  1. Just a thought, as there is only 7 cars, while in Scooby-Doo, there are about 20 boats (at full capacity). Scooby-Doo has not run that many boats in YEARS.
  2. There is no reason why it shouldn't be finished right now. It was this year's new ride, not next year's. Also, the majority of the ride is INDOORS where weather has zero effect.
  3. But if you think about it the ride time is shorter because the boats moved extremely slowly though the water on Scooby-Doo, plus loading and unloading times should improve. Capacity shouldn't be too horrible.
  4. This will be the world's tallest beyond vertical drop, right?
  5. Is it an elevator lift or vertical lift? It's a Vertical Elevator Lift similar to Divertical's. Okay thanks. I was confused. I thought vertical lift meant one similar to a Eurofighter.
  6. Is it an elevator lift or vertical lift?
  7. If I remember right, Scooby had a max of 18 boats, but last season it operated with just 9. A few were refurbished for this season, making the ride run with twelve for most of the year, if I'm not mistaken. I remember riding it and being able to see a few boats a head of ours while riding. Nowadays due to the lower number of boats, you can't ever see the boat ahead of yours while riding.
  8. It should still have a far higher capacity than Scooby ever did, so why does it really matter?
  9. I wonder if Canada's wonderland is getting Darien Lake's 'Cuda Falls slides? I'm starting to think that you purposely make stupid posts in threads just so that you can bring Darien Lake into every conversation on this forum.
  10. GateKeeper is the most beautiful coaster I've seen. However if Fury 325's colors pop in real life as much as they do in the concept art, that could take GateKeeper's spot.
  11. I can't imagine airtime on a stand-up being anything but painful
  12. That would be awesome if Dollywood got an original RMC wooden coaster while SFOG got Iron Cyclone. Would be two more reasons to plan a trip to both parks.
  13. I've been to SFSTL on days when the water park was at full limit. They never stopped people from coming through the main park's gates, they just stopped people from entering past the turnstiles that enter into Hurricane Harbor. Whenever somebody would exit the water park they'd let one person through the turnstile into the water park. So I don't think the park as a whole has a capacity limit, but the water park does.
  14. The ride would probably have to be an upcharge simply because of its capacity. I mean, it only seats 4 riders. Unless there is a version of it that seats a lot more.
  15. That thing looks too insane to exist. The most insane-looking ride I've seen in a while. Another "never in the US" ride.
  16. Outlaw Run is by far the most intense coaster I've ridden. I've probably ridden rides with more positive-G's, but Outlaw Run does not let up from start to finish. I believe what Alan Schilke said was that when you have a really high-G inversion on a ride, it pretty much controls how intense the ride is.
  17. I rode a Zipper for the first time today at a local fair. It was fun, but for some reason I thought the cars were supposed to do complete flips. Ours didn't do any at all. We also rode a Rock O Plane and that was a great ride, I think I liked it better than the Zipper. Also had my first elephant ear. Mmmmm so good.
  18. Disney: Magic Kingdom Universal: Islands of Adventure Six Flags: Great America Cedar Fair: Kings Island Herschend: Silver Dollar City SeaWorld: Orlando Independent: Holiday World
  19. TOP WOOD 1. Outlaw Run (#1 overall as well) 2. The Voyage 3. Goliath @ Six Flags Great America 4. Hades 360 5. Cyclops 6. American Thunder 7. Prowler 8. The Legend 9. The Raven 10. Racer @ Kings Island TOP STEEL 1. Millennium Force 2. Maverick 3. Powder Keg 4. Lightning Run 5. The Incredible Hulk Coaster 6. Raging Bull 7. Diamondback 8. Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast @ Six Flags St. Louis 9. Manta @ SeaWorld Orlando 10. GateKeeper
  20. Otherwise known as "meals". Just thought of a great idea! How about a restaurant/butcher shop right outside the ride with suspicious looking meat being served? "Cannibal's Cafe and Butcher Shop: It's Not Human Meat, We Swear!"
  21. Reminds me of my past trip to Silver Dollar City. A kind old man thought it would be nice to stand right behind me and cool me down by coughing right on the back of my neck.
  22. Don't get so attached to name. I bet once the ride is officially announced, they will have to change it because it is "offensive to victims of cannibalism and even offensive to cannibals themselves". Plus we can't let little kids know what cannibalism is because it will ruin their precious little brains. (PS, that was all sarcasm)
