eagle's track work would keep it smooth for a long time, but Boss's new track would cost more and would only last a few months before becoming unbearably rough again. That's why corporate needs to choose to either pay for Iron Horse or topper track OR just demolish the ride.
  14. I'd sign up for a Disney pass and then die of a heart attack after seeing the price
  15. Six Flags St. Louis: The park's carousel will be celebrating its 100th anniversary, so (some sources from the SFSTL thread) say it may be refurbished and relocated to the park's central plaza. It's old location would leave enough room for a decent kiddie/family coaster. Silver Dollar City: Half of the people claim 2015 will bring a Geyser Gulch replacement. The other half claim a big, new B&M coaster is coming. Not only is the Geyser Gulch rumor much more likely (the park sent out emails asking for comments on ideas they had for the replacement), I think it is also a better option. The Riverfront is one of the most generic theme park areas of SDC, and a rethemeing as a Fireworks Factory would help the area blend better with the rest of the park.
  16. I completely agree with you on this. They have done some really great work with Disney, such as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, and Big Grizzly Mountain.
  17. Nice Photo TR of your trip, Woodie Warrior. The only feedback I would give would be "focus". I believe this is the first TR I've seen you post so not bad if it was your first one. Yeah, the photos were kind of blurry because I was using a crappy digital camera. But thanks for the feedback!
