  1. That awkward moment when I realize I've seen that band live (they're called AJR). I love that song. Lol.
  2. This is a completely pointless conversation. Can't we wait until Holiday World tells us how they are going to handle the pathways? Does it seriously even matter?
  3. So true. The GP have no idea how well-rounded and generally cared for SFOG is compared to some of the other parks in the chain... Though it does look like SFStl finally got something decent this year with a top notch, state of the art dark ride. SFA and SFDK have it way worse than our park. We get good additions every once and awhile (Boomerang, well, not so much).
  4. I mean, 22 signatures isn't going to make any change, I don't even think 22 thousand would. Although it's not like it's unreasonable to ask for better maintenance and upkeep around the park. Then again, while I've never been to the park, isn't it one of the better looking Six Flags parks?
  5. Goliath at Six Flags Great America is very compact as well.
  6. Missouri: Outlaw Run Ohio: Millennium Force Indiana: The Voyage Kentucky: Lightning Run Illinois: Goliath Florida: The Incredible Hulk Coaster Wisconsin: Hades 360 Minnesota: SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge Pennsylvania: Vapor Trail (only coaster I've ridden in that state)
  7. Walter Bolliger Will Koch Alan Schilke Werner Stengel
  8. Mean Streak was extremely smooth this year when I rode it at CoasterMania. It just has such a boring layout, like every other Dinn coaster in existence.
  9. Out of all the parks that haven't gotten an RMC yet, SFSTL sounds like it would be the most likely one to get one next. I could see one at SFGAD, even though they have El Toro. I'd guess next year will be Iron Boss here and a brand-new RMC at SFGAD.
  10. I went with Twisted Colossus. It is RMC's most unique ride to date. Absolutely love the high five and zero-G roll elements that interact with the other track. Wicked Cyclone looks great, but to me it isn't anything original. I'm sure it'll be great (I'm a huge RMC fan boy), but it doesn't really have anything in it we haven't seen on an RMC before. TC is totally different than the other RMC rides, so I went with it. Don't get me wrong though, WC looks spectacular as well.
  11. ^Was coming over here to post that same quote. Lol
  12. Sweet! A brand new Gravitron! a world record breaking Gravitron No, no, no! You got it all wrong. Starship 2000 for the win!!! Leaked Image of Six Flags Great Adventure's 13th coaster, "Goliath" Coming 2016 No no no no... You've got it all wrong. Looping Dragon is the 13th coaster! Goliath would be 14!
  13. No, my comment was in no way directed at you. It wasn't really directed at any person in this thread. Just on other websites and the SFSTL facebook and twitter pages. I agree that we need a new thrill ride next year.
  14. This is my opinion after riding a Fireball (the Super Loops are taller and I believe they have better restraints): Yes, they do look like a lot of fun. However, the hangtime on them is extremely painful with the god-awful restraints (however, like I said before, I think the newer models have improved restraints). Anyways...back to SFSTL... After reading through comments on the new ride (not just on here, there are comments like this on Facebook), I am shocked less people are excited. People CANNOT seem to make up their mind on what they want of our park: Public: We want some more theming! Why can't the rides at this park have any theming? Also, Scooby-Doo always seems to have effects not working, and the capacity is dreadful. Six Flags: Hey! Look guys, here is Justice League! A replacement for Scooby-Doo. It has better capacity, lots of theming, and it should be a great ride for the entire family. Public: WTF! This is ridiculous. We loved Scooby-Doo! Sure, a park in the chain is getting a year-round haunt as its addition, one is getting a pirate splash area, and four are getting crappy carnival rides. But we want more.
  15. Wicked Cyclone looks like it'll be a great coaster. However, there is one main reason that I think Twisted Colossus looks a lot better: it is TOTALLY different than any other RMC coaster we've seen before. Now, I love RMC, I want that to be clear. Outlaw Run is by far the best coaster I've ridden. However, honestly this looks like a mash-up of all the past RMC hybrids. Is that a bad thing? Not in the least. This looks like a great great GREAT ride. But Twisted Colossus is RMC's first dueling coaster, and while it may be a little gimmicky, the high-five element and the zero-G rolls twisting around each other look completely insane, unlike anything the company has done before.
  16. After looking at the last clue on SFSTL's Facebook, I'm actually convinced that there will be a Fright Fest overlay before construction begins on Justice League. It might explain why nothing official has been announced for Fright Fest yet. Guess we will see tomorrow.
  17. I love the look of the Mayflower, and it was a great choice (and an obvious one, too) for the park. It is a great family flat. But honestly, if you've already ridden a swinging ship, skip it. The ride cycle was extremely short, the ride starts to slow down right after getting to its full height. And there is a rule that you can't put your hands up that makes zero sense to me. Like I said, it was a great choice for the park, and I love Holiday World, so I'm trying to be as positive as possible. I'd just recommend spending your time riding Liberty Launch or Sparkler instead.
  18. God, that is such a god awful name for a coaster. Why does everybody insist on that being the next coaster's name? I don't care if it's a creature from Jewish mythology. There is no way that that CW chose Leviathan and Behemoth as names simply because they're from Jewish mythology. They chose them because they're synonyms for "gigantic" Although I agree that Canada's Wonderland needs another big new coaster, I mean out of all 16 of their coasters, only 2 are anything special. Just as long as it isn't named Ziz
  19. Exactly. In an off year for most of the chain, where many of the parks are getting Super Loops, SFSTL is getting what could be, and I'm pretty sure will be, the best dark ride in the chain. This isn't a park-manufactured ride, it is coming from Sally, who make some of the best dark rides in the world, minus the ones in Disney and Universal parks, of course. What I'm trying to say is, some major parks in the chain are getting a crappy (in my opinion) carnival ride, while we are getting an ultra-themed, high-tech dark ride.
  20. The park needs inversions. Not another hyper-type coaster. I'm not saying that a giga coaster wouldn't be great (and it would bring in a lot of people), but I just don't think it would be a great fit for the park, at least not at this time.
  21. I'm expecting something huge in the next couple years. A launched coaster, hopefully with inversions. We'll see.
  22. Now I'm torn on whether it's sitdown/floorless Mantis or RMC Mean Streak. Either one would be great. My guess is that both of those will eventually happen, with one of them coming next year. I also predict that whatever comes next year will also get renamed King James (assuming they're really serious about that). I don't think there will be a RMC Mean Streak since we know the two RMCs this year are Wicked Cyclone and Twisted Colossus and the third is Wildfire which will open in 2016 (we know this since Alan Schilke mentioned that there will be 3 RMC coasters opening in 2015 and 2016). Wait...does that mean no new RMC's will be announced next year! If there's only 3, then there won't be any new RMC's at Six Flags parks for 2016. RMC is expanding their workshop. It wouldn't surprise me if in a few years we start to see 4-5 new creations each year.
